    Cheese curds
    Kris L.

First off we visited the new Monroe location and they were having a "soft opening". It was busy most of the day and by the time we stepped in we were able to sit at the bar as we walked in. The vibe was 90's grungish industrial theme. They had some clever names on their products and they were some cool mixtures. If you want to try something you have not tried they will provide it. We tried the cheese curds as a starter and they were decent but the rosemary was strong in the herb mix, it's also the same herb mic that comes on the fries. We also had the burger with the jalapeños and pork and it was delicious. A couple beverages and the bill was right along with everything else.

Read the reviews about how great the food was and decided to come here and try it for lunch. It did not disappoint! The wings were great as were the potato salad. I also had the pineapple upside down cake which was kinda small but tasty. My only complaint is the price seems a bit high. But still very good. Service was great too. Parking is a little limited but that's pretty standard for the area.

I had eaten at this location about a year ago when I was up in Athens for work. I was in the area and came back today for lunch. It was just as good as I remember. The service is outstanding (thanks Sarah) and all the food is outstanding. Great little local place with a cool vibe. Today I have the salad and it really hit the spot.

Food was really good. Got the filthy fries that tasted great! Came out a little cold but did not change it from tasting good. Service was super friendly and welcoming. Great environment to grab with friends.

Servers are nice. Disappointed with queso and chips. Fish batter was thick and not fully cooked and greasy. But herb fries and jalapeño tartar sauce was a nice touch.

Front of the restaurant great outside seating.

Food was amazing had the hot wings they make them with good quality chicken and the hot wing sauce was tasty. Clean inside and staff was really nice it close to the house so great place for a good sit down meal I will be back for sure!

Stopped in for lunch last week and I have to say their chipotle bbq wings are absolutely amazing! Service was fast and the restaurant was covered in cool stickers and bottles of alcohol. My daughter loved the tomato soup and grilled cheese. The bacon on the BLT was very thick and delicious. The buttermilk pie was creamy and delicious.

Visiting from out of state. Randomly chose this place on held. Great beer selection for flights. The wife inhaled her house burger before I could get halfway through my Ruben. Both were very satisfying. I would come back.

Filty fries with pork. Soooo good!

I'm a little late in writing my review. My husband and I came here for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated right away. Our server was a bit quirky, but she was great with being attentive. The food came out quick and was delicious. I ordered the filthy fries with pork. Wow! Sooo good and flavorful. I ordered a margarita and it "meh." They have mainly craft beer and standard cocktails. The only specialty cocktails were fall flavors, which isn't my preference. Overall, I would come back to dine in again.

This place is to die for! I loveee the french dip. The fries are the best in Athens. The service has always been efficient and kind. Make sure you don't leave a shitty tip (you never should), but this place has a board with shitty tips they've gotten. I love reading it. These servers deserve to be tipped, as do they anywhere else. The restaurant itself is very laid back and pretty casual. However, the food is worth some good money. Highly recommend!

Handcut fries were plentiful but thought were overly seasoned. Dipping sauce was .75 extra. We shared the generous slice of whipped peanut butter pie, drizzled with fudge. It was an old-school street meter, thankfully it accepted credit cards. We took a short walk across the street and noticed a few outdoor tables in front, before heading inside. We entered and saw the sign instructing to seat yourself. We sat at a high top table pretty centrally located. The whole interior felt like we were transported to a British pub. Our server quickly came over with menus and waters, giving us a few minutes to review the options. We needed some time to review the menu. The beer list was massive; drafts as well as cans and bottles spread across multiple pages. While they don't offer traditional beer flights, they do serve smaller 11 ounce pours. Wifey ordered a couple of those: a Harp Premium Lager and a Bavak Super Wit from the draft list. I went with a bottled Pilsner Urquell and later tried an 11 ounce taster of "Escape Button," an IPA from local Athens brewery, Athentic. We enjoyed all of our choices. The food menu featured classic pub options, but also a few that you wouldn't expect like a Curry Chicken Bowl that I almost ordered but instead I went with the Turkey Club sandwich with no tomatoes and a side salad. Wifey ordered Chicken tenders with french fries. The food took a little longer than expected to come out and when it arrived my sandwich still came out with tomatoes. I did not make a big deal about it and picked them out. My sandwich and salad were actually very good and Wifey said her meal was also very good. While hanging out in the dining room we noticed some original artwork near the bar that we found out was to depict the history of wine. There's also an upstairs area that was blocked off during our visit, and a sign mentioned that live music starts at 10 PM. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch time visit to The Globe and would definitely return the next time we are in town.

I started with the goat cheese pesto bruschetta for appetizers. The flavors paired well together and it was a decent size. The fried shrimp tacos were the best. Shoutout to our waitress for that suggestion! They were crispy, large shrimp pieces, and flavored nicely. We also got the fried fish tacos and the ribeye tacos which were very underwhelming. Unfortunately, the entire taco platter was extremely salty. Even though we drank water throughout, we both left feeling super parched due to how salty it was. This place has potential but I'm not sure I would come back. I had high hopes for 1910 Public House, especially after a trusted friend raved about their…read moreexperience there. Unfortunately, my recent Sunday visit for a takeout order left me thoroughly disappointed, and nearly $50 lighter with very little to show for it. The Food: I ordered two items: the pimento cheese fritters and the shrimp and grits. The pimento cheese fritters were, in a word, average. They looked and tasted like standard fried cheese balls--nothing visually impressive, nothing exciting about the flavor, and at $16 (or $4 a piece), I expected something with a little more creativity or punch especially at entree pricing for an appetizer. It was just pimento cheese, deep fried. That's it. Just as literal as could be. The shrimp and grits was the bigger disappointment. At $26, I expected a hearty, well-portioned dish. What I got was four average-sized shrimp and barely any andouille sausage--and I mean barely. It was just one thin slice of smoked sausage, cut in half, and placed in the entire dish. That was it. The portion felt light the moment I picked up the bag, and once I got to my friend'd and opened it, that feeling was confirmed. I will say, as an avid Yelp user I did my homework before ordering. I looked through photos on their page and noticed that their Shrimp & Grits looked completely different across three separate photos. When I asked the staff about it when I arrived, they mentioned the menu rotates every twelve weeks, which is fine, but the inconsistency made it hard to know what I was actually ordering. Atmosphere: I didn't dine in, but from what I could see, the space seemed nice. It's located in a charming, up-and-coming part of Lilburn, and the staff I interacted with were friendly and pleasant. So there's that. Final Thoughts: This meal was definitely not worth $50. It wasn't worth the drive, and honestly, it wasn't worth the effort. The food was underwhelming, the portions were stingy for the price, and the value just wasn't there. My friend loved the place, so maybe they caught a good day, but based on my experience, I don't know if I'll personally be returning. If I'm being honest, if I wasn't so tired then and it wasn't as far as it was, I would've just driven back, returned the food, and gotten a refund.
