One of the places we have been wanting to try, the Chinese Duck House is a solid choice for simple Chinese....and duck! One of our favorite dishes is Peking Duck, this isn't that. The Chinese Duck House serves Roast Duck. The duck was good, not dry or oily but also not amazing. It was good but not amazing. We started our meal with the Chicken and Corn Soup. One of my favorite soups, this was prepared perfectly. Smooth, flavorful and served hot, it was perfect. A great way to start our evening. We ordered the Fried Tofu. Now this was amazing. The Tofu, lighted breaded was cooked to perfection, with a slight crispness to the outside and silky smooth on the inside. So good. We also ordered the Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs. The seasoning was really delicious. The slices of pork was a little on the thicker side, which was nice but the meat was a bit on the dry side. Great flavor but a bit dry. We ordered the Beef Chow Fun with gravy. Everything was really good but the noodles seemed to stick together making them a bit bulky and a bit chewy in texture. If the noodles hadn't stuck together, I think the dish would have been much better. We ordered the garlic green beans, a special on the board. A wonderful taste of garlic and onion, the green beans were cooked perfectly. So good. If you want good, simple Chinese, the Chinese Duck House is a solid option. Stopped in to order a half roast duck as it was close to my hotel. The servers were friendly. I did not eat in the dining room but it looked cozy and clean. The duck was well packaged and remained crisp when I returned back to my room. It was flavorful and came with a duck sauce that reminds me of A-1 Steak Sauce in flavor. I was craving Chinese food and my monthly Uber Eats credit was about to expire, so I jumped on Uber Eats to see what was out there. I came across Chinese Duck House. I've heard of it before but never actually tried it, so I figured why not. Scrolling through the menu, I noticed they had a couple of buy one get one deals, which definitely caught my attention. I ended up ordering wontons as an appetizer and chicken fried rice, both part of the BOGO deal, plus an order of Mongolian beef. I placed the order and headed over for pickup. When I got there about 20 minutes later, everything was ready to go. It was quick and easy, in and out with no hassle. Once I got home, everyone dug in. Overall, the food was good. The wontons and the Mongolian beef were the standouts for sure. The fried rice was decent, but it felt a little bland compared to everything else. This isn't authentic Chinese food by any means. It's definitely more American-style Chinese takeout, but sometimes that's exactly what you're in the mood for. The buy one get one deals make it even more worth it. We always order the pork chow mein and pork fried rice. We love the paper wraps chicken, seasame chicken, and orange chicken. Great portion sizes! I went in for a carry out order. Their menu looks amazing with a lot of options. I ordered the beef and mushroom with BBQ pork chow mein. The beef didn't have any flavor. It wasn't seasoned at all. It was cooked properly, though. My husband had Kung Pao chicken. He said the chicken was dry and, even though it said spicy, he didn't get the spice he was looking for. They've not only raised prices substantially, they've made their portions noticeably smaller. My wife and I had the American-Chinese classics Kung pao chicken, chicken fried rice and pot stickers. These are dishes that Duck House mastered years ago. They've been ruined by inadequate portions, a switch to cheaper ingredients, shrinkflation and greedy owners. This has been my favorite place to visit for some quality Chinese food in town. Locally owned and in a good location this place brings a lot of good food. Went to the Chinese Duck House in search of congee but I didn't see it on their menu (maybe I missed it) so I ended up ordering their Wor Wonton soup to go, plus an order of chicken chow mein, some potstickers and a sweet-and-sour combination plate. My nephew said the sweet-and-sour plate was just alright but we both agreed the potstickers were good and I thoroughly enjoyed my Wor Wonton soup. The cashier lady was pretty nice and patient while I tried to decide what to order. We ordered a stir fried chicken with cabbage (you wrapped it with this flour made wrapper and a sweet sauce that tasted like hoisten sauce) and singaporean noodle -- they feel like we are eating street food -- usually street food in Singapore, Taiwan, or in some market in China tastes really good, however the food we had didn't taste bad, but not the best Asian food as well. Must have tried them on a bad day. The room is nice on the inside but almost looks abandoned on the outside. Very friendly service. Really awful food. I don't understand other reviewers raving about dried out, over salted duck. We had other take-out dishes as well that we literally threw away. It was prepared so quickly that we knew right away it was just frozen pre-cooked protein heated and covered in commercial sauce. Only the fresh cooked rice was actually good.
