Triple Dipper
Natalie S.

When I come somewhere like Chili's, I'm not expecting a gourmet meal, but a classic app or a burger. We came here again tonight, for the first time since last December, after stopping at another Canton establishment (that had high Yelp ratings- whose ratings did not match the experience), and had a great experience here. The staff were friendly and efficient and the restaurant was clean. The only complaint I have was the 30 minute wait to be seated, which seemed to be due to a lack of staff, as there were many tables open. Will definitely come back in the future.

I had wanted to try the Triple dipper appetizer for a while now and since I had some time this week I thought why not go to Chili's! I got here after 430 pm and it wasn't busy; however, I had a kinda long wait to be seated, receive my drink, and appetizers. I must note that my waitress was really nice and attentive after she was assigned to me. On to the food... I ordered the trio with honey chipotle mozzarella sticks, chicken crispers, and southwest egg rolls. The first thing that caught my attention was that my food was just warm, barely. The egg rolls had the best potential, flavors were there just pretty cold. The tenders were okay better than the sticks. The breading on the sticks and the sauce combined was a very weird texture. I think it would have been better without the sauce on top. Next, I ordered the ultimate Cajun pasta with chicken and shrimp to take home. So the good, it was fresh when I ordered it and aesthetically pleasing. The chicken was chopped beautifully and there was a good amount of food... however the taste was very bland and I'm not sure why it's Cajun because it's not spicy, not even a little. Also I must mention the strawberry daiquiri/ margarita drink was superb. I'd return for that alone the food probably not.

After some time of waiting, they continued seating multiple groups that came in after us taking the tables of 4 that were available. They even seated the couple behind us in line at a 4 person table. I asked the hostess about my group and if I should take them elsewhere as they kept seating people behind us in line. She responded and said "it will be more time for your group. Looking to get tables close to each other". I told her that the reason why we stuck around was to get seated and was fine with splitting, as already discussed. Another table got sat ahead of us shortly after this conversation happened. My group instantly felt disrespected and not welcomed - which led to our group unanimously voting to leave. Unfortunate experience. Maybe just caught them on a bad day.

My husband and I just ordered the blueberry pancakes because you get three huge ones and order of sausage which was another four. He also wanted eggs and it was all delicious and perfect. The blueberries are inside the pancakes where they should be and they added some on top. Also, loose fresh blueberries. And you know pancakes are good when you can just use butter and no syrup.! I do that at first but later use a little syrup to top it off. We loved "Jonny cakes"and we highly recommend it.

The confirmation text didn't come through until we were already inside, which might be bad reception, but it almost cost us the table. Then they sat us right across from the back kitchen entrance. Banging, yelling, and an open doorway into the kitchen. Off-putting, especially with better seating clearly open. The food keeps the rating up. I did not expect a wings place, but the smoked wings were my favorite, right amount of crispy with good smoke. The sauce list is long and I couldn't pick a favorite. The ranch tasted house-made and it was amazing. The chikin soho was the other standout. Honey ginger glaze, chili dijon slaw, and pickles that all work together. Misses: the brisket nachos needed fresh guac and actual brisket, since there was barely any. The 6 cheese mac was fine but not worth ordering again. Prices were right for what it is, a bistro concept. It's in Wayne, which surprised me since I didn't know spots like this existed out here. Wide enough menu that I'll be back. Next time I'm speaking up about the seating.

The restaurant is on an extremely busy four lane divided highway/street and this restaurant is next to a La-Z-Boy store (to help you spot it). The great news is there is a lot of free and convenient parking at the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, it is a very open floor plan. While there are many TV screens for those sitting near the bar area, it is not disruptive to those in the dining area. The ambiance is casually upscale and pleasant. The outdoor patio areas were closed off due to the hot summer temperatures. There is also a large covered patio-like area where it did not seem that people were seated (or very few). I believe that dogs are allowed there year-round, though there weren't any dogs there during our visit. When the weather is better, dogs are also allowed on the outdoor patio. My friend and I were seated in a comfortable booth and were promptly greeted by our server. My friend is gluten and dairy free and our server was very knowledgeable on how to accommodate these sensitivities. We both ordered the Tuscan Chicken Entrees - I had mine with green beans and mashed potatoes; my friend's sides were broccoli and tater tots. Our server was overall appropriately attentive. My friend found the chicken entree too peppery and I found mine edible but on the edge of being too salty. The chicken was topped with artichoke hearts and feta, which could account for some saltiness. If I came here again, I would probably order something else. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, though it's not anyplace I would run back to. It was a good experience overall, but not for foodies. It's a sports bar that tries hard to be and overall succeeds in being a decent dining experience.

There was no question, I would see my friend. We had selected Chicane earlier, eager to try the new restaurant in a familiar setting, by the train tracks on Starkweather. This location was formerly Station 885, a restaurant my friend and I visited years earlier, when a toy train ran along tracks around the perimeter, delighting her young daughter. We arrived early, scoring a great table with a view of the large bar, lounge, and stage. The restaurant is glamorous, with gorgeous lighting and attractive furnishings. Musicians entertained the eager and appreciative audience. There are so few places that provide this level of entertainment and hospitality. I had already previewed the menu and was anticipating the meal ahead. The duck sounded amazing and is almost always my first choice. However, the short ribs were tempting, as were the scallops in a coconut curry broth. I went with my first instinct, the duck, paired with a French Onion soup. The medium-rare duck breast was perfectly prepared; I liked the sweet potato puree and slaw accompaniments. Incidentally, the portion was huge. My friend enjoyed her braised short rib, which was on the 2-course supper menu, available before 6pm. For dessert, I went with the chocolate cube. Unfortunately, I didn't even see the banana parfait, which was mentioned in several of the reviews here. Oh, well, I was content. The dessert had a bold, intense chocolate flavor, which paired well with the ice cream's more subtle flavors. I also appreciated the different textures on the plate. Service was fantastic: professional and helpful. Unfortunately, my car died during the cold, and TripleA was unable to help, given the number of people/vehicles in a similar situation. The restaurant staff went above and beyond to find someone (the Executive Chef, who was in the middle of service) to provide a jump; I am so grateful for the gracious hospitality.
