    I would concur!

We came here the day after Christmas because we were done with leftovers The food was what we called 'old school' Tex-Mex! It was full of flavor and lots of it. The house margarita was just right...not too sweet or tangy. Queso was perfect as was the table side guacamole. The fajitas came out sizzling with plenty of meat for 2 of us even though we ordered the fajitas for one. We will definitely be back.

These enchiladas that are "supposed" to feed a grown vegetarian woman that simply asked for a platter of cheese enchiladas.

DONT EAT HERE!! I came to this restaurant with an empty stomach and grin on my face because "who doesn't love Mexican food!!" I had just came back from playing tennis all morning, nevertheless I was ready to grub. My first red flag was the poor customer service towards me and my large party. However they sat us fast, but food delivery was slow. The salsa was mediocre and the queso was gut wrenching, it tasted like the bottom of a craft mac and cheese bowl plus the corn starch. I ordered cheese enchiladas "pretty easy eh," well you're wrong! After 35 min of waiting for the dang enchiladas, I couldn't eat the queso and salsa because the salsa was very soapy. Finally my enchiladas arrived!!!! I was thrilled yet my hopes weren't high. TO MY DEMISE!!! THE WAS A HALF CUT CARROT IN MY RICE WTF!!!! The enchilada was horrible the "special sauce" came from the hell itself. As I arrive home after my long I am greeted to the toilet where the vomiting didn't stop and the rectal discharge is not appropriate. I AM LIVID DONT STEP FOOT IN THE HOLE-IN-THE-WALL MEXICAN JOINT!!! Below was my vegetarian friends enchiladas!!! Now

The margaritas are just syrup. Yuck! We didn't bother with a meal! If the margaritas are fake so is the food!

Great taco salad and chips. I had to add hot sauce to the salsa to give it a little kick but it was good. Service was excellent.

Our absolute favorite Tex Mex ever! The chicken enchiladas are the best I've ever had, and the warmed salsa is to die for!

Off the beaten path, but by far the best Mexican food in Nac. If you live here or your just passing through this place is a must visit.

Unobtrusive exterior but the food is good and the atmosphere is good. Family friendly. I would do it again.

Our service was top notch. Thank you, Gabby! Someone give that gal a shout out in your next team meeting. She was so attentive and kind. The place was packed for a Saturday evening - lots of large groups of locals. Everyone seemed to know everyone. I've ordered the chicken and dumplings here before and it was very peppery, but tonight it was perfectly seasoned. Warm. Filling. Everything you want. Husband got the fried fish basket - perfectly flakey and moist fish. He thought he ordered the plate but got the basket which is only one side, which he didn't mind but wish he clarified first. You know what stole the show? Their cornbread. I don't know what voodoo they put in their cornbread, but it is so moist, sweet with a crispy outside. Pass on those yeast rolls and just go for the cornbread, you'll thank me later! The restaurant was clean and didn't have any weird smells. We were greeted upon entrance and promptly served.

I had the BLT with the optional egg and it was okay, nothing to write home about. Coffee was good. Makes you feel like you're in a Texas country town for sure! My daughter and I were in Nacogdoches for college visit to SFA and we looked this place up in the hopes that we would find something different than a normal chain stop. It certainly is different and was exactly what you might imagine. Everything on the menu is decently priced and it seems that Tuesday is the place to be with short stack specials for $2 along with the weekday breakfast special at $6.95 On of my daughter's favorite meals is chicken fried steak and what better place to try that than a local diner??? Unfortunately it fell below expectations. The portions were quite large, enough that we could have just split a plate. The idea of sausage gravy on top of the mashed potatos and steak sounds heavy but also potentially fantastic. However both the gravy and the fry were quite under seasoned. I was able to fix mine with some cholula sauce and some salt and pepper was a quick fix as well for my daughter. The side of green beans and carrots she got were actually pretty good so perhaps there was just a disconnect in flavor at the meat station this day. I did very much enjoy the side salad I chose instead of the veggie medley. Came with home-made ranch which brought me back to my East Texas family gatherings with the freshly shaken ranch.....it was great. The portion size was pretty fair value at $13. Like I said we could have just split it between us. Very hit or miss flavors leaves this at a 3-stars for me. But no doubt some of the nicest folks in town work here.
