During this time, the manager on duty repeatedly attempted to pressure the injured employee into signing a form, even going so far as to present it to her while she was in distress and later while she was on the gurney. Despite paramedics instructing the manager to stop, these attempts continued. This behavior was highly inappropriate, lacked compassion, and raised serious ethical concerns. The manager's actions demonstrated a troubling disregard for the well-being of the employee during a medical emergency. No individual in such a condition should be asked to complete paperwork under pressure. If a member of my own family were treated in this manner, I would seriously consider escalating the matter to the appropriate regulatory agencies and seeking legal counsel. I urge your organization to review this incident thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that employees are treated with care, dignity, and respect--especially in emergency situations.
