Just moved here to Tracy from the Bay Area, where we used to order Chili's every week through Door Dash...obviously we love the food or we wouldn't have kept ordering! First time ordering from this Chili's, we waited for over an hour and THEN were informed that our order was cancelled by the restaurant. Just like that. Good service, good food but remember its a chain. Had saying that, I enjoy eating here. I love the jumbo soft pretzels. They are served with a cheese sauce. Chipotle chicken crispers, smokehouse burger and any of the ribs are great. The chips and salsa with a margarita are awesome. Chili's is easily our favourite chain restaurant in Tracy. We've always gotten great service, even shortly after they opened when they were super-busy. Once we sat in the bar to get a table in a reasonable time, and in fact the service there was even more attentive than normal. I like the Strawberry Lemonade to drink. We've gone there after I've been working on the house, and I'll just keep putting them down, but the servers are very good about keeping my glass full. I usually have one of their signature dishes, like this evening I had the Firecracker Tilapia, which I quite like. My wife likes the burgers, even if she always makes so many changes that something inevitably needs to be fixed when it comes out. I think what we really like best about Chili's is that we and our friends always feel like we have choices on the menu. There are a lot of chain restaurants where one member of the group can only find a single item on the menu they want to eat, but we've never had that problem at Chili's. The servers we've had are usually extremely friendly, and quite cute (please stand by while the reviewer is beaten by his loving wife), and the service is normally just the right pace, such that you aren't waiting wondering if your food's ever going to come out, yet not rushed like they just want to run people through as fast as possible. It's a comfortable dining experience. I think the prices are quite reasonable for what you get as well. Overall, four stars for great casual dining. read more

HORRIBLE! Ordered about two weeks ago to go and.. half my order was missing. Called to complain and the manager offered me coupons which were never mailed to me! Ordered again today for Father's Day as my dad loves chili's, however his chicken was rubbery and he only got 1 little sliver of chicken when you are supposed to get three for the margarita grilled chicken. We rarely want to eat here. Only reason we do is because sometimes we get really tired of Applebee's. The service at the bar booth was poor. Our waitress I'm not sure her name, was very rude. When someone asks if it's happy hour, it's probably way nicer if you say no and then let us know when it starts.. Anyways, I ordered the mango tilapia and asked for the sauce on the side. Driving through on the way home, and we needed some dinner. We decided to give this Chilli's a try. I always love myself a Buffalo Chicken Salad. Hubby went for a burger. The salad was more incredible than ever! The burger was exceptional I was told. They did a beautiful job putting everything together and I have to say...this location is much better than our local Chilli's. I should clarify. The food is better here. What is with this place.? The last three visits we never saw the server after our food was delivered. Three times we had to ask someone else to get us our check. The machine they brought would not allow us to split the check by item. They claimed to busy but there were empty tables everywhere. UGGGH not going back for a long while. read more

I don't usually do big corporate chains, but when I do, I prefer Chili's. The food is consistent (it should be) and we have never had an issue with the service. The staff even sang Happy Birthday to our little one. That was a nice touch. We will never come often, but we will return. read more

We've been here twice since it opened and each time was a disappointment. The second visit was a mistake that we refuse to make again! The steaks are either overcooked or undercooked. Plus, there are just not that many other choices in Tracy! The only reason I'm writing this review is because when I was just there a couple of weeks ago, they had changed their menu...and not for the good! I have never really been a fan of Chili's, but I had finally found something on their menu that I halfway liked....their chicken club tacos....and now they are gone! When I first moved to Tracy this was a great establishment. After their two remodels the food slowly started to decline. The last time I went in there I ordered the guacamole burger with a turkey Patty and onion rings, my burger was dry the vegetables on it were sparse and my onion rings were hard as rocks and burnt. the only good thing about this restaurant was the chips and salsa but I'm not very picky about those types of things. Went to dinner here with the family on Saturday afternoon about 6pm. We were seated right away and our waiter came quickly for our drinks. The kids(11&12) took advantage of the 3 for $10 menu and it included a drink, starter, and entree. A great deal especially for them. Husband ordered the steak and it was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. I had the chili and salad combo. The chili was not my favorite and it left me wishing I had ordered soup. Our waiter was kind and took care of everything we needed quickly. Drinks were refilled before we went completely empty as well as our bottomless tortilla chips. So maybe 2 1/2 stars... We came here for dinner the other night. We weren't expecting much from a chain restaurant with young kids working the tables and front door. We ordered some burgers. Two of the three were over cooked. The cheese was hard on one of them. It tells me the food was sitting out for a while. The fries were really good. The beers were cold. the service was ok. I find myself at Chili's more often than I would imagine. I just love the menu and what it has to offer! Their chicken fajitas are so tasteful and appetizing. I usually lean towards fajitas when I'm out and about and I've never been more satisfied with fajitas than I have been at Chili's. Their sides for this particular entrée are so adding to the meal. Went to dine-in at Tracy this afternoon. The restaurant was uncomfortably warm - felt about 80 in there. Our server said she is prohibited from touching the thermostat and we asked to be moved to a cooler place. She said all the tables were pretty much the same temp. I've had some bad experiences in the last but I have to give credit where it is due. We had great service in the bar area. The food was excellent! I'm feeling a like things may be looking up at Chili's. PLEASE keep it up Chili's. I've been eating at Chili's since I went to Georgia on a business trip. First time I'd ever had Fajitas and they were awesome! Then they opened one in my home town of Fremont years later. I was so excited! And the food was great and the hubby and kids loved it! You would think with the shelter-in-Place a restaurant would at least do a good job. I received a CHILIES email saying free delivery with an entree but a "3 for $10" can't be on receipt. We have 12 plates to order but 3 are "3 for $10. Anthony the manager said we can get the 7 items delivered FREE (or at least 1) and come pick up the remaining 3 meals which are the 3 for $10 !?!?!?!?!! I still placed the order and am picking up all of it myself. When this corona passes I will NOT go to chilies again. Too many issues too many times. read more

i have given up on the sizzling fajitas because they are never sizzling. If you take them home and warm it up the monterey chicken ones are great. I love the big mouth bites these are the tastiest sliders i have ever tasted. The salad is a dissapointment never seems fresh. I would suggest getting appetizers. read more

REVISED REVIEW I wrote a prior review on 5-19-16 about this Chilis location (Tracy, Ca) and the horrible experience we had there. We decided to give them another chance tonight on Tuesday 7-12-16. I'm happy to say every thing had much improved in all areas. First of all the food amazingly good and very reasonably priced for the amount served and the great quality taste. Goes with out saying and I think most would agree Chilis has fantastic food. It was only the bad service we got that night that was where we felt Chilis needed to improve upon and this time they really made that improving. Smiling hostess greeted us then sat us. Or she was a waitress filling in as hostess. Either way she was warm welcoming. Our waitress was, and I hope I spell her name correctly, Shyrell? She was really on top of her game. Fast, friendly and very informative about the menu. Seems like she loves the food there as much as we do. My husband made sure she knew what a great job she did when he left her tip. We had chips salsa and spinach and keso dip first then I had the chicken enchaladas and my husband had the Mex pairing platter all the food was sooooo good! And black berry ice tea to drink. OMG! That tea is out of this world yummy on a hot summer evening like this one. We ended up taking home our left overs which are enough for us to eat for lunch tomorrow. We were paid a visit at the table by one of the managers. Very nice young man who has only been there 4 days but was very professional and caring about how we felt about our dining experience. So all in all, we gave Chilis in Tracy Ca another chance and we are glad we did because if the service and food will continue to be as it was tonight we will be dining there often after this. Last night we ordered dinner for pick up. Online said it would be ready between 6:44 and 6:49. I pulled up at 6:44 and the nicest young man came up before I could even "check in". He asked my last name, went back in and came out shortly after with our full order. Not only was it fast and very organized, he was super personable, pleasant on a busy, hot evening and even complimented me on my Wu-tang shirt. I wish I had gotten his name, so I could call and tell his manager what an awesome job he was doing. As I pulled out, he approached the car next to me, recognized the driver and told her how nice it was to see her again. So rave, not only for the restaurant & our delicious dinner, but for the young man, his parents definitely raised him right. read more

I am part of a large group that frequents this particular location. We come here on average, about 1-2 times per month. We number anywhere between 10-30 people each time. Last Sunday, there were at least 25 of us and we noticed that service was very fast and there were no mistakes with our orders. Chips were served while we were waiting (without asking), and the servers and managers were attentive. I'd like to compliment our servers, Lizette Zaragoza, Kayla, the manager on duty Pedro Medrano for a job well done. To the managing partner, Justin Chandley, we are seeing improvement, keep it up. Finally, to Dale Bullotta, Chili's VP of Operations, who happened to be there for the day and was helping serve us, thank you. We will definitely continue coming back for more. read more

Much improved! The new decor is more open. Lots of TV's now so you don't have to sit in the bar to see the game. The new menu is great! Lot's more stuff, along with the old stand by's. Terrible service, food is usually cold. Half the time your order is wrong. The waiters and waitresses are only nice to the "friends" they have that are regulars. I've been coming to this restaurant since they opened one in town sometime with the big group or just with my family. Last Saturday (8/13/2022) was really a bad experience. My family (party of 5) got sat at our table after waiting for 20 mins. We waited for a server to come and take our orders but unfortunately no one comes after waiting for at least an hour. I noticed too that there was a table with a party 8 just got sat and server came after waiting for 5 mins. So i said there is something wrong here then I heard the party sat behind us that they been waiting for food for an hour and was talking to the manager in trainee that if possible if they can expedite their kids food. Then in another table beside us one of the customer did not get her food and the manager offered her a different food and removed it from their bill. So really there is something messed up. We decided to just leave and tell the host that we are leaving. Lately we been noticing this kind bad scenario in this restaurant. Sorry but I will probably scratch out this restaurant. Tracy is a small town and not a whole lot of restaurant around. Hope that it will get better in the future. read more

I'm saying goodbye to Chili's Tracy, today was the worst ever. A little girl probably age 6 or 7 or so sat next to me in a stool at the bar, her father I'm assuming sat next to her on the opposite side. I had no idea kids were allowed at the bar. I should have called the police to report an adult is drinking with a minor at the bar here at Chilis. The child started playing with the coasters tossing them around so I moved to a table. The man ordered more drinks as the girl played at the bar. I'm sure it's policy because different shirts came behind bar and seen this I'm sure. If I wanted to drink with kids I'd go to Chuck E. They've definitely improved in service and food preparation within a years time. My previous reviews were very harsh and that's not indicative to the bar seating side of the restaurant and in general, the entire restaurant today. There's been two very good waitresses/servers who have been there for awhile and when my wife and I eat on the bar side of the restaurant we have always had great service with them serving us. Now that we are no longer in Tracy, we'll miss their great service. But I just wanted to update this review and say that Chili's on any given night now, will give you great service and food. read more

While I try not to eat at chain restaurants too much I went here because I came into town hungry after 10pm and their kitchen is open until 11pm which you won't find at non chain restaurants. We were acknowledged, and seated at the table we requested even though it was in a "closed" area. Host was friendly and so was our server. I was very pleasantly surprised by their new menu and updated look inside. We were late and seated in a closed area so did not try the on-table kiosk thing they have. It really seemed that chillies is trying to stay up to date and relevant. And succeeding. The menu had some healthier choices, the prices were not outrageous and the beers where in huge chilled glasses. After eating at quaint local independent restaurants for a week on our road trip I am sad to say that our chillies experience was the best of the road trip all round.
