While staying at the Hampton Inn last night I was searching for something nearby that was healthy before a night of drinking and dancing. I called in an order for me and my friend. I got the Baja bowl with steak. Flavor was wonderful, but honestly only three small pieces of steak buried in the black beans, quinoa, rice, avocado, corn mix. More steak would of been nice. Very tasty though. My friend had the French fries which I snuck a few, flavorful and cooked to perfection! Her Korean chicken tacos were yummy as well. I typically order the Baja steak bowl with half greens and garlic noodles. I tend to get no black beans and extra corn cause the beans are too much and it makes the bowl a little too watery. The golden papitas are always delicious as they are perfectly crispy and seasoned! I would always recommend this place to my other coworkers or people stopping by our office and they have all loved it. Absolutely delicious even though they got my order wrong. :-) It was my first time going, but I live very close so I will definitely be back. It's the kind of place where the menu is so diverse that it's hard to decide what you want. I chose the Cuban pork bowl because I can't resist plantains. I asked for the "ancient grains" (brown rice, black rice, and quinoa) as the base, but they gave me the white rice instead. But that's not a big deal because the bowl was YUMMY. I took my food to go, but the furnishings and decor are simple and attractive. It would be a nice place to have lunch with a friend. UPDATED 11-21-18: I've eaten at Chinollo several times since I posted this review, and I have to come back and up my rating from 4 stars to 5. Everything I have had so far has been fabulous. I've had four of the bowls and one burger so far. All excellent. And something that I notice is missing from a lot of these Yelp reviews is mention of their beverages. The sodas are off the chain, handmade and very flavorful. (I LOVED their ginger ale, but it's powerful, so only order it if you actually like ginger.) I live very close by, so this is my go-to "treat myself" place. My goal is to work my way through all of their bowls. UPDATED 03-27-19: Mission accomplished! It took some months because my finances are tight, but I have now eaten every one of the Wonder Bowls at Chinollo. I had waited to try the Farm Veggies Bowl last because I thought the all-vegetable one would be the most boring. I was SO wrong! The veggie bowl is fabulous! There are a bunch of different vegetables (at least 10), and each vegetable is not only cooked separately to optimize its individual texture but also seasoned separately to have the best individual flavor. There was roasted squash and cauliflower, velvety smooth potatoes and yams, carrots cooked to be soft but not mushy, some sauteed greens and some raw greens -- yum! SUMMARY OF ALL THE WONDER BOWLS: Basically, they are all good. There are only two bowls that I would not order again myself, and that is only because of my personal predilections (I have never cared for curry or raw fish).
