Tried giving chili's another chance after a two year hiatus, I didn't feel comfortable paying $12-$18 a plate for a microwaved plate. Went in and ordered a beer and chicken wings (half buffalo, half fire) while I waited for the rest of my party. Chicken wings came out and the fire tasted like sweat chili. I told the waitress and she said she'd being the correct chicken wings. She came back with a cup of their crap sweat chili sauce that was sent from a disgruntled cook and asked if that was the sauce on the wings (she wanted me to try it).She said the kitchen wouldn't change it (fire was in the top of the "hot" thermometer and a baby could've Drunken it) It was the rudest thing I've seen a waitress do, I was lying about their wings and shit sauce. I paid and left. The wings were disgusting and I wouldn't recommend. Can't comment on the rest of the food because I didn't make it to the rest of the menu. Definitely still microwaving food. Next time put your crap sauce on an old shoe, probably taste better. read more

Grace from the Carson City location is one of the finest food industry employees I have ever encountered! She wasn't even my waitress and she came over to our table over to check up on us. I will come back to this Chillies just because of her positive attitude and how she went above the average just to make sure I had a good meal. My waitress, Mary, on the other hand was very unhelpful and didn't even refill our drinks until we had to bug her. I can not rave enough about Grace though. read more

My first time ever to a Chili's restaurant and I couldn't be more satisfied. I wandered in around 2:30 and ordered a $6 lunch special! It was fabulous(a margherita flatbread with chicken, avocado, and bacon with a side salad and I got the dessert for the extra $2.50. I am so disappointed with the "pick up" for orders to go. This is the second time they forgot my dressing for my salad. She had only five tables and was running around like she was a chicken with her head cut off. I don't drink alcohol so I can't vouch for the drinks in the bar BUT a glass of water, soda or tea is never empty long before another full one appears at your table! We were at Chili's last night my husband ordered Chicken wings which were tasty but no celery and the carrots were the end of the package so small and stragglers that had no presentation I would have used them in a salad or the garbage can. Ordered to-go (curbside service). This is the second time that I've gotten home just to find out that there is something missing from my order. The point of this service is customer convenience. I shouldn't have to inspect my order every time. Employees are paid to do a job, a customer should be able to expect that job has been done. The first time it happened the manager mailed me $20 worth of gift cards, which covered about half my order. Tonight, the manager wasn't going to do anything. Finally she said she could give me a $5 credit towards my next order but I would have to come in to pick it up. Really, $5 for half of my dinner missing? We ordered fajitas, but didn't get any of the "fixings" (cheese, sour cream, guacamole, etc.). The food is always good, but service is unreliable. read more

Went in for a late dinner around 8pm. The restaurant had about 6 customers in it and 4 workers. Each worker looked directly at us and then chose to ignore us. We stood there waiting to be seated and even had a look at the menu to give them time to greet us. At one point I walked over to the main server and smiled, I had started to say something and she completely turned away and started a conversation with the 1 table she had. Chili's is amazing. We went during a give back night and the food was fantastic. We got the 2 for 22.00 and was surprised about how much food you get. We both got fajitas and it was so much food we had to take it home. Food always come out nice and hot and the service amazing. Lily is always super friendly and goes above and beyond. See, here's the thing, it's CHILI'S. I mean, CHILI'S. It's not the four star restaurant we'd all like to go to, it's a franchise that survives because it's so gosh-darn consistent. (Usually...) The night my mother and I decided to pop in for a late night meal was barely passable. Don't get me wrong, the food is spot on (like I said, consistency), but the service was --terrible--. Our waitress ignored us 75% of the time and only brought us drinks after I made it practically jumping-jack obvious that I wanted something. (Geesh!!) Our food took a lot longer than that late night empty should have produced, but I'm glad it came before 10 PM. Most of the waitresses were ambling around not doing anything and it seemed we were not the only ones lacking in customer service. The last pet peeve of the night? Waitresses that sweeten up to you for the 30 seconds that it takes them to ask you if you need anything else, give you your check, and wish you a good night. Riigghhtt, that's gonna work. Ya know, erase the last hour of non-existent service. (Hello, jumping jack?) Yeaaahhh right. On our way out, the hostesses, young high school girls, were all absorbed in their drama but cussing like they weren't on the job and being paid to be properly mannered. CRINGE. This location has an edge, as it is the only true sit down restaurant in the area. We went here for lunch, and we were seated right away. We were starving, and ordered quickly. We ordered chips and salsa, but it took like ten minutes to get them and we had to ask again to get them. The server didn't say sorry for forgetting or anything which was strange. After that our food came out quickly. Everything looked good but when I went to put mustard on my burger I noticed that the avocado that I asked for and paid extra for wasn't there. I asked the server and she went to get it, but that took another five minutes. During that time a manager came over to check on us and I didn't say anything about it because I figured that the server was already taking care of it. After I received the avocado, the manager came back and apologized for the delay and took it off the bill. I thought that was really nice. Overall they were really nice, and I appreciated that they took the avocado off the bill, even though it was only 75 cents. Oh and when you go to chili's expect them to refill your drink without checking weather or not you want a refill. I ended up with three diet cokes when i really only wanted 1! read more

Driving from Gardnerville on our way back to Tahoe we stopped for a "quick" bite at Chili's. We sat at the bar since it was a 15 minute wait for table-seating. It took a few minutes before we received menus and we went with the 2 for $20 deal (an appetizer plus two full entrees). Our total was $26.54 with two non-alcoholic drinks. Our app was the chips and guac and salsa. Sooooo good! As always! The guac has fire-roasted corn in it and a little kick but isn't too spicy. Same with the salsa. It's a little bit spicy (not for me...) but great flavor. I ordered chicken fajitas and my fiance ordered ribs. We didn't think about it until the ribs came but the bartender never asked which of the 3 styles/flavors he wanted. We actually don't even know what he ended up with. They were good though. My chick faj's had soooo much grilled onion underneath and maybe two slices of grilled bell pepper. The side plate with lettuce and sourcream, etc. was kind of lacking. I could have asked for extra lettuce but was hungry and everything had been sort of slow up to that point so I just decided to eat. It took a while after we finished to actually get our check and then to get her to run our card. She was a very friendly server though. We enjoyed the little chit chat we got with her, but acutally talked more with the people seated on either side of us. The older couple on our left seemed like they knew the server very well and they were super friendly, And the young girl seated to our right seemed to want to talk with us also - it was a fun crowd. Just got done eating there for my son's birthday and completely enjoyed everything. The service was very attentive and polite. The food was actually excellent and actually cooked not microwaved and dumped on the plate. Most of these places resort to that. Microwave everything! The food was on time, our main dishes arrived a minute after we finished our appetizers.
