This was a horrible place to eat! My food had a hair in the guacamole. Not surprised though because the girls hair was sticking out all over the place that brought it to me. Scene: South Haven, MS. Five tired business travelers walk into this very Chili's at 7:30pm. Less than half the tables are occupied. After a minute at the host stand we're finally "greeted" by a disoriented girl who appears to be under 20. She's confused and more than a little uncertain on how to engage us. After a few seconds of panic she is finally able to ask us how many in our party. "Five" we answer, eager to eat quickly so we can return to our hotel and capture a few Zs before we depart at 4:45 for an early flight. She pauses, looks around, continuing to appear distrissingly confused. "That'll be a 15-20 minute wait" is her response. I received my delivery order and was missing a part of it. I then called to inform he restaurant and was told "what do you want me to do about it". Come to find out that it was the manager that said this on 3/22/23 @7:32 pm. The service is port and the management needs to be replaced.... Horrible experience at Chilis in Southaven. We were barely greeted by the hostess, who appeared to want to be ANYWHERE except work, and it reflected in her attitude. Once she seated us, we sat there.....and sat there. We were never greeted by a server. As a matter of fact, we did not even SEE any servers walking around. We are here on a Sunday evening. Arrived about 6pm. 30-45 min wait. Took an hour and 15 mins to get in. Only 5 tables seated in the whole place. Took 25 more just to get to order drinks. Which only happened because I stopped the waitress walking right past us. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would. I counted 10 consecutive tables and booths with no one in them. There is COVID limitations and then there is just a horribly run restaurant. This is the latter. I know the difference. We have good friends who wait tables. They could've run every seated table in this place by themselves. We only came because my daughter likes the menu but our last 4 trips here have been exactly the same. And every time I regret it. My family and I had an unpleasant experience at Chili's in Southaven on yesterday. My sister asked the GM for her manager's contact info and was told to google it. Sooooooo, guess what I did? I googled Chili's and found Brinker International. Brinker International owns, operates, and franchises the Chili's Grill & Bar and Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant. I sent several emails detailing the events to everyone except the GM at the Southaven location. I emailed the media office, payroll and the engagement office, to name a few. Terrible service , girl was more interested in hanging out with her friends at another table while playing on her phone.. took almost 1 hour to get drinks . Another 45 minutes for food . Which was great btw. Some food was forgotten and decline to take home after waiting another 35 minutes and asking 3 times for a to go box and checks. First off, don't forget your crayons, you will need them to pass the time while you are ignored. Then an emergency server shows up "just to get your drinks, WTF is an emergency server. I was with a group of teens (33 of us in total) that showed up at almost 9pm on the 4th of July, and we were welcomed by all the staff... they pushed a bunch of tables together, and were incredibly helpful and kind to our group! I watched her seat someone else and then she went to the bar chatting up to guys at the bar so I went and ask her about the drink she was supposed to be bringing right back and she said I'll get it and turned back around and snickered and kept chatting with the two guys at the bar. I just got my order and it wasn't even warm and they were going to make me some fresh chicken strips and it took about 2 minutes and I know they just dropped them back in the grease because they were very greasy and the chips and salsa was not fresh . First, I expect the food at a chain to have a consistency. The salsa had a very strange taste. Something I couldn't figure out. When I received my fajitas, I honestly thought it was a lunch portion. The only reason I was sure it was a dinner portion was the time of night I was eating and the huge mound of onions. Not bell pepper and onions. This Chili's has been up and down for quite a while now. I used to REALLY love coming here, and I still do enjoy it, just not as much as I did a few years ago. I feel like it's an atmosphere issue- it hasn't been very clean the past few times (almost slipped and fell due to slick floors), and none of the staff seemed happy to be there, which I think translated into unhappy patrons. I still enjoyed the food the past few times, for the most part. My go-to item is the honey chipotle chicken crispers. The sauce is absolutely amazing. Over the years, the portions on the chicken have gotten slimmer, but still decent for the price. This most recent time, my broccoli was covered in salt in pepper, which I strongly dislike, but hey, I lived. I ordered the two-for-one margaritas, also, which was a bad idea. The service was outstanding. The young lady was very attentive to everyone at the bar. She was friendly and made little jokes and that's very important to make costumers feel welcome. The food tonight was pretty much perfect. The burger was juicy, the bun soft, and condiments were fresh. The chicken quesadilla was crunchy and definitely not stingy with the chicken. Would not recommend not even a little. Me and my boyfriend went in but were told there was a 15-20 minute wait. The host got our number and name. We waited in our car for almost 30 until I finally told my boyfriend to just go in and check. Not to mention, the whole time we were waiting, there were a lot of people walking in and not coming back out, so we started to figure something was up. My husband and I attempted to take our 3 year old autistic son to Chili's tonight in Southaven because he absolutely loves it and was so excited. We were refused service because he wasn't wearing a mask. Even after we explained he was 3 and autistic the lady VERY rudely stated he wasn't allowed service or to be in the building.
