We got a takeout order for work. Super quick, accurate, and tasty. Called in, by the time I got there a few minutes later, it was almost ready. Packed up with a smile and out the door in a flash. We got a variety. Salads, sandwich, omelet, and an order of chicken fingers with fries. All wete tasty, perfectly cooked, and generous portioned. We all really love the ranch they have here, too. We will be back for more tasty lunch takeout. read more

Friendly, unpretentious and nice restaurant with really tasty food. I tried the Coney dog for the first time and I was not disappointed. I ordered the coney special meal which is two coneys, fries and a beverage. It was more than enough food for one person. The coney was very good. The others dining in our group had wings, Greek salad and the onion rings. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The breakfast menu had made this restaurant a popular choice but the lunch and dinner is equally good. Excellent parking and lots of space inside to dine. The service was fast and we had food leftover. In addition to breakfast, they offer a nice comfort food dinner menu that includes meatloaf, grilled porkchops, traditional turkey dinner, chicken alfredo, lots of veterans more. They have something for everyone and it's worthy of a stop. read more

The woman with the black hoodie and white/blond hair in a bun, should not be working in food service. When we were given the wrong order, she angrily took it away brought back another wrong order and said you should have said that to begin with!? She also argued with someone picking up a carry out. The food was ok. The server was nice. The floor was filthy. read more

They have signs all over there windows demanding you leave a tip for carry out. One waitress went to whisper that I didn't leave a tip on my card (was going to give cash until I heard her). Second waitress gave me my food then asked, "Did you already pay?" I replied,"Yes. I did." Her immediate response was to laugh and say I don't believe you." When called out on what she said, she replied that she's just joking. Unprofessional. Don't waste your money here. The attitude stemmed from me not writing a tip on the receipt. Tip me for the gas I wasted at your establishment! read more

Stopped here for a nice breakfast with my daughter who ordered a waffle, after all our food was brought to the table, they waited 10 minutes after to inform us that a singular waffle would be another 15 minutes. After another 5 they told us we could now order waffles and so decided to place the order. After receiving the bill, not only was there no apology for the extreme wait, but they tried to double charge us for the 30 minute waffle. When asked to speak to a manager regarding the whole experience we were rudely meet by the "owner" who, in such distaste, told us that it was what it is was, and we were informed about the wait and we still needed to pay for the waffle. For an "owner" to talk to guests so negatively and be so blatantly disrespectful is a shame; but the emptiness inside should have been a clear sign of how she runs her business read more

Try and go in the morning, the service is far superior compared to that of the evening. I called in an order for chili cheese fries and a salad, show up 15 minutes after I call per when they said the order would be ready. Rudest waitress I have seen, short redhead girl in glasses, stands at the window and has a conversation with her co worker for 5 minutes before opening the window, then yells what's your name twice. I tell her and she disappears, never to be seen again. Eventually someone else comes to the window completely unconcerned about what going on and ask for my name again. Another 10 minutes passes and I finally get my food only to take it home and see my chili cheese fries are actually fries with a slice of cheese on them and no chilli .........on top of all this, the icing on the cake the lady had the audacity to ask if I wanted to tip.......... Stay classy L George's read more

The food is standard here, mostly similar to any other Coney Island. I always order a Greek salad when I come to a Coney Island. It taste the same as any Coney Island anywhere. Are used to come here maybe once a month when I worked at the plant, during launch. Sadly there's not a lot to eat around Michigan assembly Plant. Slim pickings actually. If this is one of the more average or better restaurants, it's not saying very much. Nonetheless I would come here about once a month and order either a turkey Reuben, chicken euro or a tuna melt. Always with a Greek salad, since it feels wrong to go to a Coney Island and not order a Greek salad here. The food was Average at best. I always wish that they had the hani Sandwich, I get a national, but not possible. How much relieved when I'm back in the office and away from the plant. Many more options in Dearborn than in Wayne. read more

Went in this morning to grab some breakfast. There were only 8 tables/booths taken out of at least 20 or more so it wasn't busy. We sat there for 15 minutes and not one of the 8 waitresses, bus boy, nor manager even came to our table once, even though passed by multiple times. I used to like this place, oh well they just lost my business ‍ Went to Keko's on Wayne rd instead and we got service as soon as we sat. And they are busier. Way to go L George's. read more

Wow! How many employees does this place have on a Sunday morning? I counted at least 50. This place is booming with excitement after a soccer game. Staff is very friendly and the food is plentiful. It's your typical Coney Island food so do not think you are getting five star food. The food is fast and it meets good quality food. The reason I give it a five star is because the place is very busy and does an incredible job of delivering their product to your table. Go there! Food is very inexpensive! Pretty servers. Fast service. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. read more

We eat here every so often and have been very happy with the food and service. Today, however was not the case. I had the day off, so I went there for breakfast. I order French toast, eggs, bacon and a side of bacon. Waitress was very unfriendly and said about 4 words to me. I get my food and my eggs have a slice of cheese slapped on them, even though I did not order with cheese. The Bacon was so overcooked that it fell apart when you touched it. Waitress never came back to my table to ask how it was or to refill my drink. When she came back to give me the bill, I told her about the bacon, and she replied "Wow". No offer to take it off the bill or have the cook get me some fresh bacon. I told her that there was cheese on my egg and that I didn't order it that was, but I went ahead and ate it. She replied "oh". Again, no offer to make it right. I paid for my food and even left a $5 cash tip on a $15 bill. Person cashing me out never asked how everything was. Such a shame, used to like going here, Lost my business. Does the owner even read these or do anything about them????? read more

Do you think you can locate a Coney Island in the Detroit area? Keep looking. This is not the best one, in fact probably the second worst one I have been to. I did not call this meeting. My boss calls me and says let's meet in between offic and plant to do some interviews. HE picks this place. First impressions are everything and this is the dirtiest coney/restaurant I have been in. The coney was cold, and wrinkly(old). Nothing worse than a wrinkly weiner. Chili, no taste. The water had floaties. Don't waist your time at this L George, there is one down the street just past 275 on the same road. Next time I pick the location. read more

Made the mistake of ordering from this L. George's, assuming that all had the same food. NOPE. The quality of the Canton L. George's is beyond superior to this one. It's not even comparable--have no idea why they have the same name. If you are in the area, make sure you order from Canton. read more

We stopped for breakfast this morning and was impressed. Very good food, awesome service and great prices. There are several L. George's Coney Islands in the Detroit area, including one imposter just a couple miles down Hwy 12, called "Z. George's Coney Island." What's up with that? Anywho, my expectation of a Coney Island was more like a fast food place, however L. George is really a diner complete with lunch counter. Like most of the other locally owned family diners in this area, it is owned by a Mediterranean family (Lebanese maybe?) and they have gyros, Greek salads and such on the menu along with all the traditional American diner fare. The breakfasts are friggin ginormous! My wife ordered the #1: 2-eggs, 6 strips of bacon, a huge mound of hash browns and toast for $4.80. That barely paid for all the groceries! I had the Gyro omelet with 4-eggs, gyro meat, onion, green pepper, tomatoes and lots of yummy feta cheese plus toast, all for just $5 and change. It was tasty (and huge). The waitress was fun and very efficient. This is an older location which once was a Hardee's. It still has the old orange booths. It's obvious they put their money in the food rather than fancy facilities. My kind of place! read more

We absolutly love this place. Its close to home, fast, cheap and the staff is great! the house omlette is a must try. Lately Ive been on a soup/sandwich kick, their soups are tasty and filling. The kids are always happy with what they get too. The coney dogs are also wonderful. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good, and service prompt, and it always seems clean to me. It's pretty much your average we'll run Coney Island style restaurant... No bells, whistles or surprises. Personally I get a bit put out being called "hon" or "sweety" by wait staff, but that's just a personal thing and something you gotta expect from this kind of place. Good, honest, blue collar food, and there's not a thing wrong with that. You'll never be "wowed" but you'll never leave disappointed. read more

Food and service are great. Been ordering coneys in and around Detroit since the'70's (anybody remember Lips in Detroit?), so I had to try the coney special and fries. Did not disappoint.
