One of the best places to eat in Athens. I enjoyed their lamb curry. Great flavor even with the shreds of lamb in the curry. Very flavorful. And here is a plus, you can have your pup join you on the patio. The servers were friendly and accommodating.

Loved this little British pub! Felt like I was in London as I was here on a Sunday morning during a Premier League match. They have about 12-15 beers on tap including Guinness and some other UK beers as well as some local. I ordered the typical fish & chips since I may never get back and it was perfect. Fries were so good just how I like them, shoestring style. Fish was perfectly flaky and great breading. I put some malt vinegar on and it was delicious. Highly recommend

Best fish and chips in Athens!!! The service is amazing they are always super quick and extremely kind. The atmosphere is amazing especially for a soccer game. I will miss this place so much when I move and will come back just for it. Nothing beats a cold beer and some fish and chips!

We were very disappointed with the meal after seeing all the good reviews. The bangers were burnt, the curry was so spicy that we couldn't eat it (and we both really like very spicy food!). The fish were just ok.

Awesome bar for some comfort food and fried bar snackies. Obviously I came here after a tough workout for a drink and the snackies. I enjoy the bar life here and the service in general. Perfect spot for tipsy eating! SLAM THE BANGERS AND MASH :)

Purely by accident, my friend and I ended up at The Royal Peasant and discovered that they make the absolute best Fish N Chips in all of Georgia! I've tried this dish in lots of places, and elsewhere it's usually either too soggy or too doughy. Here, the completely understand what's required, and do the dish with style and precision :-) This is a nice place to hang out and grab a bite, but if you're a Fish N Chips fan, you owe it to yourself to come check it out!

Yesterday was Creature Comforts Brewing Company's 12th Anniversary. We have lived here since 2016 and have NEVER missed this party. Yesterday was no exception. I like to be first in line so I will show up early to get a table. We came prepared. I had charcuterie, chocolate and grapes. We were greeted warmly and checked on frequently. We saw ppl that we know. Beer World needs you. It is imported that you support your local craft brewery. In this economic downturn, it would be terrible if this independent brewer of excellent craft beer was not available to us. Show your love. Tip big. You will not regret it.

Store sold the known Creature Comforts brands of beer -including our favorite seasonal milk stout Kona Buni, logoed shirts and accessories and my personal favorite coffee liqueur - one of their newer products. The man who worked the register area also provided samples of products. He educated on content, processes to create and alcohol volume. There was never any pressure to purchase, just the opportunity to sample and experience the brand. It did lead to a purchase that was aided by the positive interaction from this gentleman and the ability to sample beers on tap in the larger dine-in area of Creature Comforts. I did enjoy the beers too. The outdoor area looked inviting, and will likely experience the next time I'm in Athens. Our visit to Creature Comforts was a great way to celebrate my Florida Gators men's basketball win over GA on their home turf!

It was an old-school street meter, thankfully it accepted credit cards. We took a short walk across the street and noticed a few outdoor tables in front, before heading inside. We entered and saw the sign instructing to seat yourself. We sat at a high top table pretty centrally located. The whole interior felt like we were transported to a British pub. Our server quickly came over with menus and waters, giving us a few minutes to review the options. We needed some time to review the menu. The beer list was massive; drafts as well as cans and bottles spread across multiple pages. While they don't offer traditional beer flights, they do serve smaller 11 ounce pours. Wifey ordered a couple of those: a Harp Premium Lager and a Bavak Super Wit from the draft list. I went with a bottled Pilsner Urquell and later tried an 11 ounce taster of "Escape Button," an IPA from local Athens brewery, Athentic. We enjoyed all of our choices. The food menu featured classic pub options, but also a few that you wouldn't expect like a Curry Chicken Bowl that I almost ordered but instead I went with the Turkey Club sandwich with no tomatoes and a side salad. Wifey ordered Chicken tenders with french fries. The food took a little longer than expected to come out and when it arrived my sandwich still came out with tomatoes. I did not make a big deal about it and picked them out. My sandwich and salad were actually very good and Wifey said her meal was also very good. While hanging out in the dining room we noticed some original artwork near the bar that we found out was to depict the history of wine. There's also an upstairs area that was blocked off during our visit, and a sign mentioned that live music starts at 10 PM. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch time visit to The Globe and would definitely return the next time we are in town.

The food: I went with the Fried Chicken Blue Plate. Between the regular and the Nashville Hot, the Nashville was the winner--flavorful and moist without being overwhelming with the spice. Huge shoutout to my server for suggesting the brussel sprouts; that glaze is incredible and they were easily my favorite part of the plate. The mashed sweet potatoes were unique--I'm still debating if I liked them or loved them. The jalapeño cornbread was a bit sweet for my taste but on par with most restaurant cornbread. The mac & cheese wasn't bad, but also didn't do much for me like most restaurant mac & cheese. The cocktail: Do not sleep on Nana's Naissance. I wasn't sure what to expect from the ingredients, but it's like an elevated take on Rumchata. The service: I was seated at the bar and experienced a noticeable delay--a group that arrived well after me almost finished their meal before mine arrived. However, the waitress acknowledged the wait before I even had to mention it and made things right. I really appreciate that kind of proactive service. We're all human, and they handled the situation very professionally.
