To Whom It May Concern, I recently brought my wife's 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in for diagnosis of a flashing airbag light. We dropped off the vehicle late Thursday night. By the end of Friday, we had not received any information regarding the issue. On Sunday afternoon, we called and were informed that the suspected problem was with the driver's side curtain airbag, with an estimated repair cost of approximately $1,500. On the same day, we visited the dealership to explore the 2024 Nissan Pathfinders. We indicated that our vehicle was in the shop and that we were merely browsing. After a test drive, the dealership collected our information for a potential purchase. For context, we have purchased three Nissans from this dealership and have generally had positive experiences, aside from one finance manager. By Monday, we had still not received an update about the repair. On Tuesday, facing challenges with sharing a vehicle, we called for an update. We were then informed that the issue was not the driver's side curtain airbag but the driver's side seat airbag, with the repair cost now increased to $3,200. Given our immediate need for the car, my wife chose not to proceed with the repair. We retrieved the vehicle, paying only for the diagnostic fee. Subsequently, I conducted my own research and found several YouTube videos on clearing the airbag code. I also came across a Nissan service bulletin detailing the code-clearing process. After inspecting the vehicle's wiring and connectors, which showed no damage, I followed the code-clearing procedure, successfully turning off the airbag light, which has remained off. Brought my Nissan Titan in because the driver side window was stuck down, in a rain storm. They charged me $205 to diagnose it, and quoted another $684 to replace the window motor. I want to start this off by saying, we love this car. But this car has been the worst purchase we ever made and let me explain why. When we first went to this dealership, we picked 3 cars in our price range. First car was sold to someone else as we were filling out the paperwork. The other 2 we picked we were told we didn't qualify for. When we were leaving, our sales representative brought out a polished turd (could literally see where the car was falling apart, had way higher miles than we were looking for, was pretty much a slap to the face.) And wanted $14k for it. About a week later we got a call about a car that they already ran the credit for and told us would work out perfectly. Send the wrong pictures to us of a car we actually wanted and then we come to find the car we have now. We bought this car for the sole reason of it being a 6 speed manual and it looking semi sporty. $18,000 for it, we found it fair. We also bought a warranty with it, told it was factory but turns out it was extended. No big deal, it's 4 years of coverage. Well that's not the case. I was sent a notice in the mail that the warranty was no longer valid. The car was purchased in March, by the end of April I was already bringing it back to be fixed. Ac compressor went out, they told me that it would be $1,900 to fix and the car would be out a week. They sent this car to their sister location, the Hyundai dealer. I spent hours arguing on the phone with whoever to get it clear that the warranty would cover this repair. We paid $100 for the deductible and they finished it the next day. Went we bought this car, we were promised that the paint would be fixed as it was minor at the time. They refuse to fix the paint, they told me that they were not reliable for what the sales rep promised if it wasn't documented. It gets better. In June, we had to travel to south Dakota and back. The wind ripped the back bumper off! Out of nowhere and almost made someone else wreck. When I go back to the dealer they tell me that it's my problem but we found out why this has happened. We took the car to a collision shop upon our insurance request and the professional asked us if we have had been in a wreck on the passenger front and side. Of course, we hadn't. They told us that from inspection of vin numbers on the parts were indeed, aftermarket. They looked at the back core support and spotted once again, not original. Hand written vin number on the support frame. I gave them the picture of the id of the back bumper and it wasn't original. The panels replaced do not match the rest of the car. This dealer has left us with thousands to pay if we want this car to be in the condition is should have been purchased in. They refused to give us anything we signed until August after threatening to show up and cause a problem. Our collision professional advised that we turn it in as a lemon and go after the money we spent. We don't want to lose the car as we love it dearly. I just wish that this was taken care of correctly. They never truly inspected this car when they sold it to us that day they received it. Bragged that they received the car from the line so they knew everything about it. I have a copy of the intake inspection paperwork, nothing was marked. No indication of the paint pealing, damage to the undercarriage, body panels not matching the original paint. Nothing. Threw some tires on it and an oil change and flipped our whole world upside down with thousands to pay to have a nice car. In the photos, you will see major paint peeling, and if you study the front passenger door (right) compared to the back passenger door (left) front passenger door is indeed darker than the original paint that is on the back passenger door. read more

Went with my 80/something mother to help her purchase a car and had a very good experience. Sales force is nice and (relatively) low key. We worked with Rick and he had a suggestion about what we might try, which turned out to be what we got! They had a lot of models we could test drive and my mom went home with a new car and is super happy with it. To be a 5 star experience, I would have reduced the time on the sales part - we felt it could have gone faster and there was a little bit of pressure for the extra coatings etc in the finance part. Chico Hyundai recently acquired their own space up the road from where they were (when they were Chico Nissan-Hyundai). I had a great experience here. I'd been car hunting for 3 months and finally purchased the Ioniq plug-in hybrid. I've only had it a month, so I'll do an update next year. The staff: I worked with Kirill and Tyler. They've been extremely helpful, even in the weeks since I made the purchase. If I have any questions, they're always available to help. The deal: They're contracted with Costco! If you don't have a membership it's worth it to get one just once so you can get the Costco price. Plus, since it's a plug-in, I am getting 6K back (CA rebate and federal tax credit). The process was about as low-pressure as it gets. The car: Super comfortable, great features -- just a really nice car. I did purchase the top trim level, so I'm feeling pretty spoiled. I plug it in daily, so my first 29 miles are all-electric. I've taken the car out of town twice (again, I've only had it a month). I've put 1100 miles on it and still have a half a tank of gas. I'm getting something like 350 mpg. When in electric mode, it's like being on a magic carpet. If you need to accelerate quickly (uphill onramp) the hybrid engine kicks in seamlessly. Unlike a lot of hybrids, this one has spunk. I feel completely safe and have plenty of power to get out of tight situations. When coasting or braking, energy is regenerated back to the battery. The warranty: Lifetime powertrain warranty at Chico Hyundai, and 5 years bumper-to-bumper, which I extended to lifetime as well (for a fee). I also got the Cilijet coating interior and exterior, so those are covered for 10 years (reapplied at 5 years at no additional charge). You won't find a better warranty. If you're on the fence about buying a plug-in, let me reassure you. Install a 240V plug if you don't have one (like the plug for an electric dryer). I did NOT fork out $600 for a charging station; I bought my charger on Amazon for under $200 and it works perfectly. The car charges in about 2.5 hours. Once you're out of electric miles, it starts operating as a hybrid. Easy peasy. A full charge costs about $1.60 on your electric bill, so you do the math. Download one of the gazillion apps that tell you where all the public charging stations are. I was in Davis this week and turned out the parking garage had ten EV charging stations. Free power is fun. That said, if you have solar, you win. That's all I've got! Do it! read more

My sales person tried to quote me 400$ insurance, they continued to tell me I could pick up the car "the next day" every single day and when I was finally able to get the car their was a secret 500 deposit that I was not told about, they said they would hold my check for me until I had the 500(which no one told me about until I signed the paperwork for the car) then when I was finally given the keys my sales person let me know that the car was in the shop ‍ now that I finally have the car I realized it's not registered and has no temporary registration and I cannot register it because I don't have the title yet. Although my mom has been going to this dealership since I was a kid, I was never a fan. I actually went in back in 2015 to buy a brand new truck. Right off the bat, I felt a little judged and a little taken back by the salesperson, lightweight insinuating that vehicles I was interested in might be out of my price range (ended up buying a 2015 Chevy at Wittmeier.) Fast forward to last year, my mom had purchased a brand new Versa the year prior and was experiencing battery issues on a car less than 2 years old. I was with her when her car died, so I insisted we go to the dealership and square the problem away. They actually tried to make her pay for the problem that her BRAND NEW car was experiencing. I was livid, they ended up dealing with it after arguing. My mom, still, a very loyal customer to this dealership.... Okay, so for the last couple weeks my friend has fallen in love with a Nissan vehicle and has been in contact with these guys about it. We actually went there together and AGAIN I felt like they were not working with her and her wishes. The conversations are passive aggressive and none like any dealership I've been to. They want their money, if you aren't ready to buy today- they don't really care to pursue good customer care or service. He was super nice to work and understood how the car buying process works. When buying a car we were trying to get the best deal possible. The amount we were putting down was more than half of the price of the car. There was a fee added along with the taxes that my dad was haggling. Then when we would not agree which was being done in a professional manner- Steve Z. came out of his office waving the paper in our faces saying this is the all he can do and that can we get out if we do not agree. Chico Nissan sold us not 1 but 2 bad trucks. The first truck which was a Toyota Tacoma had problems weekly. We had to bring the truck back within 24 hours for repairs, yes Nissan brought the truck in to fit it, but after the 2nd time they refused to give us a rental car. Finally after a few months of owning the truck, the motor mounts went bad and the transmission went out. After fighting with them they agreed to take the truck back, but only if we purchased another vehicle from them. They refused to budge on the price and low and behold the truck was in their shop after 2 weeks of owning it. We purchased the extra warranty and Chico nissan- Ryan Sutton himself- refuses to fix the truck that they sold us with problems. We took it to a different mechanic and found out the head lights were taped in place and it's going to cost hundreds just to fix the head lights. There is thousands of dollars worth of things wrong with the truck. Nissan knows about it and has know about it since the first week we purchased the truck. They refuse to fix any of it. I brought my Nissan in for a second time for an electrical issue that they were sure they had previously fixed. We were told that a week would be plenty of time to fix it but that turned into a month. We were repeatedly told that it would be just a couple more days. We called every couple only days to be given the run around and eventually told just a couple more days. When we were told it would be ready by a certain day at the latest we went to the dealership after nobody had answered our call. We were told we would need a new battery; we would not have needed the battery if they had fixed the electrical problem the first time we were at the shop so I told them it was their fault the battery went bad. They agreed that the electrical problem they said they had fixed was what caused the battery failure but I still needed to pay for a new battery. A week went by and we were told the car was fixed and ready to go. We were told the car had also been washed. We move everything from the rental to our car to see that it is definitely not ready or washed. We get in the car and there is a piece of the car on the floorboard and there are multiple dash lights on that were not there before. They immediately get their computer to check the codes and cannot diagnose the issue. They now want to charge us for the rental car because our warranty will not pay for the absurd amount of time the dealership had our car. We overheard the service manager tell the advisor that it was not his problem that the warranty would not cover the rental and it was the customers responsibility. They eventually covered the rental and got the car fixed in a few days. I would trust Jiffy Lube more than these people. read more

I am only sorry that I have to leave any stars. I have been taking my car here since I purchased it in 2013 and I am so happy that the last time I EVER have to go there was last Friday. I LOVE my Tucson and since I am buying a new car thought I would get another Hyundai but I am so over this place. First of all I can recognize bull when I hear it so you would think they would mark me in the computer and stop the crap. I have been told so many lines and I always say, really? Do you hear yourself? Every time a part was needed to make a warranty repair it had to be ordered after they finally figured out what was wrong. I purchased the cargo cover after market and it broke, I called and was told I had to bring it in to show them before they could ORDER another one. One time all I wanted was touch up paint, took 3 days. I asked them what the heck did they keep in that back room. When I was there Friday a salesman came in and tried to get me to upgrade and I told him why I would not be buying a Hyundai and he agreed that the service department has issues. I've done my own mechanical work in the past and I had a pretty good idea this was a sticking IAC valve, so I specifically requested they check this while checking for anything else. They didn't. 3 days later (after telling 3 service people to check the IAC) they still hadn't done it and instead told me they were going to reprogram the electronics so it would idle better (addressing the symptom but not the problem). And it probably would've negatively affected my mileage too. They turned what should have been a simple 1 hour diagnostic into a 3 day long ordeal. Save your time and money and take your vehicle to another shop or dealership. Wish I could get my 3 days back from them. read more
