An old and new review. Used to live the old Texas-style Chilis with chicken fried steak and a big ol' iced tea. But that is long gone. I rediscovered my local Chilis when I figured out that I could get served lunch (drink, soup, entree) for little more than what it cost for a fast food value meal. Sadly Chilis corporate figured that out and has not only co-opted that marketing pitch, but they have messed with the options and portions which is clearly a food cost control measure. I don't need unlimited tortilla chips and salsa. What is still worth going is the community and service set by the staff (Kaitlin) and when the fries come out HOT. read more

Have walked out twice because could not get anyone to take our order. Sat in the bar area, was not very busy, bar was less than half full. Waitress was busy chatting with customers, sharing photos, and ignored polite attempts to get her attention. I've only been to this Chili's location twice in my life, and unfortunately, both times left a bad taste--not because of the food, but because of the service. The first time I visited, it seemed like the waiter was the only one working the floor. I genuinely had sympathy for him, but when I explained my dietary restrictions (I'm gluten-free and vegan) and asked for the veggie dish to be prepared accordingly, he seemed frustrated and almost standoffish. It also felt like he didn't understand what I was talking about, which was disappointing. If your menu indicates that dietary accommodations can be made, your servers should at least be informed on the basics. The service was slow, and overall, the experience felt uncomfortable. On the bright side, we were able to split the check three ways, which I appreciated. My second visit was for a friend's birthday, and we had a larger party. The restaurant was busy, which I expected, and I wasn't upset that the food took a while. What bothered me was that the server was rarely around, even for basic things like water refills. At one point, when a friend asked for a Sprite, the server responded with noticeable attitude. Maybe they were having a bad night, but even so, there should be a level of professionalism and respect that just wasn't there. The most frustrating part was when it came time to pay. We tried splitting the bill eight ways using different cards. One by one, the server told us that every card was declined--which was odd, since we were from different states, using different banks, and all had funds available. Eventually, we asked a different server for help, who was kind and got us a new payment tablet. Still, our cards "didn't work." When the manager got involved, our original server suggested maybe it was because we were "out of state." Funny enough, I'd been there just two weeks earlier and had no issue splitting a check three ways with an out-of-state card. In the end, we just pooled cash to cover the bill. Not a huge deal, but still incredibly frustrating. And to top it off, we all used our cards later that evening at shops and gas stations--with zero issues. All in all, I would not recommend this Chili's location. The food is fine for what it is, but both times I went, I experienced poor service, a lack of understanding about dietary needs, and a level of disrespect that left a bad impression. I do have empathy for staffing shortages and busy nights, but at the end of the day, the way customers are treated matters--and we weren't treated well. I won't be returning. read more

Ordered 2 burgers from DOORDASH on Saturday evening both burgers were BURNED Black and inedible. Molten Lava cake was hard as a rock. Called Chili's in Chelsea spoke to the manager Rick , he said he would credit me through Doordash which he DID NOT do, I had to call Doordash myself and they credited me most of my moneyback. The server and service were wonderful. I enjoy the upbeat atmosphere here. However the Quesadilla Explosion Salad was not good at all. It was all iceberg lettuce and corn. The lettuce tasted very mushy and warm. The flour tortillas were hard. Really a terrible salad. I've been dealing for two weeks now trying to get my money back on a food order that I had DoorDash to my house that was uncooked and not eatable as well as I'm allergic to things that they put on my food. We asked them to take care of this and I even asked them if they wanted me to bring the food in or send a picture and they said no they would Refund my money and go from there and they were very sorry after speaking with Hannah, which is one of the managers she assured me two times that I would have my money back as well as I spoke to a male person as well and he insured me that I would get my money back. The burgers were rare when I asked them to be medium well as well as they put tomatoes That I put specifically not to be on my sandwich.. it's been two weeks and three phone calls since this happened. It's horrible nowadays when something goes wrong as well as I was willing to bring the food back so they could see it. Went here for dinner with my daughter the other day. We both had chicken crispers. I had the buffalo and she had the original. I do not like blue cheese so I asked them if I could have Ranch on the side. I guess normally they drizzle the dressing on top along with the buffalo sauce but since I wanted the ranch on the side they offered to toss the chicken in the buffalo sauce. I had broccoli and fries for a side and my daughter opted to have just fries. We both found our meals to be quite good. The portions were plentiful and the feud came out in a reasonable amount of time. We found the server that we had to be very courteous and he went out of his way to make sure that we were happy. He came back two or three times during our meal to make sure we didn't need anything else. The restaurant was clean and the decor was relaxing. All in all we enjoyed our experience here. read more

This is a pretty typical Chili's franchise. The staff are friendly and the speed of service is always good. It's just nothing out of the ordinary. The music in the dining room is a little bit loud. I'd imagine it's loud in the bar too (which is fine). Chili's has gotten a little bit better as a whole as far as menu choices in the past years. read more

Pretty hungry after traveling all day from Maine. Server (Vanessa? Veronica?) was clearly at the end of her shift and ready to go, as she wasn't attentive or outgoing. Five other parties walked in during our visit and the other server on took them all. I ordered the Caribbean salad. My salad was 5/6 white iceberg butts. I got maybe three spinach leaves. The pineapple had no color, got just a dash of red peppers, and no cilantro. Dried cranberries and Mandarin oranges were fine. Being a vegetarian and requesting no chicken I suppose I maybe expected too much; assuming they could have maybe gone a little out of their way to make the salad look okay? As a server I never would have let that plate leave the kitchen; it did not look the least bit appetizing. Our server never checked back with us to see how everything was. I had to flag her down to order some mashed potatoes. She took away my full salad plate and apparently that wasn't even a cue that something wasn't okay. Yikes. Idk how long Chili's been in town but I wanted to try something new to eat with my family since we moved back here in Keene. We had a nice burger lunch which they are huge! We kinda weren't sure what kind of food they will have. But we did takeout and ate in our car. Well the burgers was so delicious plus the cheesecake was great too and I love, love their chip! So I would eat here again! I would suggest putting a outside trash so we can throw our trash away. But overall I give it a 5 stars! read more

Nasty. Dirty. Rude waitress. There was ketchup splattered on my walls at my table. And the table had not been washed in I don't know how long. I told the waitress it was disgusting and all she said was that the tables we're old and it was sticky because the vinal was coming off. I told her that someone needed to come and clean it, and she came back with a dirty rag and wiped it down over my food. Food was shit. No one did anything to try and fix our issue. So I called the management the next day to inform them about what had happened that night. They blew it off. Don't go here. Especially if you're from out of town. Why is it that this Chili's needs to cover everything with salt? Their food most certainly leaves something to be desired at this location. We come here (or at least we used to) as a group because our friends liked the restaurant. Each time we visited, there would be an issue with the food, whether it was overcooked meat, undercooked fries, incorrect food, or cold food. I don't think we'll be back for this type of occasion because it's simply not worth the money. However, the bartenders and drink specials are amazing. You can't go wrong with cheap draft beer, an attentive bar waitress/bartender, and a good batch of wings. If you want an appetizer and some drinks with friends, this place isn't bad. If you want a sit down dinner with tasty food, I would not recommend stopping here. read more

Went to Chili's tonight in Keene and I must say I won't go back. First off, it was cold. Atmosphere is just the same; cold, open and not inviting. Food was terrible! I ordered the sirloin....worst cut of meat; thin, fatty and overcooked $19.00. Terribly overpriced. Broccoli was undercooked, almost raw and mashed was okay -- better than the rest. The apps were okay and the bloomin' onion was good. The bartender was not happy to be there. The wait was too long at Longhorn steakhouse so we opted for Chili's as we were starving. Will find another option next time or wait take the wait at Longhorn. What a waste of $100.00. read more

We had dinner here last night. Although the food was food, ok but nothing special, the "team" was a mess. Our waitress was nothing if not incompetent. Silly, loud, uninformed! The restaurant was almost empty but we were seated in the booth right next to the kitchen door/computer stand. As many as 7 team members at a time were standing around this area the whole evening discussing not being able to wear shorts to work, their most embarrassing moments, how slow the new cook was, loud, laughing, passing their phones around. VERY inappropriate and disturbing. Our waitress made a mistake on our order with no compensation on the check, even after being reminded. The only staff we saw that looked old enough to drink was the bartender. She actually was the only person there that seemed to be working.
