Parking is great, atmosphere is trendy & the food is great! They have sports on & is a local spot. Let's get to the service now. The bartender B is absolutely amazing!

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It wasn't busy and we got seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive. The drinks are STRONG!! Not complaining though LOL. But one drink was good enough for me. The food was good, but overpriced. I would come back again, but for the drinks. Overall great experience!

When we were visiting we stopped in the Blind Pig and it was excellent. We had a great lunch and the atmosphere of the place was fun and cool. Their sandwiches are amazing. Very tasty and well priced as well. When we go back to Athens we will be partaking in more food from the Blind Pig.

We LOVE the food at Blind Pig. I've lived in Athens since 1990 and they have the best wings in town. We eat there frequently also. The fried mushrooms, salads, pasta salad, etc...everything is great. Tonight we sat in the bar area since it was packed. The loudest person in the place was the bartender, a male around 50, who consistently dropped F Bombs as he regaled his regulars with stories. He only stopped when he went out the side door to smoke, while the lady who sitting at the bar vaped and told her own profanity laden stories. I thought maybe it was a slip, but after the 8th or 9th F Bomb, I could notice others looking at him. He didn't seem to notice. Waitress was amazing as always. Food was delicious.

Kids tenders with chips and tots!! Kids meals come with 2 sides and a frisbee as the plate.. clever touch!!!

The food is very good, and the service is great-but the noise level is so loud it's almost impossible to have a conversation-you have to yell. I was watching the decibel level on an app on my cell phone -and I wondered what the effect is on the hearing of the staff that put up with this level of loudness for a whole shift of work hours. In fairness, the place was full, so maybe it's better when they are not busy. But, if I were the owner I would consider noise abatement/amelioration for the sake of the customers and the staff. Parking free on the site. Outdoor tables -but they are on the sun.

We used the Get in Line feature on the website, which was great to get quickly seated. The restaurant is very open and even has a cute bar in center with plenty of seats We started with getting some of the fresh juices, our sever was sweet enough to give us a sample of the Watermelon Wake Up which I thought was delicious! My friend's go to is the Morning Meditation, so she went with that. Next for food, we decided to share two plates (Strawberry Tres Leches French Toast & Smoked Salmon Roasted Vegetable Frittata). The food came out fairly quick and I'm glad we decided the split the plates, since the French toast doesn't come with any sides! Both were delicious, I will say I expect my French toast to be a little more on the sweeter side and the Strawberry Tres Leches was not. Without the whipped cream, I need syrup and did not taste the cinnamon that I associate with tres leches. Overall, I enjoyed visiting the new First Watch location and will most likely be back.

I stopped at Brett's Casual American with my service dog, Stormy. The server was excellent -- respectful, professional, and even asked before petting her. He mentioned he used to foster Dobermans growing up, and he clearly understood how to behave around a working dog. The issue was with the owner. He demanded to see "papers," insisted Stormy needed a vest with a visible ID tag, and told me I was "harassing his staff," even though the staff had been nothing but kind. For anyone who doesn't know: under the ADA, businesses cannot require documentation, certification, or specific gear. They can only ask two questions: Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability What task the dog is trained to perform What crossed the line for me was when he reached out and touched Stormy without permission. I walked out immediately. Touching a working service dog is not only inappropriate -- it interferes with medical equipment and puts the handler at risk. It felt like a personal violation, not just a misunderstanding. Most people in Athens are great about this, and I really appreciated the server who handled everything correctly. I'm sharing this so neighbors are aware of the proper etiquette and to help prevent situations like this in the future.

The food: I went with the Fried Chicken Blue Plate. Between the regular and the Nashville Hot, the Nashville was the winner--flavorful and moist without being overwhelming with the spice. Huge shoutout to my server for suggesting the brussel sprouts; that glaze is incredible and they were easily my favorite part of the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were unique--I'm still debating if I liked them or loved them. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste but on par with most restaurant cornbread. The mac & cheese wasn't bad, but also didn't do much for me like most restaurant mac & cheese. The cocktail: Do not sleep on Nana's Naissance. I wasn't sure what to expect from the ingredients, but it's like an elevated take on Rumchata. The service: I was seated at the bar and experienced a noticeable delay--a group that arrived well after me almost finished their meal before mine arrived. However, the waitress acknowledged the wait before I even had to mention it and made things right. I really appreciate that kind of proactive service. We're all human, and they handled the situation very professionally.
