I ordered online and scheduled to pick up my food at a certain time. This was super convenient and perfect cause I was too lazy to get dressed to go sit down and eat somewhere. Upon getting there, parking was easy to find. The place has a big visible sign so easy to spot. I got the thai curry bowl with Tofu and grains and OMGG!!! We have had food catered from here on several occasions and is quickly becoming the offices go to lunch spot. So great to have some healthy choices in Carson. Their Chinese chicken salad is so good and refreshing. Their street tacos are also a big hit in the office. Ordering has been easy and we haven't had any issues with missing items. I've been to Chinollo about 6 times since I live like a 5 minute walk from it. I am vegan and allergic to dairy and pork. I ordered the veggie soup and the Chinese chicken salad w/ tofu instead of chicken. They come with two sides of bread and I asked an employee AND a manager if they were vegan. The manager told me it was made with vegan butter. Great!? Wrong. I went home enjoyed my meal and started getting hives and getting super itchy and my stomach is super super bloated. I called and the banshee told me she asked and that's what she was told. She did not take the time to check the ingredients. They take allergies and dietary restrictions lightly. If I didn't have my meds I would have to go to the hospital. I went to the doctor another day and had to pay out of pocket for the mistakes of Chinollo. read more

I've been over the moon since discovering this little gem. They don't do any advertising yet rose to popularity due to word of mouth. You can expect a packed house on any given day but the quality of food never waivers. El Koreano -- Juicy slices of angus steak with your choice of white rice, ancient grains or salad, bok choy, pickled cucumber, kimchi and a dollop of gochujang (sweet spicy sauce). I typically get 1/2 white rice and 1/2 ancient grains but you can get switch up your bases. I love that you can get halfsies on two bases at no extra charge. Porkbelly Clincher -- Lemongrass marinated porkbelly with a sweet miso glaze, wilted spinach and Asian pickled slaw. The lemongrass flavor isn't overpowering so don't let that dissuade you from giving it a try. Truffle Fries -- The strong aroma of truffle always puts me in a trance. Before I know it, I'm down to my last handful and already on my way to order another. I've never been much of a fan for cheese but their Parmesan cheese shavings are just delightful. I'm so fortunate and grateful that this GEM of restaurant is literally next to my house. These types of places (the ones that are in the most obscure plazas - hole-in-the-walls, if you will) have wow'd me the most - not the commercial garbage you see poppin' up all over the place. Or even over the saturated hipster food scene in more urban areas. I'm hesitant in publishing this review because I'm a selfish queen and would LOVE to keep this place a secret, but alas - the people behind this business deserve more than that. They've figured out that there's a huge void of health food in this area. Carson isn't particularly affluent, but I'm just sick and tired of having to leave this area to find QUALITY food. I'm sure there's a large persuasion of residents like me who face this dilemma of making treks to places like Santa Monica or Costa Mesa or wherever just to find healthy organic, locally-sourced, vegan, keto options. But now we have Chinollo - which solves a bit of a crisis the community's faced for some time now. Everything I have tried so far has been nothing short of delicious. They have really mastered seasoning - it's kinda insane. Their sweet potato fries is bar none, the best fries I've had (and I'm not big on fries, mind you). The korean tacos with tofu has an explosive amount of flavor and texture - I def recommend if you're vegan. Oh, and DEF try their vegan burger (I forget what it's called) - but it's pretty substantial and satisfying. My personal favorite is the Sustainable Salmon bowl - which I have customized with half-portions of quinoa & brown rice (or ancient grains, as they call it) and greens. What really stands out is their hollandaise and pesto sauce - it's seriously the best thing ever. I usually eat like a bird (and my friends can vouch for this), but I've yet to NOT scarf this bowl down - which is a shame because it deserves to be savored. The best thing about this place this is the value it offers. Most of the food here is organic and locally-sourced, and I suppose they've subsidized the cost enough to drive prices to be really affordable for the community, perhaps due to low operating costs (low rent). There was also a lot of customers inside but a lot seemed like they were ordering to-go rather in dine-in so finding a table wasn't hard. When you walk in, there are tablets on the right side which I was very impressed to see! Customers can basically make their own orders on them and the images on each menu item helped a lot in seeing what I would be buying or would even need customizing. However these tablets are for card-purchases so if you only have cash, you'll need to order the traditional way on the register which an employee will help you with. || Customer Service || Customer service is probably the only con I have for this store but it's not a major concern. When my friend and I asked questions about the menu items, the employee working cashier seemed new or not thoroughly trained since she couldn't really explain the taste of things we asked about. Exemplary Menu and Service! We had a friend over from the North and decided to look for a good place for lunch. After hours of yelping different keyword searches, Yelp decided to do a "Recommendation" and this one popped up. The 5 star rating of over 120+ reviews made me look into it. It was filled to the T and ingredients were evenly divided, making every bite flavorful. My friends ordered The Green Burger and Thai Chicken. I didn't try the Green Burger, but my friend was completely satisfied. The sides were salad or fries and he got the fries, which I got to try myself. It was seasoned nicely and was very crispy. The portion was good and the burger too. Very good choice for "vegan" burger. I wasn't able to taste the Thai Chicken but I did get to taste the curry that came with it. Usually Thai Curries are too sweet, but this one was surprisingly sweet and tangy. Very awesome mixture of flavors. It was amazing as a dip for the fries from the Green Burger. The place has a very nice design and layout. The lighting are inviting and nice. The weather was gloomy so it was a nice lighting for sure indoors. The walls have nice artworks and design and their oversized menus are legible and easy to understand. The place is well-kept and clean. The music is perfectly volumed -- not too loud, not too soft. We came in and it was an immediate accepting aesthetic. They had a layout similar to most trendy Asian fusion places. The workers were pretty nice to us. We ordered the truffle fries and the El Koreano with steak, which is a dish similar to bibimbap with a little twist. It was basically what Bibigo would've tasted like it Bibigo had class LOL. I asked the staff what was in the raw greens got told "it is like a salad" really what is in it argula, spinach, kale?? Was told carrots and spinach (which took 3 people, to tell me that) I asked what was in the roasted Thai they said veggies - when I pressed I was told cauliflower and other vegetables. I am gluten free so was happy they had things labeled when I asked again about street taco was told yes it is gluten free. Korean taco not gluten free one was hot (spicy) the other one was cool (don't know what was difference between the two) Truffle fries where so heavy on truffle oil in one spot. Healthy food in Carson?! Finally! Walked in for lunch and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. We tried ordering on the self-service machines, but when some glitches occurred, the staff were quick to jump in and help. We got the Baja Bowl with tofu and Farm Veggies bowl with chicken. All of the veggies were incredibly fresh and had a great variety - sweet potatoes, green beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, red potatoes, and greens. The cashew chipotle sauce was rich and creamy, and I didn't even know the sauce was vegan. All of the food paired nicely with one of their black iced tea. The interior of the place is light, modern and airy. Tons of succulents and great decor. Finally! A place worth 5 stars in Carson. I dont give out 5 stars often, so check it out. It's a fresh, flavorful fusion spot that has a little of what we all love here in SoCal! It's a Asian Grill with style and throw ins from other cultures that really work! They have delicious bowls that come with a base of salad, rice or noodles and proteins done well. I had the Korean bowl which was cooked to perfection. My family had the Peruvian bowl, a Groovy Burger (farm fresh) and the California burrito (full of goodies). The steak was tender, the chicken was flavorful, the burger was super juicy and the Boba drinks were of unusually high quality. The boba balls were soft and yummy with a pleasant flavor. I drink a lot of Boba, so that means something. To top it all off, the owners were super friendly and the place looks great. It's exciting to have a spot like this in the South Bay. This will definitely be our go to. It's honestly hard to find places like this in our area. They tried to answer our questions to the best of their abilities. The vegan burger was good. Maple sweet potato fries was deelish. The Korean tacos could be better though. There's nothing really Korean about it. The "kimchi" that they threw in there were just a few small specks here in there. I was a bit surprised they didn't put a lot of kimchi in their tacos. I assumed kimchi is cheap to make considering it's just cabbage and fermentation. If they didn't skimped on the kimchi and top it with more of it, it would look more like a kimchi taco.. or at least marinade the meat in that sauce or something. It was more of like a quick sprinkling kimchi pico de gallo.. not bad, but I'll probably give it another shot and try other things on the menu. You can order yourself with the tablets off to the side or an employee can also take your order. The menu selection is on point. Good variety of different types of food. We have tried the fish tacos, burger and the pork with rice dish. I was able to taste the burger and was also told it was a really good burger! The fish tacos was rated as okay. Wasnt bad, just nothing made them exciting or stick out. The pork dish now I tried that and was blown away at how yummy this plate was.
