I liked this place a lot but my most recent order was a disaster. They go to the trouble of using boxes with openings to let the steam out of the crispy food (chicken, fries, onion rings). THEN they wrap the food up tight in A PLASTIC BAG! THE STEAM FROM THE FOOD TURNED ALL THE CRISPY FOOD INTO SOMETHING THAT TASTED LIKE A WET SPONGE. IT WAS AWFUL. The fries and rings were soaked. Oh my god.....the best fried chicken/chicken tenders I've had in a long time. The chicken is FRESH, so crispy but juicy, flavorful and nice and HOT. You ever been somewhere and the food is so good it just makes you mad lol - the fries are amazing g, the coleslaw and even their sauces.....just wow. My partner and I were speechless lol. Decent staff but orders are always wrong. The new owners bought it, slapped lipstick in a pig, gouged prices and never get the order right.

I was hesitant to try, due to some of the negative reviews and how I remembered the restaurant being so rundown and dirty before the fire. I was pleasantly surprised at how new and clean it was inside. Friendly staff and the OG chick stick meal was better than I remembered. The chicken was excellent and the jojo's were even better than before. If I did have one complaint, it would be that I didn't like the coleslaw (hopefully they find a better recipe). Sorry for the bad news but this reincarnation of chicken and chips is not good at all. THESE STIX USED TO BE A NASHUA AREA ICON. The chicken seems to be brined in salt water. I say this as the saltiness seems to come from the chicken and not the coating which is barely existent. My brother used to work there like 40 years ago, and I have eaten there for decades. I sent him a pic of what I got last night. He saw many a CHIX STIX come out of that old pressure cooker. LOOKS NOTHING LIKE WHAT HE SAW. To be honest it hasn't been all that great since the Asian owners bought it and closed it many many years ago. Since then it's been an owner or 2 not sure maybe more. The chick sticks look and taste NOTHING LIKE THEY USED TO. The previous owner I believe took the "original" recipe to Merrimack, which is still not the same as original. The times I had it when they owned it always seemed dry and over cooked... The JOS were also a big swing and a miss they are barely coated and seasoned. Not sure what these owners are trying to do but CHIK STIX SWITCHEROO WONT DO!!! It also appears they aren't using a pressure cooker and just deep frying them. I wish I could love this place like I did in its hey day but the sticks although very fresh and cooked perfectly they just don't taste good. TOO BAD need to have a SEANCE with the original owner to ask him what he did and how he did it. read more

It's back and better than ever. Bone in was tender and juicy while crispy on the outside, Joe-joes were perfectly cooked. Portion size was large and price was reasonable. New everything inside. The tenders are as good as the Puritan in Manchester. Happy to have a solid fried chicken option in Nashua once again. read more

Did a dine-in at the "new" Chicken N Chips, and it was spot-on all the way. The signature 3 piece bone-in chicken was perfectly done. Generous-sized breast,thigh and wing,with cole slaw and delicious French fries, served on the side. My companion had the 2 piece with Jo- jo potatoes that were delicious as well. Order at the counter and the food will be delivered to your table. The new owner was very congenial, and the place is clean and comfortable. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. read more

After several trips here, I have finally come to enjoy the chicken fingers. This is one of the few places in the Manchester/Nashua area to get decent chicken fingers to go. These could use a bit more seasoning...and, thus, flavor...but...all in all, they are not too bad...and have a reasonable price as well. Consider Chicken'n Chips in the category of fast food restaurants - thus I'm scoring it in this relative genre. The restaurant itself probably deserves only three stars, but they are getting 4 for their environmental activism. More on that later. I've never actually had any of their chicken since I'm an ovo-lacto-pesce vegetarian, but their fish nuggets are really quite good (actual fish!), and they have great tartar sauce. The fries suffer, somewhat, usually being a little dry and somewhat overcooked. My biggest complaint is that the restaurant is perpetually cold and it is uncomfortable to stay there long enough to eat a meal, and that's after getting over the somewhat bleak and dumpy atmosphere. They also lose points for not having fountain soda - instead it comes in canned form. But consider this place and break out of the standard fast food trifecta with something a little bit different, definitely local, and whose owners wholeheartedly support biodiesel as an energy source, having converted their delivery VW Bugs over to running on fryolater grease. Big kudos for social responsibility! This restaurant deserves your business. Just get it to go. read more

Awful! I think they use old rancid oils. Gravy was runny, the mashed potatoes were hard and the coleslaw wasn't fresh! The staff is less than friendly and slow. Watch them closely because after I left they added a $2 tip to my bill. read more

I ordered the tender pack a few weeks ago for delivery and my family that had never ordered from there before and they couldn't believe how incredibly juicy and tender it was! Good chicken fingers and little potato quarters called 'jo jo's". The cranberry sauce makes this whole experience worthwhile. Parking is tough.. I got an order from them and they made a mistake and wouldn't fix it and they were rude to me and hung up on me. I tried to call back and they still wouldn't fix the problem. After walking around for a place to eat, we stumbled upon this place and the name sounded so intriguing. The place was empty around lunchtime but it was also a Thursday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and patient as we reviewed the menu. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. They advertise chips on their menu so we ordered those and an order of hot wings. The sauce for the wings was decent but the "chips" are just chicken tenders. The chicken was frozen, for sure. Overall decent, quick and cheap however it's just a 2 star place. Inside is old and outdated and could use a deep clean. I mean it looks like they haven't changed the carpets or cleaned them in that long. It was incredibly dirty. The food was greasy and expensive for the quality. I got some chicken stix which were stringy, but they tasted good although they reminded me of eating Tyson chicken tenders. I agree with others that it was better under the old management, but it is still really good. I love their chicken sticks and honey mustard dipping sauce.
