We ordered Texas cheese fries and my meal came with chips and salsa. We all needed a refill after those jalapeños on our fries. We asked for refills and continued to wait for our drinks. Our meals came out and we still waited another 10 plus minutes for our drinks. I had to ask our server and she seemed frustrated that I asked a second time, but we had to wait to eat until we could get our drinks. Our food was great and the help from the others was outstanding. The food is so hit or miss. I had Chilis for the very first time a week ago and it was either too salty or too bland. I got the 3 for me, the sweet teas and lemonades are terrible. The burgers are mega bland while the chips and salsa are way too salty. I went a 2nd time a few days later and got the triple dipper, and replaced the big mouth sliders for southwestern eggrolls. The eggrolls were mega good, and so were the nashville mozzarella sticks and the honey chipotle crispers (tenders). I went again for a 3rd time and it was very disappointing. I got the triple dipper and the best tasting thing were the chips and salsa, but the nashville hot crispers and honey chipotle crispers were mega mega salty. The same went for the fried mozzarella sticks, like how on earth can their burgers be so bland, and the breading and coating of the fried foods be salty beyond reason. I could not force it down without drinking a gallon of water, and it wasn't even flavorful enough to enjoy. It was just pure saltiness. The vibes are ok, they could be worse but I'm indifferent, leaning more towards bad for that. In regards to the service, the servers I had so far seem very very neutral, they kinda look at me like I'm crazy half the time. Nonetheless, we were excited to open our food (after all, the menu promised over 2100 calories between the two-- a decent portion for two hungry guys). Imagine our surprise when we opened our food and found out that the nachos came with a total of 12 chips (crudely stacked on tinfoil-- see pic) and 3 Southwestern Egg Rolls. At best, our dinner in its entirety was maybe 1000 cal. Probably less. I haven't eaten here in years, but I'll give it a 5/5 for nostalgia. On the other hand, I haven't wanted to go there in years, so I'll give it a 0/5 for marketing and advertising. My mom loves the color scheme of chili's - reds, greens, and blacks. In fact, she liked the colors so much, she decided to paint our childhood house in those colors. So many great memories there back in the day. My mom even taught us what the "clean plate club" was when eating there - instilling my life long need to never let any food go to waste. But anyway, my mom liked the colors used to decorate Chili's and painted our house in the color scheme. I rode the bus to school while in elementary school. The closest I ever got to being in a fight on the bus was when an older kid from the neighborhood told me my home was "painted like a chili's". I ran in off the bus, and into my house, crying. Chili's is one of the few chain restaurants I actually enjoy going and sitting down in. They make some great margaritas and the food is always pretty good. My husband just had surgery so tonight we decided to try the to-go curbside pickup. Before I left the house I ordered for the family and then went to Kroger to pick up a prescription. When I arrived and texted chili's to let them know I was there, the food came right out and smelled delicious the whole ride home. It was an incredibly easy process. The food was fine but I specifically requested extra jalapeños, pico and sour cream with my quesadilla. I also added guacamole and paid extra for it. I received none of the requested extras and didn't even get the guacamole that I paid for. The containers I received the toppings that normally come with the quesadilla were tiny and to make matters worse, they was barely anything in them! The lettuce was brown and very unappetizing. Well, first, I would like to say this was the worst experience I had ever. First, our waitress Patricia helped only when she wasn't gossiping with the table over from ours. Secondly, my sister complained about something white floating in her water, and not only that, the acholic beverage was more fruit drink than alcohol. Next, I found plastic in my white cheese queso dip, and I told a manager, and he instally took the queso and asked if I wanted it replaced. Umm, sir, NO. Ok, when the food came, my sister food was cold and not sizzling on the sizzle plate. Then, when the check, our waitress didn't add the Togo order that I told her to add when we ordered our food. So I still have to pay extra. The only thing that was taken off from my order was my child's drink and the queso. Like I at least think that 1 or 2 meals should have been taken off plus the queso, and then I was told the chips and salsa were supposed to be free, and I was charged for that. The tablets to pay our bill didnt work. The tablets wouldn't let us split our orders. The orders weren't right and the prices were also not right. Took at least 25 minutes to pay our bill and sort out the problems. The bills still didn't get divided correctly. They did bring us cake and gift cards, but it was a horrible experience.
