Came here because they have drive through and I was not trying to get out of my car one day so I gave them a try. Food is about sub par with any hole in the wall Chinese restaurant you'll find pretty much any where. Now some hole in the walls are amazing but not this one. Chicken was heavily breaded, with very little flavor. The chow mien was also very flavorless and had some weird veggies in it that did not really taste like veggies. Overall if your looking for a quick cheap Chinese food experience then this is a decent place to stop in. Service was pretty good and friendly so they have that going for them. read more

This is good old, cheap, quick, MSG-filled, take-out $6 Chinese Food. I can get me and my wife out for around $13 bucks with a soda, and we leave stuffed. I have been eating here since they were in the little restaurant next to O'Reilly Auto Parts on Tustin and Collins. (10+ years). Their new location is really nice and clean, you'd never think it belonged to a lower cost chinese food restaurant. The orange chicken is my favorite. Runner-ups would be BBQ Pork and Beef & Broccoli. The fried rice and the chow mein noodles are good too. I'm a big fan of the hot and sour soup. If you are sensitive to MSG or sodium, I'd probably avoid eating here lol. I am 27 years old, and even I feel like I am going to go straight to sleep when I sit down in my car after walking out of this place. I like the taste of Panda Express's menu items better (I got the orange chicken and BBQ pork combo) but the portion sizes here are much larger! And the food isn't that bad. I got the combo b through the drive thru and for the price, I feel like it's a good deal (includes an egg roll). I am writing this review because I have been dining at Chin's for many years at both their old location next to Albertsons as well as their current location. Tonight was the second time in a row where I felt compelled to throw away my whole dinner due to poor food quality. I went with my family and ordered a three item with half/half. The Orange Chicken tasted rancid. The Kung Pao Chicken tasted bad as did the BBQ pork. The Egg Flower soup was Luke warm and when serving egg rolls for my wife the server dropped on into the egg flower soup and left it sit in there and then served my soup up and continued to let the egg roll flout in the soup. The portions are big. The prices are reasonable. But the food quality and flavor have seriously diminished in the recent months. Apparently the food handling practices are lacking too based on the issue I observed with the soup both with the cross contamination and food temperature. Believe me, I want Chin's to return to excellence and I want to continue being a fan, but until I see their Yelp rating return to at least three stars, I won't be dining there again. We have eaten there several times at their new location. Thought for a fast food place was really very very good. Plenty of food and hot and reasonably priced. I had the Mongolian beef menu one time and that, too, was delicious. So glad to see a restaurant like this doing well. Not happy with this place. It used to be so good when they were off collins and tustin. Their service went down. They have girls there who have huge fake nails. How are you supposed to handle food with those long things? We spent $47 and wish we didnt. I called and spoke to a girl after we picked up our family dinner. The fried rice has no egg, no taste, barely any veggies. The noodles have no taste and have gone down in quality. The orange chicken isnt even chicken just a bunch of sauce with a bunch of hard crunchy pieces you cant really chew. I called multiple times and they said only the manager vero can do a refund. I called again and they say they dont have a vero there just a veronica. The young girls are rude and are so quick to hang up the phone. I called again and the lady vero said to bring in receipt and she leaves at 4pm.i went in at 330pm and she was gone for the day. I feel I'm getting a run around and not being properly taken care of. What happened to customer service? Also I asked for the owner Alex and they say hes never there. I called again and the young girl said don't think we can refund you because it's been longer than a week. That's not my fault. It's a typical Chinese fast food spot. Hit or miss what you get. For a while there I wasn't getting the right items in my food, so be sure to check before you leave. I thought this place was pretty good and cheap. The food has a more authentic asian taste which caters to my asian palette. The chow mein noodles are very flavorful and much much better than Pandas. The fried rice is much better as well as I hate Pandas fried rice. The orange chicken is not bad but probably best to get it when they just make it. The pepper beef is good too. Definitely worth trying out. A two item combo with eggroll or soup is about 5.96. The hot and sour soup was only thing that had some flavor but skimpy on ingredients. I don't recommend the weak flavored thai tea boba. The pearls were stuck together some not completely cooked. I went in around 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon to get some quick takeout Chinese. I was a little worried that the food was going to be old since I was going in at an off peak hour. To my surprise, the food looked fresh. I ordered a 3 item combination for around $8. I got half noodles and half fried rice with the following items: - Kung pay chicken - chicken and string beans - bbq roasted pork The 3 item also came with an egg roll or soup. The fried rice was standard fare, nothing great about it and generally plain. The noodles were seasoned nicely and tasty. The Kung pay chicken was not spicy, too saucy (should be a little drier), not enough peanuts and celery and had a bland taste. The chicken and string beans was also very bland. The bbq roasted Pork was excellent. The bbq roasted Pork pretty much tastes the same anywhere you go. The egg roll they serve is meatless so it also tastes plain. They also had a Mongolian bbq setup but I did not try that. The customer service was OK. Not great like a Chick-fil-A but not terrible and mean like some Chinese restaurants. The facility is spacious and clean, but the food is just average in taste. The best way to describe it is bland fast food Chinese. I may be harsh and it is probably due to me being Chinese and usually going to authentic places. In this case I just wanted something cheap with a little variety. Was driving down the street and immediately had to pull in to a CHINESE FOOD DRIVE-THRU!!! Chin's kitchen has really fast service. They give big portions for a low cost, with your entrée you get to pick an egg roll (very yummy) or the soup (did not try). The chow mein is on point, I like that it is more noodles than the add ins. Chow mein was decent. Their portions are very big. If I had to choose, I would rather pay extra and go to Panda Express down the street. Their flavor is better than Chin's. They are my roommates go to for hangover chinese food so I decided to try them out this weekend. I tried their Mongolian bbq, not their Chinese so I cannot speak on that. But the Mongolian bbq as a little disappointing. They were out of pineapple and didn't have water chestnuts which are my favorite Mongolian bbq components. They also didn't have sesame seeds which are also a classic topping. They also only have two sauce options: a spicy one and garlic. All of the other classic Mongolian bbq options were there and the noodles were pretty tasty. This is your typical Chinese Food restaurant where you can purchase 1, 2 or 3 items with fried-rice or chow mein. I did not think that this place was particularly good based on the following: 1. Service is terrible. The younger Hispanic girls working behind the counter are not very friendly. They look like unhappy teenagers that are unhappy and bored. If you want to act that way, do not work in the service industry. 2. Food quality: Having been there several times, I have tasted most of what they have to offer. I do not like to give bad reviews, but the service was too awful to not say something. Food: always great at Chin's. We walked in with 3 people working behind the counter and a line of 2 people in front of us. They were doing to already prepared food and we were doing the Mongolian bbq. We didn't know if we had to be in the line since we were doing to Mongolian bbq where we have to prepare our food. By the time we were even acknowledged, 2 more people went in line. The 3 workers took 15mins to even serve the other customers, knowing we were waiting for the Mongolian bbq. By the time we ordered and got our food, we had been waiting 30mins.
