I eat here for lunch about once a month with my best friend. We usually order the triple dipper appetizer plate with southwestern egg rolls times two and chipotle honey chicken crispers. It does come cooked different almost every time which is annoying. They egg rolls are great when crispy and not so great when not crispy so its a toss up how you will get them. When cooked properly this dish is great. I would love it if they were more consistent with how they arrive at the table. The staff is always friendly. Waitresses are usually quick to take care of you. read more

If I'm being honest, I'm completely taken back by the performance, food and atmosphere. My expectations were surpassed by many lengths. My dates and I had to force ourselves to eat at a slower pace to enjoy! The server was friendly and pleasant. He was on top of it, bringing out everything before we even asked! To-go orders can be very difficult for a chain like Chili's. They are set up to handle fine-in leftovers but to my surprise they are just as clever with delivery. They packed my Chicken Nachos later by layer with foil in the middle while my cookie a-la-mode had the cookie still warm when it arrived and the ice cream still solid. If I could give them 6/5 stars I would. Even living in North Carson they are my go to for Door Dash delivery. read more

We stopped in Carson City for lunch and found a Chili's (Yay!) on US-395. It was a little hard to get to, but we wove our way around the strip-mall parking lot and finally made it. The service was excellent, which I've come to expect from Chili's, and the portions/prices are acceptable. There only are two drawbacks: (1) My 6 oz. sirloin was mostly gristle and fat, which is the first time that's ever happened to me at a Chili's. The cook has to inspect the meat better before sending it out. (2) That hokey tabletop payment thing needs to go away. I do not want to sit at a table to eat and press on a screen that who-knows-how-many other adults/kids have already pressed. Gross. Fortunately, our awesome waitress happily took payment for me. I had 2 teams in town for a soccer tournament and this location was amazing at working with both groups of 30-40 people in back-to-back reservations. I called a week in advance to make sure they were willing to take us and they accepted the challenge. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating to our needs. The worst service ever!! I wouldn't recommend to anyone! Given them one star is being generous. My family and I went here for dinner before a movie. We arrived with an hour and half before the movie started(keep that in mind) we waited 20 minutes BEFORE our waitress even acknowledged us. We finally got to order our drinks and father in law asked for lemon for his water. The waitress leaves even though we had asked to order our food as well. ANOTHER 20 minutes pass' and she asks 'Are you ready yet' and we reply with 'yes'. I asked for a medium well steak and we all ordered appetizers. 15 minutes later we get our appetizers and the waitress is going so fast and careless that she puts a SIZZLING HOT pan on top of my brother in laws boyfriend hand. HOW DO YOU DO THAT?! When we got our food, my plate was COVERED in blood from the steak. Medium well shouldn't come to you Mooing. So I asked the waiter and she replied 'you get what you asked for. The chefs cook it to the menu's standards'. At this point, I'm raging with anger and I ask for a menu and point to her the menu of where it shows the steak cooking levels. She then takes my WHOLE plate. After 30 minutes I walk over to another waiter asking about my food and she went into the kitchen to ask only to come back to me to tell me no one told the cook, but that she did and they are making it. After 20 minutes I flag down our waitress and have her go get it. She then comes back with 'No one told me that it was done' and I replied with 'well you never told the cooks to cook it.' When I got my steak I could barley even cut into it it was so BONE DRY. OH and I had ONLY my steak. I asked for mashed potatoes and veggies to go with it. I was so furious I asked for the manager and I let him know what happened and he replied with 'well we already took care of your meal, what more do you want' REALLY The food isn't good at all. The service is worse though. I would NEVER recommend ANY Chili's. I've never had good service here and for that I will never return. read more

Chilis is chilis, right? Well, yes and no. Some are mediocre on service or the food is maybe not exactly right when it comes out. While you can't say some locations are bad, some just aren't good. This one in Carson City is one of the best I've been to! I was impressed with the wait staff, host, and yes, even the food. Sure, it's Chili's food. But served hot, fast, correct, etc. All adds up to make this Chilis one we'll return to next time we're in the area! read more

So been going to Chilis for a while and last few times they have had issues. Tonight, Mother's Day 2019, was NO exception. First off, the group that came in after me was seated first with no reservation. They tried to seat the second group that came in after me til I interrupted and told them I had a party of 5 and that the previous group was after me and seated before me. Got a mumbled "sorry". I should have just left then but I stayed. Then one of my party showed up and we ordered drinks. She ordered a coconut margarita and when it came it was on ice and she exclaimed that the tequila was all she could taste. So we asked if it could be blended because the tequila was so strong. The waiter, Zack, grudgingly took it back and muttered that it would still have all that tequila even blended. So he was an ass. The rest of the party showed up and ordered drinks. We had problems getting refills to the point the manager had to get them for us once. Then we ordered our food including a Smokehouse burger no pickles no tomatoes and what came out? You guessed it, loaded with tomatoes and pickles. We sent it back and the waiter came right back with our burger because "they got mixed up". Ok fine. The new burger had pickles on it. We sent it back, again. 15 minutes later got the 3rd burger, this one without either tomatoes or pickles. Most of us were done and this burger was overcooked and charred but our party member was hungry and didn't want to wait for yet another burger to be made so he ate it. They also forgot, again, my garlic pickles for my Smokehouse combo. This seems to happen EVERY time. We weren't the only ones with problems, 3 other people in our area with our server had problems and talked to the manager as well. We talked to the manager and he adjusted our check for both the burger debacle and the messed up margarita. The the receipt wouldn't print as the Zoosk kiosk was goofed up which I had to fix. After getting another receipt printed, I found out my chips and salsa reward didn't take but have already paid for the meal. Talked to the manager again and he voided the whole receipt and took the chips and salsa off and I had to sign a new receipt, so we'll see if I get double charged. The manager did give me $20 in chilis bucks for next time for the inconvenience. Not going back in the next few years I guess. read more

Have been here before and the service was good and so was the food. Went at 2 PM on Christmas Eve, people waiting for a table even though there were many empty 4 spots in the dining room. When we (2 of us) asked to be seated, we were told there was a 15 to 20 minute wait. When I questioned that there were empty tables, the haughty reply was "those are for 4 people" SMH. We left. Food was to be expected and no issues with that ( it's Chili's ) but the waitress was super rude and crass to our table, especially my 77 year old Father In Law. Made several comments about being bummed because we weren't ordering enough drinks and "she works on commission", called him grouchy several times and said she needed to "get him drinking" and made a comment to my Mother In law about her changing her mind on her order because "she's a woman". Also made it extremely clear how annoyed she was that we all ordered side salad bc she has to make them in the back. Our 10 year old was even very uncomfortable and whispered to us how rude she was several times. I couldn't even look her in the eye at the end when she approached the table. Everything has gotten much better with ordering and picking up curbside. My orders are accurate and ready on time with no hassles and friendly staff. Great improvements! Excellent burgers and the best salsa. If you need something on your order and can't put it in online, call them and it's done. read more

This place isn't too bad; the relatively poor review is just me. I fully concede that lots of folks like Chili's in general and this location specifically, and I won't argue with those fine Yelpers. The problem is I just really can't find ANYthing on the menu that really jumps out at me. Again, lots of people are probably very satisfied with the offerings, but I've just never had anything at Chili's that made me say "yum!". Now, of course, if I were to eat the deep-fried, chicken-based things with french fries and a soda or milkshake, I'm sure I'd think it was pretty tasty. But I'd be dead by now. I guess that's the problem. I often order the Quesadilla Explosion salad, and it's just "okay minus"; same with the chicken tacos. While these are probably reasonably healthy choices, it's all just bleh to me. Once I did order the ribs, and they were terrible - dry, stringy, tough - but that was really the only thing I've ever eaten here that was truly 1-star. Oh, yeah, I think that the beans and rice suck. The beans are really just beans (From a can?) with a little spice. The rice has bad veggie matter interspersed - some wimpy carrot pieces and dried-up corn kernels. I fear that these side dishes were pre-made in Texas (or somewhere far away) and dehydrated around 1992 and then shipped in to be "cooked" locally. I dunno. (Okay, okay, yes, I'm off the deep end here. I like good rice and beans - I'm a native Californian, so this is comfort food to me. I didn't realize how much I REALLY don't like the rice and beans at Chili's until I started writing this, and it looks like I went off on some sort of dramatic, lying, comedic rant. Wow. Sorry.) The service has generally been pretty good. I'm sure the servers are paid lousy wages, but they do a pretty good job - at least as good as any other locals working in chain restaurants. Let's give 'em 3+ stars. YeeHah. Prices aren't too bad. Today (September 2009) we had two entrees - a burger w/ fries and the chicken taco dinner - plus a couple of iced teas; the total was $28.90 including tax ($1.65) and tip ($4.00). The Topsy Lane Chili's in Carson City has had a few rocky spots, but lately the service and food is back up to Chili's standards and mine as well. The servers are pleasant and welcoming, the atmosphere is fun and smoke free, the food is served hot and, if there is a problem, they solve it immediately. I particularly like the Southwestern Eggrolls for an appetizer, and it's a toss up between the Boneless Buffalo Wings and the Wings Over Buffalo. Sandwiches are good anytime and I recommend the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap or the BBQ Pulled Pork. I really like their tacos, too -- it brings back fond memories of the first few times I ever went to Chili's. Chili's Ribs are as good as ever and now they've have the new Memphis Dry Rub and Shiner Bock flavors as well. Both are a treat, but the original flavor is still a good choice too. Chili's Fajitas were the first item I ever ordered at Chili's. My husband and I would drive 45 miles one way (the nearest Chili's back then) just to share the Fajitas for Two with all the side fixings. The Fajitas are still as good now, but it is harder to choose from the menu now -- too many great items to choose from! Although Chili's has expanded the Salad menu, my favorite is still the House Salad and an appetizer (Southwestern Eggrolls) or soup (Chicken & Green Chili) or chili. My favorite dressing is the Avocado-Ranch. We used to go to Chili's and drink their Margaritas with dinner, but, now I'm more partial to the Strawberry Lemonade. I'm gettin' old, darn it! We've never had bad service here. The 2 for $20+ deal is really nice when you have an even amount of adult diners because there's something for everyone. They've changed their menu a little bit over the past year or so and I have to say, with the addition of the cheese bites, I now forgive them for getting rid of mozzarella sticks ;) The servers at this Chili's are very attentive and always making sure everything is going ok. They seem to enjoy helping people and are always good for recommendations when everything looks good. Even during peak times, the wait is never long, if at all. I'd recommend this one if you don't feel like casino food but still want it to be affordable - or if you're in the mood for Chili's. read more

Horrible place to eat got there around 8 didn't get our food till 8:45 well I should say everybody at the table got their food besides me when I asked the waiter where my food was he said oh I'll go get it five minutes later no food manager walks by i ask her about it and tell her cancel the order take it off my bill 10 minutes later when everybody else was done eating he brings the food out told him I don't want it take it back he has the audacity to tell me oh don't be mad you got to be freaking kidding me. Been to the Carson City Chili's several time over the past year. Nothing really fantastic about it, other than removing items I like from the menu. Overall, the atmosphere is family oriented and friendly. Most of the time I eat in the bar so I can watch whatever sports game they have on. The food quality is acceptable. Sometime hot and moist, other times luke warm, over cooked or just barely edible. Servers are typically friendly, although, in the bar, you don't get attended to as often due to the need of the barkeep making drink orders as they come in. It is a typical chain restaurant, with decent prices that will give you decent food that fills your stomach. Nothing spectacular, but definitely acceptable. read more

This was first time here in Nevada chili's I have to say I was very impressed. Not was only the food very good but our waitress Denise was outstanding. She took the order of all 15 of us, got all of the changes in the food correct, was very attentive, and had a above the excellent mark in attitude. Our family usually loves this Carson City Chili's. Today they totally missed the mark. We decided to go in a little early for lunch and avoid the crowd after the Nevada Day parade. We were asked by our server if we wanted our burgers pink or cooked through. I said cooked through, no pink. When the food was delivered the server said, "burger no pink". I took a bite of my burger and it was very red and actually cold in the middle!! The globules of white fat were congealed and cold. I sent it back and didn't want them to make a second attempt at something that took over 20 minutes on the first attempt. read more

Just left chili's and had the worst experience. Not sure the name of our server because she didn't introduce herself but she had frizzy blonde hair that looked un-washed. Very unprofessional. Our visit started with me asking for a kids menu that our server forgot and we ended up walking up to the counter to get it ourselves. My brothers order was messed up but at this point the food took so long to get we didn't complain. When I ordered and asked for my sauce on the side the server rolled her eyes at me. When we finally got our food and asked for mustard and water after our drinks had been sitting empty a majority of the time the server goes "wow you guys are really needy!" Then she had someone else bring us the mustard and waters. I use to really like chili's and go all the time but the service here has really gone downhill. We won't be going back. read more

I don't have high expectations when going to chili's but a recent visit was particularly underwhelming. The food was about what I expected and just so so. What struck me was the poor service. The staff was polite enough but inattentive. I feel the biggest problem is the use of the electronic devices at the tables for ordering and paying. It took our server several minutes to input our order into her mobile device as she awkwardly stood at our table in silence.
