They served me a hot Plate but the food was ice cold . Second plate they gave me felt like they warmed it up in the microwave again . Not a good venue for large parties. They are not good at accommodating large groups and do not give accurate wait times. One hour wait estimate became two hours and similar to other comments, they are unable to give you estimates of time, rather they just say they are waiting for people to leave and as soon as they do they will text you when the table is available. We have lived in the valley for 11 years now (moved from Mexico) and haven't found a place that was good. We found it today! Big portions, almost double compared to other places and the unique and delicious food combinations are worth the drive. The space is clean and big. Our experience was great, our server was friendly! Honestly was so excited to check this spot out. Especially being from San Diego. Was so let down. I mean nobody wants to get their food before their drinks. They don't give you an actual receipt they just want you to agree to the extra tipping on their hand held device. the tip was 13.54 and 9.45 for my sisters tab. we didn't see the tip so we tipped them again. We went for a girls brunch on Saturday with high expectations as the Instagram reels and every other social media post for this place has made it seem like seem like such a fun new spot! Upon entering, my friends were told that the wait was an hour and a half so we were going to stop at the bar in the meantime, when I went up and asked the host if it was open seating and if we could sit there, they let us know " ya that's fine but we're about to call you in two minutes so it's a waste of time really."Which was very confusing since my other friends were just told that it was over an hour and a half and then when I went up immediately we get seated. The service was absolutely awful. We weren't greeted for over 25 minutes there and then when they finally come, they took all of our orders at once and we had to wait another 30 to 45 minutes for our drinks.!! The shots taste like they have absolutely no alcohol- BEWARE the shots come with ice in them and it literally made multiple ladies choke. I ordered waffle as a snack which took over 45 minutes just to come out cold and soggy. When we finally closed out, we were all so disappointed and realize that they had added automatic gratuity for our table of five I went to look at the bottom of the menu to see if that's their standard and unfortunately, it said that they add 18% gratuity for table 6 and up so I'm not sure why we were actually charged 18% for service like that. The staff there was not organized at all ! letting bigger parties who came after pass before parties who came first. holding tables for large parties for longer than they should until the whole party arrived instead of letting parties pass. you would ask about wait they would say this table is yours but once clean sit someone else then say the next table was yours and it would continue nonstop. over 4 parties complained while I was there waiting besides that the food was actually pretty good i higley recommend the molcajete mar y Tierra. great place to eat if you're willing to wait a very long time. read more

Honestly I am very happy & impressed with todays food . My family & I have been looking for a restaurant with good music, vibes, & authentic Mexican flavors. Coming from south Central LA, This is one of the best places I've tried in the city of Mesa, AZ. So bummed that I didn't take pictures of our food! (That's how good it tasted)! Saw this establishment on TikTok and had to try it. First and foremost, TikTok completely sold this restaurant on customer service and ambiance. #1 complaint, our server was worst than horrible. Was not friendly, helpful or talkative. Would leave and not come back for extended periods of time. Did not seem to care about the product he was selling or the brand he was representing. I had a terrible experience at this place. When we walked in there were a few tables open in the restaurant but the bar top was completely open. We asked if we could sit in the bar area for happy hour and they said yes, that's where happy hour is offered. We were sat and that's about it... 10 minutes later we were given chips and salsa and then thats it. Never had a server approach us or a manager or busser. Yet there were plenty of people working walking around at a leisurely pace. Was super excited to try happy hour bc it was a short walk from our house but we couldn't even get drinks. People looked at us and just smiled or stared off. The couple that sat down before us had drinks and everything. It was extremely disappointing. Also as an Afro latina I appear black but I was born speaking Spanish so I understood all the rude things that were being said as we left. Racism is still alive in 2024 but I thought better of an up and coming Mexican restauran. Will never eat there and I recommend my POC to not eat there as well. I've been on a mission to find some good mariscos and this restaurant did not disappoint! The food is pricey compared to similar restaurants, but very worth it. The aguachiles were really spicy but they were so darn good that I kept wanting to eat them even though my eyes were teary and my nose was running. The cocktel de camarón was lacking avocado (an important ingredient!) but was still one the best I've had. I love the restaurant's setup because you can have two very different experiences based on where you are seated. There was live music in one room, which gave it a very special, intimate, put-on-your-nice-dress-to-go-eat-mariscos vibe. The other room had a bar with TVs playing live sports, which gave it a more casual yet still special vibe. We asked to sit in the bar area and I loved the experience! I munched on yummy food and sipped on THE BEST piña colada as I watched the soccer game. There's so much on their menu that I will definitely be back for more! read more

We literally waited for about 10-15minutes, until we asked if someone could take our order the waiter approached and asked nicely who was helping and we said no one had come by, she look surprised so she took our order since they didn't even give us water or anything. Food wise, did t get our order right second person came out and gave us someone's else ride and insisted it was ours, when our order finally came it was all wrong with the wrong ingredients we had asked due to allergies. Our waiter came to us with attitude and asked ok now what's wrong ? So i politely asked if we could get what we had originally asked for. This was my first time here at Mariscos. I went there because it had good ratings. I tried twice to call but no one answers the phone. I wanted to order take out but no answer. When I got there telling the waitress I wanted to order a to go dinner. She looked at me annoyed and told someone else to help me. Then the second waitress asked what I needed. Told her I want to order a to go dinner, but this time in Spanish. She looked at me and told me to wait. Then she sent another waitress to help. I started getting annoyed now. Thinking either they can't hear because of the mask or they don't understand my Spanish. Finally the waitress took my order and asked me if I had called in the order. I told her no! I'd been searching for a good Mexican food breakfast place with more upscale, comfortable decor. El Rey finally became that spot. Classy, newly renovated dining area with comfortable, padded bench/chair seating. The food was also awesome. Tortillas were fresh. Typical Mexican breakfast items available like chorizo, nopales, frijoles, thick sliced bacon, and eggs made exactly how I wanted. Breakfast Molcajete was amazing. Even the area where located is going through a transformation that improves the comfort of their patio dining. This place is my new goto for breakfast, even if it is 15mi from home. read more
