yesterday was mine and my wife's 20th wedding anniversary. I left the field open to where she wanted to go. wing house hwy29 & fried green tomatoes. as we entered the young lady with black hair high school age , said any of these 2 tables , by the door, nope i wanted the table that could sit 6 if needed plus was the cushioned chairs after a 12 hour shift , & she said again the ones by the door , I leaned in and said tonight's our 20th wedding anniversary, then she scowled & said sit where you want !!! that's when the attitude turned on . btw the restraunt was NOT crowded , tables were open . we sat the owner lady ,i don't know her name, came over and I said i'm sorry its our 20th & she nodded , not the usual hello & such from her. FF fried green tomatoes arrived , lil waitress comes out n lays on table and made a 180 degree turn & gone.... no plate , no knife, no fork ok,,,, just 350 degree fried green tomatoes ,and expected to eat without utinsels the meal came and i asked for utensils , my wife left 3 of her 6 wings soaked in grease on the table when she left , in short we wont be back . we could have gone anywhere to eat but we chose winghouse , yea sometimes the juice isnt worth the squeeze for fried green tomatoes . tonight will be a redo at Longhorns , where i know customer service will be awesome from and OG former customer read more

Visited here last night. I ordered the 6 wings, three tenders and a side. It was amazing. The only thing is the hot sauce definitely is not hot at all but it does have a very good flavor. The hot honey garlic sauce is really good too. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Tuesday night but service was quick and our food was fresh, hot and delicious. We moved to hull from FL. We have been here about 8 months and just found out about this place 2 weeks ago. Omg! Food is always hot, fresh, wings are the BOMB! Best wings I think I have ever had! The sauces are amazing! Dry rub is amazing! The best part: the fried mushrooms OMG Delicious! Needless to say we have ordered to-go like 6 times in the past 2 weeks lol. Pretty good food sometimes. I'll say it's a 50/50 chance you won't get salty food. My Philly cheese steak is usually always salty. The lemon pepper wings are overly salty(lemon pepper is sour but they put too much) the cake is always great tho. Service at the take out was borderline rude like she doesn't want to be there. Good food. I called in an order for wings (lemon pepper & bbq) & a salad. I thought I said boneless wings but I got bone-in wings instead...oh well, still tasty. The wings were the size of my pinki finger and I have large hands...the price was almost $11. I can go to blazers down the road from here for regular sized wings and not appetizer ones. Wing House Grill is absolutely on point! I had a call in order for my family, my phone was going in and out of service and the lady on the other end was so nice and patient with me. They opened the to go boxes to show me the order and insure that it was correct, and it was spot on. The food was great! I got the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings, and the burger was great! The bun was what really sent it to the moon for me. It was buttered and looked like it was put on the flat top to add a little extra taste to it. My wife got the wings and the wings were really good was well. Service was excellent, the place was packed out when I went to pick up the food and the folks behind the counter never broke nervous, they were kind, smiling and making sure orders went out the door correctly. Best wings in the Athens area, hands down. We had take out the first time we went, and wings sometimes can get soggy on the 10 minute ride home but these didn't. The second time, we dined in and the experience was even better. Everything is fresh and made in house, the owner and staff are very friendly, but it all pales in comparison to how delicious the wings are. Over 15 years in restaurant experience between my husband and I, which means we are picky! Wing House does not disappoint. Have only tried the wings on take out. The taste of the medium and lemon pepper wings were very good. The only issue I had with them is they are premium priced but we're very small wings.
