I ordered the coney special meal which is two coneys, fries and a beverage. It was more than enough food for one person. The coney was very good. The others dining in our group had wings, Greek salad and the onion rings. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The breakfast menu had made this restaurant a popular choice but the lunch and dinner is equally good. Excellent parking and lots of space inside to dine. The service was fast and we had food leftover. In addition to breakfast, they offer a nice comfort food dinner menu that includes meatloaf, grilled porkchops, traditional turkey dinner, chicken alfredo, lots of veterans more. When we were given the wrong order, she angrily took it away brought back another wrong order and said you should have said that to begin with!? She also argued with someone picking up a carry out. We got a takeout order for work. Super quick, accurate, and tasty. Called in, by the time I got there a few minutes later, it was almost ready. Packed up with a smile and out the door in a flash. We got a variety. Salads, sandwich, omelet, and an order of chicken fingers with fries. All wete tasty, perfectly cooked, and generous portioned. We all really love the ranch they have here, too. They have signs all over there windows demanding you leave a tip for carry out. One waitress went to whisper that I didn't leave a tip on my card (was going to give cash until I heard her). Second waitress gave me my food then asked, "Did you already pay?" I replied,"Yes. I did." Her immediate response was to laugh and say I don't believe you." Stopped here for a nice breakfast with my daughter who ordered a waffle, after all our food was brought to the table, they waited 10 minutes after to inform us that a singular waffle would be another 15 minutes. After another 5 they told us we could now order waffles and so decided to place the order. After receiving the bill, not only was there no apology for the extreme wait, but they tried to double charge us for the 30 minute waffle. When asked to speak to a manager regarding the whole experience we were rudely meet by the "owner" who, in such distaste, told us that it was what it is was, and we were informed about the wait and we still needed to pay for the waffle. Try and go in the morning, the service is far superior compared to that of the evening. I called in an order for chili cheese fries and a salad, show up 15 minutes after I call per when they said the order would be ready. Rudest waitress I have seen, short redhead girl in glasses, stands at the window and has a conversation with her co worker for 5 minutes before opening the window, then yells what's your name twice. I tell her and she disappears, never to be seen again. Eventually someone else comes to the window completely unconcerned about what going on and ask for my name again. Another 10 minutes passes and I finally get my food only to take it home and see my chili cheese fries are actually fries with a slice of cheese on them and no chilli .........on top of all this, the icing on the cake the lady had the audacity to ask if I wanted to tip.......... This place is near my house. Everything is good here. I usually just get carryout but the inside looks nice and usually has people. I love their chicken wing dings, grilled chicken salad, and patty melts only to name a few of their delicious items. read more

The food is standard here, mostly similar to any other Coney Island. I always order a Greek salad when I come to a Coney Island. It taste the same as any Coney Island anywhere. Are used to come here maybe once a month when I worked at the plant, during launch. Sadly there's not a lot to eat around Michigan assembly Plant. Slim pickings actually. If this is one of the more average or better restaurants, it's not saying very much. Nonetheless I would come here about once a month and order either a turkey Reuben, chicken euro or a tuna melt. Always with a Greek salad, since it feels wrong to go to a Coney Island and not order a Greek salad here. The food was Average at best. I always wish that they had the hani Sandwich, I get a national, but not possible. How much relieved when I'm back in the office and away from the plant. Went in this morning to grab some breakfast. There were only 8 tables/booths taken out of at least 20 or more so it wasn't busy. We sat there for 15 minutes and not one of the 8 waitresses, bus boy, nor manager even came to our table once, even though passed by multiple times. We eat here every so often and have been very happy with the food and service. Today, however was not the case. I had the day off, so I went there for breakfast. I order French toast, eggs, bacon and a side of bacon. Waitress was very unfriendly and said about 4 words to me. I get my food and my eggs have a slice of cheese slapped on them, even though I did not order with cheese. The Bacon was so overcooked that it fell apart when you touched it. Waitress never came back to my table to ask how it was or to refill my drink. When she came back to give me the bill, I told her about the bacon, and she replied "Wow". No offer to take it off the bill or have the cook get me some fresh bacon. I told her that there was cheese on my egg and that I didn't order it that was, but I went ahead and ate it. She replied "oh". Again, no offer to make it right. I paid for my food and even left a $5 cash tip on a $15 bill. Person cashing me out never asked how everything was. Wow! How many employees does this place have on a Sunday morning? I counted at least 50. This place is booming with excitement after a soccer game. Staff is very friendly and the food is plentiful. It's your typical Coney Island food so do not think you are getting five star food. The food is fast and it meets good quality food. The reason I give it a five star is because the place is very busy and does an incredible job of delivering their product to your table. Go there! Food is very inexpensive! Pretty servers. I love L George's! Their entire menu is off the chain! I've never ever ordered from their menu and been disappointed . The staff are courteous and experienced in their duties and expedient. George's Coney Islands in the Detroit area, including one imposter just a couple miles down Hwy 12, called "Z. George's Coney Island." What's up with that? Anywho, my expectation of a Coney Island was more like a fast food place, however L. George is really a diner complete with lunch counter. Like most of the other locally owned family diners in this area, it is owned by a Mediterranean family (Lebanese maybe?) and they have gyros, Greek salads and such on the menu along with all the traditional American diner fare. The breakfasts are friggin ginormous! My wife ordered the #1: 2-eggs, 6 strips of bacon, a huge mound of hash browns and toast for $4.80. That barely paid for all the groceries! I had the Gyro omelet with 4-eggs, gyro meat, onion, green pepper, tomatoes and lots of yummy feta cheese plus toast, all for just $5 and change. It was tasty (and huge). The waitress was fun and very efficient. This is an older location which once was a Hardee's. It still has the old orange booths. I have never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good, and service prompt, and it always seems clean to me. It's pretty much your average we'll run Coney Island style restaurant... No bells, whistles or surprises. Personally I get a bit put out being called "hon" or "sweety" by wait staff, but that's just a personal thing and something you gotta expect from this kind of place.
