Sat down and waited for 30 minutes. They sat us at a wobbly table that was right by the kitchen with people going in and out. Thought it was weird they sat us at the worst possible table when there were several open tables available. Then, we weren't helped in 30 minutes, no drinks, not even menus. Came here after a Bulldog game. This is a hip and busy spot especially on game days, which can be expected in any college town. They offer many beers on tap, bottled beer and everything else that comes with a full bar. The food offerings can be considered pub or bar food. We had a group of 4 and each ordered a few things so that we can give this place a fair shake. The only reason there is a missing is due to the fact that our mushrooms were burnt (the breading was burnt but the mushroom itself was ok). The staff was friendly and attentive. Though our waitress was not a person who drinks she was still able to suggest my wife the best beer to try (Automatic, IPA). How she did that idk but kudos to her for knowing! First time here, food was good. My mojito tasted like dirty coins. It was obvious the bartender doesn't have a lot of experience. Our waitress was nice but she "auctioned off" food. Not a big deal but it's nice when your server knows where the food is going and doesn't have to guess on every single meal. The food runner needed a little more experience in table manners. My friends at the table were asking for sauces and it was an awkward interaction of him running away from the table. #1 Tip: come for the appetizers & the drinks, eh on the main dishes. This is the second time we got cheddar bites and they are sooo yummy - mini mozzarella sticks. The fried pickles were cut up spears rather than hamburger chips which I really liked! Served with a side of ranch. The southern burger TBH was really mediocre. I probably wouldn't get it again. The waffles fries however are really good and have an interesting seasoning with a little kick. The caesar salad with chicken was a typical caesar salad. They seem to be really understaffed because all of the servers were scrambling around, but despite that, we didn't have slow service. It also could have been because we went on trivia night (which is super fun, BTW, highly recommend), so, no hate. Anyway, I would come back for the apps & trivia, but not for the dinner. read more

I really enjoyed the Local 706!! My friends said their Buffalo chicken was too spicy, but I got the Asian and pollo tacos and was going Hamm. I also got a huge $5 margarita which was so good!! We decided to come here for an early dinner. The place was a little loud and the heaters outside didn't work very well. The food was good, but it was kind of cold when I got here so they gave us two extra basket a face. The only other complaint that I have is that it took a little while to get out. Overall I recommend coming here at a peculiar time so that it's not busy. read more

Met a colleague for lunch around 12 today. The restaurant had a nice crowd but the server was quick to come take our drink order. We split the 16 wings to start, half Buffalo and half lemon pepper. I would definitely recommend the lemon pepper, the Buffalo weren't bad, I just prefer a little more heat. We both had hamburgers, I had the Southern which had pimento cheese, fried green tomatoes and their special sauce. Let me start by saying the beef on the burger was amazing! It is more of a "smash burger" than patty but you get two patties. I'm pretty sure they use a high quality of meat because my colleague had their burger plain and also agreed the flavor of the patties were amazing. This place is also a great place to watch a football game, lots of TVs and seating outside. Definitely will be back after work to try their cocktails. Went there on a night where there were people, but I wouldn't say busy though (Wednesday night) My daughter ordered a salad, I got a pimento cheese sandwich. That took 40 minutes. My sandwich was burned and hard. Her salad had onions even though she requested they be left off and her chicken was also burned. Server was nice, but never refilled my water in the hour we were there. Just apologized for slow service. The fried pickles were good. That kept them at 2 stars. We won't be back. My wife had the grilled pimento cheese and bacon and it was very good and hot also. Do not order the Greek Spinach balls however. Very salty, not hot and frankly not very tasty.
