my boyfriend and I found this place on yelp today. Best of both worlds. He's vegan and I'm not. Presentation was nice. Simple yet elegant. Customer service was decent. Helpful employees. They tried to answer our questions to the best of their abilities. The vegan burger was good. Maple sweet potato fries was deelish. The Korean tacos could be better though. There's nothing really Korean about it. The "kimchi" that they threw in there were just a few small specks here in there. I was a bit surprised they didn't put a lot of kimchi in their tacos. I assumed kimchi is cheap to make considering it's just cabbage and fermentation. If they didn't skimped on the kimchi and top it with more of it, it would look more like a kimchi taco.. or at least marinade the meat in that sauce or something. It was more of like a quick sprinkling kimchi pico de gallo.. not bad, but I'll probably give it another shot and try other things on the menu. My first time here I got the new world burger with truffle fries, DIVINE! Handmade patty and kept it's shape, totally forget what's in it, but I didn't miss any meat. Once I tried the pork banh mi I died and refuse to try anything else. Really good pork, you must be careful with pork friends, I'd prefer not to eat it unless its from here. I really really enjoyed this place. Again yelp ame to the rescue and found this new place not too far from me. I do say the vegan title threw me off but either way I was still going to give it a try. You can order yourself with the tablets off to the side or an employee can also take your order. The menu selection is on point. Good variety of different types of food. We have tried the fish tacos, burger and the pork with rice dish. I was able to taste the burger and was also told it was a really good burger! The fish tacos was rated as okay. Wasnt bad, just nothing made them exciting or stick out. The pork dish now I tried that and was blown away at how yummy this plate was. I love Chinollo. It's one of the few 'healthy' spots in the area where I work and it never disappoints. I discovered it about 18 months ago when first starting my new job and have been a repeat customer, even getting some of my workmates into it. The food is always fresh, the ingredients are really high quality and the service is really great. When indoor seating is open it can get really packed in here and there is a wait for tables, most of the time we order to go / delivery and the food travels really well too. My favorite here is the korean bowl with steak - half noodles, half greens. The tacos are also great - both the steak + tofu version, the salmon bowl, chicken bowl. The sandwiches are HUGE and the fries are also great. Honestly, it's all delicious, including the refreshers - I've never gone wrong with any of my orders here. read more

It was a good sandwich :), but it wasn't what I wanted. I would have returned to the restaurant, but since I live in SW Carson I wasn't willing to make that drive back. Well today I ordered 2 and there were almost no noodles in the bowl. Keeping in mind I always get this same thing when I go. Unless you're going to the game, don't come here the day of a Charger or Galaxy game. We did, but because of a combination of random timing, exactly zero planning on our part (i.e., just plain dumb luck), and the judicious use of a frontage road, we didn't get stuck in miles of traffic. My niece really likes this place, but she's sixteen, and although I trust her judgment in all kinds of ways that I don't trust most sixteen-year-olds' judgment, she can get a little hyperbolic when it comes to talking up restaurants (without annoying teen-girl uptalk, thankfully) that she likes and thinks I'll like. I do like it, so thanks, Ellie. She and my sister realized that it's the sister restaurant of someplace with a different name that's really close to their house. They confirmed that the menu is either identical or extremely similar. It's more comfortable to eat in than you think it's going to be. I hate this BS self-service ordering BS, and we didn't use it. The people who did use it seemed to be confused. I'll talk to an actual employee and keep another person employed, thank you. We did order from that actual employee, and she was very helpful and answered all my family's many questions. The cops are thick in the parking lot here during Charger games. I don't know whether they just wait here until the game ends and their traffic-directing assistance is needed, or they're lying in wait to ticket and tow people who park here and walk to the stadium, but I wouldn't risk the latter if I were you. I also wouldn't be going to a Charger game, but I should check out a Galaxy game at some point, if only to have fun in dear Brenda's memory. I can't believe it's been two years!
