Crispy chicken

Worst experience ever! I called to tell them and they said that's how it's suppose to be! Got potstickers which were burnt and awful had to throw away! The crispy chicken was so burnt and overcooked it couldn't be eaten! The orange chicken was just ketchup covered! Iv never had such bad Chinese food from people who don't care before! Won't ever eat there again!

Chicken chow mein with request no veggies.

I've been here twice in the past 24 hours. They have a nice chicken chow mein. It's our go to place when in NW Reno. We get take out since there are not really places to sit in. They also are super fast. Like 5-10m fast. Any places my kids routinely will eat certain things we will frequent, since they are super picky and eat very little. This place is also very generous with the servings. Which is nice as my 5th grade boys can eat a ton. Someday I'll order something different for myself.

Okay, this was a horrible experience. The good i have none the bad it was everything and the ugly was the restraunt inside stacked with napkins and plates and very disorganized and dirty looking. The food 100% tasted the same between the generals chicken, and sesame i could not tell the difference (besides how they looked). Most of the chicken was dryed out and left a large amount of batter some cooked and some ultra deep fried. The rice was dry, the chow mein was an upgrade and was also dry had crisp veggies was its only ok part.

Can't speak on the service or vibe of the place cause I ordered it on DoorDash, but good god is the food fantastic, especially for the price. I paid less than $20 for delivery, which includes tip and the taste of the sesame chicken, fried rice, and crab Rangoon is outstanding. For fast, cheap Chinese food this is absolutely the way to go. Out of the places I've had in Reno, this has gotta be the best.

Chicken Egg Foo Young Special

This tiny little take out was very unbelievably deceptive. The food was outstanding. When I picked up my order it was huge. It felt well over a pound! It was covered with a large amount of vegetables and chicken. There was enough for two people. The service was good and expedient.

This place is actually pretty tasty. I order a sweet and sour chicken w/ fried rice dinner, honey walnut shrimp, and some white rice. It came to about $27. The shrimp and rices were nicely cooked and tasted great. The chicken was a bit over cooked and chewy. I had some trouble finding the up to date menu anywhere. I called to place my order but was told to look online for the menu. So I just drove up. Order took about 8-10 minutes.

Not only has the food become more fine dining, but so has the dining room and the restaurant's popularity! It's virtually impossible to eat here without a reservation giving the small dining area and limited tables, and they are regularly well booked in advance, so it is very recommended to give them a call well in advance to make sure you have a table reserved before arriving hoping to be seated. My favorite dishes are the kung pao chicken and their pork fried rice, but they have several other popular dishes, especially their rangoons. The portions are large and entrees don't typically come with rice, so it is best to order dishes family style to be shared. I can't wait to return, I am excited to try their Mongolian beef next!

This place is good for families as dishes ars big and carefully prepared. I would wish to give them a 4 or 5 star but the problem I had is they have too extensive of a menu that dishes are either good or just a miss. The xo scallops are flavored right but are not seared and dont have the proper texture for a cooked scallop. The salted fish rice was ok but it wasnt so salty. The pluses are the cup sized soups are good price and really delicious. The garlic noodles are great as well, but if you have nothing to pair it with just as great then it is hard to eat. They have a lot of items on the menu but when youre a small party of 2 or 3 it is hard to choose what to order. The grilled oysters were great but too huge. The jellyfish was also good. Place is small for a family style setting but it works. It is clean and intimate. I would give them another chance if I have a larger party or guest visiting town so we can try the larger plates and expand the variety hoping to hit their best dishes

Decor is a bit overdone, but that seems to fit the vibe of anywhere with casinos, so can't blame them for trying to fit in. A bar dominates the view from the entrance, then ample tables of several sizes to the right. We filled the rear corner (two giant tables) and had mostly good food, although the sweet and sour chicken was forgettable. A fried squash (pumpkin?) was delectable, had some very good bean curd/mixed veggies, the Sichuan water fish did the job but was a bit short from the best I've had-- which to be fair is tough because there is so much Sichuan food everywhere these days. A second veggie dish with lotus root was also excellent, and the sweet and sour pork, while not memorable, was distinctly better than the sweet and sour chicken.

My fianceé told me about the Lemon chicken she tried for her first visit and how much she loved it! It's not her usual to to for the lunch specials, but she highly praises it. I am very happy to say that I do too now. The chicken was cooked perfectly and reminded me of chicken Katsu, light and crisp. It wasn't drenched in a gelatinous over lemony sauce either. Everything was light and refreshing, if you love lemon I suggest asking for a couple more wedges. I can't wait to have it again very soon. The entire time we were there which was about 45 minutes there were hardly any other customers for a Friday I thought it would be much more busy around lunch time. I do not believe this place deserves to be that slow on a Friday at all. I'm seriously going to be dreaming of more scallion pancakes with that sauce! The dining room and bathroom was very large and clean. Also, I really love the pictures of the food along the windows. Pictures are always very helpful. On our way out we picked up almond cookies for $2 per bag (sandwich bag ziplock). When I bit into it I was immediately transported to the Japanese tea garden in San Francisco. I have very fond childhood memories there. We always had almond cookies with our jasmine tea. Well done all! See ya on the next visit

We ordered the Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken, Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun, and Gai Lan with Beef. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. With "Hong Kong Diner" in the name, I was expecting authentic Cantonese stir-fries with good wok hei. Unfortunately, the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun lacked that signature smoky flavor, and the texture was closer to lo fun than traditional chow fun. The Gai Lan with Beef also lacked wok hei. The outer layer of the gai lan stems had been peeled away, so the stems lost the crisp texture that makes gai lan so enjoyable. The Vermicelli with Grilled Chicken was overly tender and quite salty. It seemed to be marinated so heavily that I couldn't really taste the natural flavor of the chicken. Overall, the restaurant offers generous portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service. I just wish the Cantonese dishes had delivered the wok hei I was expecting from a place with "Hong Kong Diner" in its name. :)
