Visiting from out of town for the holidays, and Chili's was our meetup spot. We were greeted warmly and had a little wait while they brought some tables together to fit our group. We took advantage of the free chips and salsa rewards--those chips were warm and crisp, and definitely hit the spot! Our server was super sweet and took our drink orders while we figured out what to get. We didn't think to snap any pictures, but we enjoyed burgers, quesadillas, triple dippers, and a grilled chicken salad. The food arrived quickly, and everyone left satisfied. I will not give you a long review. This is a chain restaurant. Sign up for their frequent eaters program and get at least free chips and salsa or a free drink. Chain restaurants always get 3 stars from me unless they do something crazy good or crazy bad. I did not have any issues while dining. My server was really attentive. They may have some type of lunch special or overall special/promotion going, so check their website before going. Plan to increase your back accordingly. You can pay your entire bill via a tablet at the table. It's a chain restaurant, people. This is slow fast food! read more

Our burger and fries took entirely too long with Very few customers inside. When our food arrived the fries were hot, the burgers cold and the top of buns hard from sitting. The bartender/ waitress claimed the cook forgot the fries. What actually happened is she failed to pick up our order timely and fries would be clearly cold, so they were replaced. Lots of things different on menu, not sure it's a win for Brinkers. The lackadaisical service at this location definitely isn't. Music was good! read more

Yesterday my wife and I went to Chilis in Lufkin. We both ordered the three for me 10.99. When we got our bill it was over 50.00. The waitress charged us for each item. She said she usually works nights but the menu is the same all day and night. The food was delicious. Our final bill was a little more than 23.00. Be sure to check your bill. read more

We hadn't been to a Chili's in many years so we thought we would give it a try . Our arrival was not the warm welcoming experience that you would like, instead the host and hostess could not decide were to seat us (so many choices and so many dirty tables!). Finally we were seated (the table top was wet enough to float a battleship). Our server was very friendly and she brought us a basket of greasy chips and watery salsa. Neither were tasty so we sent them back. My wife ordered the Chipotle Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl and I ordered the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. Both looked terrific on the menu pictures and the descriptions sounded marvelous. The execution was not as marvelous. the Chipotle bowl was a meager portion that was flavorful but definitely not worth the price. The Quesadilla salad was served on a flat plate with greasy fried tacos chips coated with melted cheese (not the soft , plumb cheese -filled goodness that was pictured on the menu) surrounding the lettuce and chicken salad. The dressing bland and overall the salad was not worth the price. No we didn't speak to a manager of complain. Why you ask? We decided it wasn't worth it. Chili's is a Dallas Texas based chain and if they can't figure out how to consistently prepare and serve terrific Tex-Mex food then our opinion would have little impact on the product. Cmon chilis! This place has really gone downhill. I understand being short staffed, but management needs to do better. I've given this location 2 chances to redeem themselves. 1st our queso was cold and food was just ok. 2nd, my sandwich bread was so old that it was completely tough and inedible. Then my sister had some sort of paper in her food. That was the last straw. The waitress reported the paper to her manager to which he came out and said "Are yall ok? Because she was worried". My sister said "yeah, I'm just not going to eat any more of my meal" and he just said "are you sure?" Then walked away. No offer to comp her meal... just a $5 discount on our bill. I called in an order for pick-up. Everything was prepared properly and was ready on time. They do have Chili's To-Go parking on the left side of the restaurant. I ordered the Explosion Salad which is available as an individual order or in a large bowl that will feed about 8. I'll say this about the Explosion Salad; It should not be called a salad and it will definitely cause an explosion after eating it. Actually, by definition, it is a salad but trust me, that word does not mean it is healthy. Without elaborating too much, just be careful what you order if you are truly trying to be healthy. Like I said above, the food was prepared correctly and on time. I was in and out quickly. For that, I'll give them three stars. Ordered a Capt Morgan and Coke-double in a tall. Very specific. They brought it out, I took one sip and had to spit it out! Told the waitress that it rated awful, not like Capt and Coke at all...she said... Hmmm, well that's what I told him. She takes it back and then comes over and says, "sorry, I told him Capt and Coke, but we don't have Capt Morgan so he just put 'regular' rum in Coke". Regular? What the heck was it??? Turns out it was the rum they use in their well drinks they turn out for like $2... What happened to being honest and telling me instead of trying to pull a fast one? We visited late on a rainy night and the place was nearly empty. The hostess was cleaning tables and had her back turned but immediately came to seat us once she saw us. Our waiter was Logan and was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Seriously, his serving skills were on point. I had the Southern Smokehouse Burger and fries. My bf had the Prime Rib Fajitas and fries. The food was served quickly, hot, and was flavorful. My burger was so good, I literally stopped chewing to allow the flavors to mingle a bit before continuing. Can't remember the last time a burger made me do that. It was a bit messy and I needed additional napkins. When we couldn't find Logan, we flagged down an employee to ask for more. The places we saw were clean or in the process of being cleaned. The carpets didn't have crumbs and the tiles were swept. 5 stars for the food 5 stars for Logan the amazing waiter 5 stars for the hustling hostess who was cleaning in a nearly empty restaurant and not on a phone or goofing off. I took a star off for an employee smelling like cigarettes and for our not being able to find our waiter when we needed the napkins. It wasn't an excessively long wait (only a few minutes), but it was long enough for my bf to have to find another employee (who was cheerful just the same). Ate at Chili's a few days ago. I really love their house salad and chicken enchilada soup. The day we went there I got about a 1/4 of lettuce with cucumbers placed strategically to let the plate look fuller. I asked my waitress to let the manager know my issue. Just left this location. Worst experience I've ever had!! First of all the tables were dirty! Took awhile to have table cleaned off. Ordered a margarita and it was watered down. Ordered a Chips and salsa and the chips were greasy and the salsa was like cold tomato soup. No texture! Then I ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad. The lettuce was soggy, no taste. Ok corporate, we will def be giving you a call this time. Decided to try again the other day by going inside. Everything was great and the food was great. Decided today to order pick up wanting to give it the benefit of the doubt and after delivering it to the car my spouse checks it and the Santa Fe Chicken salad I ordered has no Chicken. No big deal we took it back and got it and everything was fine. Fast forward to sitting down to eat it and I'm a few bites in and look down.. another hair. Not as long this time but again headed for my mouth. I don't understand what is so hard about making sure the order is correct before checking it out much less do I understand how I get hair in my food every time we get take out. Never again. Our meal was outstanding. Our drinks were excellent. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was packed and he still had time to joke around with my daughter. Went with my mom and uncle while visiting from out of town, our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. The problems started when our appetizer came out and I could see a giant hair across it before out even touched the table. They took it back and then brought the same plate out a few minutes later (we recognized the dripping on the side of the dip and the shapes and sizes of some of the blossom petals). We hope it's a fluke but then my dish comes and I spot 4 eyelashes in my chicken pasta, I regret not taking pictures. We think, this had to be a vindictive act, eyelashes just don't come off in clumps. I found them in the middle of my food as I was mixing the chicken and sauce around. The front apologized and offers to bring me another plate, but I'm definitely not risking whatever they may do next and most assuredly not eating here again, which is a shame for the waitstaff because it was never their fault, but the kitchen has now made it feel like an unsafe place to eat. A human should be allowed to politely send back unsanitary food without fear of retaliation. To top it all off, my uncle's cheesecake was frozen solid. With all the chain restaurants within feet of this one, do yourself a favor and walk next door, don't eat here. read more

I can't believe this is a Chile's. Slow slow service. We sat for 15 minutes before being greeted by our waiter, then it took 5 not minutes to get 3 waters and a tea. The large group at the table beside us left about 15 minutes in, and the table wasn't cleaned until we paid our bill. We put our dirty dishes in that table, since they don't pre-bus there. My fries were cold. The faucet in the bathroom mists water everywhere because it needs to be taken apart and cleaned. No manager in sight, no apology for any of it. Don't go! read more

Chili's is always a great choice for travelers, as the food is consistently very good. We stopped here recently on the the way north, and I had an excellent meal, as always. The Caribbean salad and Southwest eggrolls were delicious, and the service was great. Nothing good to say about my very short visit to Chili's tonight on Dec 29, 2015. Absolutely the worst service! I don't recommend them at all based on their lack of service skills. Sat at the bar and NONE of the three waitstaff members who came through did not even think to greet me or take my order. The guy with the full black beard who came to the register did nothing except stack loose change by the register & pick up a clipboard. I have been here twice in 5 weeks and both times were unimpressive. I love the Chili's in my city but this one sucks. Last time I was here my soup was inedible and I was told the salad dressing I usually get is not available at this location plus the waitress seemed like she didn't want to be at work. Today I visited again and I was disappointed for a second time. I signed in as a reward member when I was seated to get my free beverage. At the end of the meal the ticket was $28 but when my debit card was scanned I was charged $31. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said she didn't know what happened. After thinking it over she told me it she must have accidentally charged me the for my drink. In order to get this corrected she needed a manager and to rerun my card. I was running late and didn't have time to fool with it so I ended up just paying for the stupid drink. My chicken sandwich was not all that impressive and I left wishing I would have just gone to Chick-fil-a instead and saving some money and getting a better tasting sandwich. I will not ever come back to the Lufkin location again. I recommend that anyone signing in for the rewards double check their receipt they are signing. read more
