My first time there, had heard it was pretty good. The egg flour soup was like a bowl of vegetable oil with eggs and frozen vegetables in it. I ordered a teriyaki chicken plate, had to throw out half of the chicken because they were either old or overcooked, couldn't even cut them. The sweet sour chicken plate was just okay. I also ordered an orange chicken plate, but when I got home, the chicken had nothing on it - no sauce, nothing, just little dry chicken nuggets. I don't know what happened to this place. We went a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. We went tonight and decided we would never go again. The BBQ pork was dry and chewy; the orange chicken was mostly breading, very little chicken, the chow mien was oily greasy, it was all very salty and I'm paying the price now (2 hours later) with mongo thirst and puffy hands. Well I'm gonna keep this short and sweet. This is my go to as far as fast Chinese food. Very clean, very good and flavorful. I've been to other places where everything just tasted the same. Aside from all they have to offer they also have a Mongolian bbq station. Again all meat and veggie choices look very fresh and clean. Now I'm a sucker for some bbq pork and this place is money when it comes to the pork. Also with purchase of a combo plate you get to choose between free egg roll or egg drop soup. I recently dined here for dinner. The food is somewhat bland however, the portions are generous. One item I was very disappointed with were the cream cheese wontons. The wontons were poorly folded with a very sad dollop of cream cheese. A few of my cream cheese wontons didn't even have cream cheese in them. The disappointing part is this is my SECOND time ordering them. Besides using frozen carrots and peas the orange chicken is by far the best I've had, just make sure you get it fresh. read more

Chin's is pretty good but I do not care for their orange chicken. Not only is it way too sweet (like a sweet dumpling), it's mostly breading with very little chicken inside. But other than the orange chicken, everything else was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. read more

Let's compare apples to apples here. Chin's is take out Chinese. It's not sit down, prepared as you order so don't try to compare to some of the very good sit down places in Orange and Anaheim Hills. It's by far THE BEST take out Chinese food in the area. The staff are very friendly and the portions are monsterous. The food is reliable and hardly ever overcooked. Their new location is big, with ample parking. I do advise against the drive thru, as the speaker quality is poor (needs a new sound system). Their new location does include Mongolian BBQ, which I have not yet tried. They also accept credit cards, which is great. I go almost every week. read more

I have been to countless Chinese combo #5 places, and this is just another one of them. Nothing in particular on their menu stood out to me. I ordered steam rice with teriyaki chicken and sweet and sour chicken. My first thoughts were that the sweet and sour chicken was completely cold when I received it. I guess they are strict on refilling their trays and have their mind set of making sure the existing items get completely served throughout the day. The teriyaki chicken was unhealthy fat brown meat chicken. Not the best you can have, but for the price I would say it at least deserves 2 stars. read more

I love Chin's!!! Been coming here since I was a kid (other location of course). Food is delicious and you get a Free egg roll or soup with each meal. I'm not sure why half of the reviews about this place are so horrible. I bet half of those people eat at McDonald's and Panda Express too. For a fast food Chinese place, the food is always fresh and hot. My husband and I eat here regularly, maybe twice a month. I could understand if this place was dine-in but its not. It is FAST FOOD. That being said, I like the black bean chicken and the broccoli and beef. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Meh. I wouldn't come back, and probably won't. The orange chicken was crunchy but too sweet. I know orange chicken is supposed to be sweet, but it's also supposed to be balanced a little with salt or and flavor. This just tasted like sugar. i used to come here when it first opened, and i worked down the street and it was good then. Not much has changed. it's still good, not really outstanding. just good. The family meal was good for us. Fed all 5 of us nicely. we got 2 extra sides( hubby has tto have extra spicey, so we get him that stuff on the side), and with the coupn we had the whole dinner came in under 30.00! Chin's Kitchen is a great place to fill up on a budget. The mongolian BBQ area is so good and you can really get a lot of food for $5 or $6 bucks. The Chinese food section is great too. Their portions are large and all taste delicious! I haven't had a dish I didn't like. Plus, you can drive through and get it in a rush! read more

Chin's Kitchen used to be soooooo yummy! When it was across the street in the smaller venue, and I am not sure why it has been going downhill. Last night, we ordered it to go and I got my usual Green Bean Chicken (still super yummy and green beans are good) and Orange Chicken. This is the 3rd time I have had the Orange Chicken and it has been all battery. Orange Chicken is a staple at Chin's and I am not sure if they changed the recipe or what happened. Literally 10 out of the 12 bites I took were ALL batter, NO chicken. Super disappointing. Green Bean Chicken and Chow Mein were still the best, but I hope they improve Broccoli Beef (someone else ordered) and the Orange Chicken ASAP. read more

Wow, This building has had some great food over the years. I miss the old El Conejo and the Taco Factory but wow, Chin's has stepped this place up a notch in moving here. The food was fresh, excellent tasting and best of all larger portions and less expensive than Panda. They even offer Mongolian and it's just a great and pleasant place to go. It's like 2.7 stars, so I rounded up. The logo is a straight up Panda Express knockoff, it's almost comical. We came here with another family expecting average and inexpensive Americanized Chinese food, and that is what we got. The building looks like it used to be a fast food restaurant with drive-thru, and the restrooms are accessed through the exterior of the building gas station style. The interior of the restaurant seems clean and the staff not rude. We had a coupon and got 4 two-item combo + 4 eggrolls/soup + 4 soft drinks for $20. They give you a lot of food, a lot of pretty greasy and heavily seasoned food. It's the kind of food that tastes pretty good while you are eating it, but it can also leave you feeling yucky afterwards. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. They have a wide selection of items but one can image that they ultimately all taste similar. read more

This is a good place if you are looking for decent "Americanized" Chinese fast food at a good price. The place is clean and I have always had good service here. I like their spicy chicken ( love the baby corn they put in it) and the broccoli beef. Most of the entree selections I have had were good except the orange chicken. Since this is a staple of most Americanized Chinese fast food establishments I found it to be kind if disappointing because it was heavy on the crispy orange "breading" and not much chicken inside. I gave it more than one chance though ( thinking maybe it was just a bad orange chicken day the first time around) and both times it was the same.
