I ordered Sustainable salmon bowl with ancient grains and I had no idea of what party was. About to happen on my taste buds. Look at the before picture and the after picture! The pesto was fresh and delicious and the huancaina sauce complimented the over all dish. When you hear grilled veggies I'm sure you never that you'd get green beans, baby acorn squash, purple and white potatoes, etc... man! I will be there again next week! I was so impressed with the Farm Veggies bowl. I got it with half grains and half greens and cashew chipotle sauce. The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The chipotle sauce was good and the grains were yummy too. I just visited this place for lunch and I will for sure come back. I ordered the chicken salad and the Pina colada pop and they were delicious! The folks who take your order are kind and provide great customer service always. I ordered online for pick up once for dinner and my food was ready in 10 minutes. As I walked in, the person at the register knew who I was and greeted and called me by my name. WOW! I felt so seen and so appreciated. Talk about going above and beyond. The sauce.. the avocados, the fries, the MEAT.. gosh I'm drooling just writing this review thinking about their burrito right now. *rumble rumble* that was my tummy saying "bish, time to go back to chinollo". LOL. Tbh, I've always ordered for pickup, so I can't review what it's like inside, but their phone orders have always been easy peasy. Order flow should always be controlled. Aside from that, my salad did not contain the wonton crispies and there was no side of bread in the order. This is such a great find for Carson. My husband and I switched to better quality food some years ago and found eating out options to be severely lacking. The food here is very reasonably priced for what they are offering. I had the Baja bowl and my husband had the poke bowl. The chicken breast was tender, not overcooked. The chipotle sauce was nicely seasoned. Their corn is the star of the dish. It's roasted sweet corn. Because I love cooking, I appreciated seeing the signs of where it was cut off the cob. That's a sign of a little extra work to keep cost down for the consumer. It's roasted with onions and it tastes delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his mahi mahi tuna in his bowl. That says a lot about freshness because his sense of smell is extremely sensitive and if there was a hint of funk from bad storage he would have known. We also shared the Korean chicken tacos, delicious flavors. All in all, we throughly enjoyed our food. My parents were with us, they also commented on how delicious their food was and filling. This place doesn't skimp on portions, but it's not too much. We ate at around 2pm and weren't hungry again until about 8pm. NOT COVID FRIENDLY!!! Do not come here, they do not follow any protocol to prevent the spread of COVID-19!!! They don't have a pixie glass between the cashiers and public. They even allow people without masks to go into the restaurant and order. The cashier took my money and then turned around and packed the food with the same pair of gloves!!! Healthy and delicious with a variety to choose from, all at good prices with an option to dine in (patio seating available) or take out! Chinollo has a very modern feel inside. Although it's not super spacious, every time I've been here, finding dine-in seating has never been an issue. You can order in front or electronically on a tablet to the side. Their menu selection is pretty big and surprisingly diverse, while all sounding so good (also labeled accordingly as vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free). I've done the Green Burger with the salad twice now and am excited to try their other menu items!! Their white-balsamic vinaigrette for the salad is the best! the green burger falls apart too easily, but the fact that it tastes so good makes up for it! LOL Service is good! We were always greeted with smiles as soon as we walked in and the staff was always ready to answer any questions. There's not a long wait time at all, maybe 5-10 min. I LOVE Rabano in Hermosa so had to come and try Chinollo. Got there about 5:30pm and it was starting to pick up but the kitchen and the team in front had it under control. If you've been to Rabano during their peak times, you know what I mean! Got the Thai Chicken bowl and the Saltado Peruano (which is my go to dish at Rabano!) The Thai Chicken is delicious! Stopped in for dinner on my last night in the area. Wish I had stopped the first night, I would have come back a few times. The word "fresh" doesn't begin to describe the food. I had the mojo cubano sandwich and can say without a doubt it is one of the best sandwiches I've had (I'm 45). The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were so well layered I actually had to set my sandwich down, sit back and just take it in. The salad on the side was dressed perfectly and I can think of nothing that would have paired better. I'm generally a natural cut fry guy or house made chips but in this case, I wouldn't dare pass on the salad. So many things I wanted to try and I have no doubt they would have impressed as much as the cubano. If I'm back in the area, I'm going straight from LAX to Chinollo.
