    Chips & Salsa

Went to Chilis for apps on Halloween . Typically I get the potato soup which is 10/10!! There was probably a total of 10 people when I went , and may I say the service was nothing short of average ... ambiance was lackluster. My table was wet and we had 0 napkins or straws . The chips were very stale and broken .Salsa was fine , Queso was 5/10, guacamole was absolutely not good. There is no flavor whatsoever . Needs lime and a lot of salt ......It tasted like plain old avocado . When our waitress came back finally she said we could pay on our tablet and never came back . The majority of our food was left and wasn't asked if we needed a box which was odd. It's a shame because I do like to go to Chilis& I don't really want to go back.. I was excited to spend my Halloween eating at chili's and I am disappointed Considering the absence of people I would have liked a dry table , offering of boxes , straws ,and FLAVOR sorry Chilis but tonight gets a 3/10 for me

Probably the best thing they have

I really don't like the idea of just coming on here and telling you guys something that you already know. But I have to get this off my chest. Chili's sucks. We all know it, we're just here to come together as a community and shit on my local Chili's for entertainment. I come here on two occasions.... veterans day so that I can get my free cheeseburger. And when everything else is closed and I want to sit at a bar and eat without a crowd. Chili's food tastes like leftovers, before they are leftovers.

Nothing much as really changed for the chain except that COVID is a thing. The staff wear masks, but not gloves. I'm super glad the $5 margaritas are back. Haven't been here for awhile, but there's combos like Ribs with fries and a corn cob now. Love the ribs, but was expecting the corn to look similar to the picture.

The manager told me that they had thrown out my order because it had gotten soggy and that they were making me a new order as fast as possible.

At 2pm the restaurant seemed lively even at less than half capacity. I got seated, placed an order, and received my food within 5 minutes. The complimentary chips and salsa seemed decent. Light, not too oily or salty, but held up to the salsa. The salsa itself had a hint of herbal. A bit sweet for my taste but that's a personal nitpick. My order was the lunch special version of the Pollo Sinaloa ($14.99) - half a chicken breast marinated and grilled with zucchini, mushrooms, onion, and peppers served with rice, beans, and 2 flour tortillas. The chicken was in the form of a thin cutlet and a bit small. However, the overall portion proved quite filling. Rice, beans, and grilled vegetables all tasted like, well, rice beans and grilled vegetables. WYSIWYG Service was cordial and pleasant. My server had some extra energy and pep that seemed genuine. Overall, this was the prototypical Mexican-American restaurant experience. Food aside, it had the decorative plates, stylized interior, and Spanish music playing.

Nothing fresh on the plate, generally unappetizing. Ambiance is festive and staff were mildly attentive. I get the sense people come for margaritas and Happy Hour more than the food. Overall it was just 'fine' and nothing to write home about. I've had MUCH better Mexican, this is on the bottom of my list.

Yes, the food was great but what we really appreciated and were surprised by was the owner, Edith. Whatever the level of success she desires to achieve, she will accomplish. Edith was working just as hard as any other employee of her establishment- if not, harder! I enjoyed reading her story on the back of the menu. You can tell, this is in her blood. What was even more of a surprise is that she and her family lived in Anaheim, CA for nearly 30 years before taking a chance to move to New Hampshire. Lo and behold, we're from Anaheim too! That was a pleasant surprise! The food and drinks were amazing! I'll definitely return. I had the Cancun plate with a corona-rita and my husband had the fajita nachos. Their salsa had a good kick! Coming from California, this is pretty good, authentic Hispanic food. We truly loved it. I hate my little belly didn't have room for dessert but we'll be returning again. I wish many blessings to Edith and dream for her to expand as far as her mind can see... She deserves it! Excellent food, excellent service! Thank you!
