Ate there last night 10/27/25. I was in town on business and myself, and a co-worker decided to eat there. Service was crappy, and it took one hour to get some chicken wings, a salad and burger. Everyone that came in after us, got there food first, and I was told that is normal. It is not normal to dismiss paying customers. The wings are good, but the salad was so bad, it couldn't be eaten. I will never eat there again. It is not worth the aggravation. The place sucks. Don't waste your time going there, they treat outsiders like they are crap. read more

Fav bar in the Keene area. Specials every day, HH specials, friendly bartenders, and tasty food. Can sit outside on their patio if the weather cooperates. Can't ask for much else. Tot chos are my fav app here, and usually wash it down with Shipyard Pumpkin since we visit around October every year. Enjoy watching football or other sports here as well. Service: depends on the bartender. Sometimes he is very nice, personable, approachable. Other staff members are not quite as relaxed. Other: They are happy to give the WiFi password if you simply ask. Price: great price. $4 for a 14oz beer. They also have specials on certain nights. Atmosphere: friendly and sometimes low-key, other nights is a party! Ask around. All in all, a good bar. read more

Great place for a cheap beer and pub grub. My wife and I went in for happy "hour" which is seemingly all day every day. Had a few $2-$3 beers (Sam Adams, Shipyard). We shared some "tot-chos"; very crispy tater-tots topped with melted cheese and various toppings. They were delicious, but served in a basket on aluminum foil. The cheese was sticking to the foil making it difficult to get all of that cheesy goodness. You have to walk up to a window to order food which was a bit odd. They also have $1 bud selects at certain times. Overall a bit quirky, with good, cheap suds and eats. Big college crown in the evenings. read more

I have been to this Lab 'n Lager location a few times during my many visits to Keene, and I must say I've been impressed each time. In addition, each visit has seemingly been a different experience. I've been there to shoot some pool on a Thursday college night; to sit around on their lounge couches to get a burger and a beer; a more sit-down experience with a larger group to get dinner and (MANY) drinks; and a beautiful fall day sitting in their outdoor patio during Pumpkin Fest while sipping a nice fall beer. Food-wise, I've had their Cajun Black 'n Bleu burger which was perfectly spiced with just the right amount of tangy bleu cheese, and tater tots which I am a huge fan of (anywhere!) when done correctly. At the bar, they had a pretty decent selection of beers on tap, and they all seemed to be nicely priced. Overall, a nice place to grab a drink when in Keene! read more

I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday and was happy with how it turned out. Since then, I've returned numerous times (mainly Wed-Friday), and enjoy myself each time. My favorite deal is the $2 slice of pizzas from Wed- Sat nights. It's the perfect drunk snack that won't bust your wallet. All their other food is just as amazing. Tot-Chos are highly rated, and their wings are fantastic with many different flavor options. Nothing too expensive, and if you go in on your birthday- you receive a large, 2 topping pizza for free! My one reason for not giving 5 stars, is the bouncer who was working on my birthday. I understand that a majority of times a 21st birthday can get out of hand, and people can end up getting way too drunk. However, making a speech before allowing me to enter the bar, about how you "hate 21st birthdays, and if you get too drunk or are force fed shots I'll kick you out and you'll end up crying outside" is NOT a good way to welcome new customers to your establishment. I would not trust this bar ever. This bar took my friend From South Carolina who is graduating in 7 days. I called the police and they reassured her ID was real. This bar took my food and my beverage from me and forcefully placed their hands on me. This establishment is both disrespectful and discriminative. They grabbed another woman who was 21 and tried to enter their bar who was wearing a yellow shirt and forcefully threw her out of the building. I will never come to this bar ever again. A 40 minute wait for an order of wings and a pizza. Pizza was the meat lovers, nothing to write home about and the crust was bland and the ham was terrible. Prices were great, but not worth the wait, especially when your in a hurry. You order at one place and they bring to you at the table or bar. Lab is just packed. Regardless of age type, the people inside are an eclectic mix. You have locals, Keene State, working crowd, and everyone in between. They pass and go without your party really noticing. Drinks are great (and cheap given which night). Bartenders are awesome. Food isn't too bad either, the cook manning that table is an awesome lad (never seems to be in a bad mood). I've been there for Lobster Fest, been there for post-Thanksgiving celebrations. Everything was tasty. I have never had a bad experience here. If you are in Keene and need a glimpse of the nightlife here, definitely try Lab or its counterpart Cobblestone. read more

This is from what i gather a large college hangout spot. I expected a lot more trucks and red necks but this is a lot younger college crowd. Granted we did come for Karaoke which happens the last Thursday of the month. The sound was waaaay too loud for Karaoke. Trevor is great man'ing the bar despite some ridiculously rude customers. For tiny little Keene, NH, this is one of the town's top college bars. I only recommend this spot for college students. When I was in college, we would pack this place harder than Orson Welles's mouth at dinnertime. We'd laugh too loud, drink too much, hobnob & politick. Some people would fall asleep right in the bar, some would get kicked out, some puke right in the sink and keep on going- that's the way it went. This is the spot to be if you're in college, broke and want to blow whatever cash you have partying with your friends. Thirsty Thursday's would always make for tough Friday mornings. God damn $1 rum & cokes and bud light selects! Jesus, I was a cheap ass! Memories of what used to be... Now that I'm a little older, I'm not sure how to feel about Lab. A good dose of nightlife is great while you're young but the college crowd gets old quick once you graduate and the real world starts kicking your ass. However, I'm still a fan (and always will be). I've eaten here many times but I don't really have much to say about the food. Lab N' Lager has won me over. Initially, I was hesitant about the place. It seemed way too bright inside to be a bar! Is it just me, or did they dim the lights a little in there? LNL has some great deals. Thursday nights are the best deal in town! From 8-9pm they have $1 mixed drinks specials (one type of alcohol per drink). So for that whole hour you can drink rum & cokes or gin & tonics for only $1 each! Then from 9-10pm they're $2. 10-11pm they're $3. Do you understand how dangerous this is?!? Usually by 9pm I'm all set for the night, and it's only set me back probably $5! I haven't gone there on any other nights yet, but this is my spot on Thursday's from now on. The Lab (as it is known to college students) is not my favorite bar to go out to on your common drinking nights as it is always incredibly packed, usually has a line to get in, and is very very loud inside. However, if going for Lunch, Happy Hour or on a night other than Thurs, Fri, Sat it is rather pleasant. They also do Kegs and Eggs, but I have never been. I've been here for Happy Hour/Dinner quite a few times and am always impressed with their food. They do not have an extensive menu but it has some quality items on it. I don't think I can say anything bad about any of the food I have had. The drinks can be a bit expensive compared to some other bar's when not a popular drinking night, however, still relatively well priced compared to chains and bar's in bigger cities. They have a DJ occasionally with Karoke and/or Trivia I believe. They also have pool and darts. read more

I love Lab. The food and drinks are very affordable. It's a fun atmosphere for watching sports. It does get loud on the weekends, so be prepared for that. Hi folks, Lab n Lager by far is the best casual bar in Keene. I believe it accommidates a wide crowd. huge TV's always playing sports. Comfortable couches to relax, Fireplace to create relaxed and warm environment. Pool, Golden Tee Golf, and darts for the competitive spirit. Great specials all week long. And a rarity in most bars, great food!! Everything on the menue is below 9 dollars and you get a wide variety, Shepards Pie, Burgers, Ribs, Lemon Herb Chicken, Sweet Potato Wedges. We went to the lab n lager on the day of the pumpkin festival in Keene. There was a long line to get in but we didn't mind waiting to get some food and beer. We waited for about 45 minutes before my cousin really had to go to the bathroom. The bouncer who could see us in line refused to let him go in to use the bathroom. It should be noticed that the bar was nowhere near capacity. Next when we finally made it to the front of the line the bouncer refused to let the 4 of us enter as a group. When we said we'd wait so 4 of us to go in he said he would skip us in line. And all of this was done with a smug frat boy grin. His friends that were a few people behind us in line were in the bar in a matter of minutes. The bouncer put such a bad face on the bar that it would be difficult to recover not to mention we were half way through our beers before we watched one of the bartenders simply rinsing off dirty pint glasses before reusing them. The food was good but you have to get up and leave your seat to order at the kitchen window. All and all I wouldn't recommend this bar to anyone. That bouncer and the unsanitary bartenders have lost a lot of business. read more

Awesome new bar for a college town. Donnie, the owner did a great job putting a place together that is a low-key, fun place to chill with friends. The bartenders/staff are all very friendly and make you feel like it is your "cheers". It's an awesome place to hang out if you don't want to go to a skanky so-called "club" or if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a beer or mixed drink. I haven't been in over 6 months now, after moving across the country but I definitely look forward to heading there on my next visit back home to relax and meet up with old friends.
