Had a very pleasant experience here! My husband and I have ordered take out from here once and really liked it so we decided to come back again and eat at the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by the nicest man when we walked in. You order first at the counter. The guy taking our order gave some great recommendations. I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I didn't love it but the chicken itself was good. The hot sauce recommended with it was spicy good. The fries had the perfect crisp and seasoning and I wish I had ordered more. My husband ordered the Doritos burrito off the secret menu. It has so many different flavors that all tie together. Very generous portion. Had a decent, but not phenomenal meal from here. Ordered the Chicken Tenders & Fries, which are supposedly house made. I don't think I've ever seen a singular, family owned shop specializing in Chicken Tenders, so I was intrigued. The Tenders were okay, they needed some more seasoning, but they were definitely crispy. The fries were a bit on the soggy side and were salty. I got the meal which was a whole chicken with two "large" sides. Including tax $53!The chicken was big and would easily feed three maybe four depending on your people. Sides barely fed two. We walked in, and the lady at the front counter was super friendly. No, she was not the owner. She was a worker who enjoyed serving people. She offered suggestions as to what to order. The seasoning they use for the chicken they also use on their fries. The seasoning is good. The place was clean, and the ambiance was nice. Since they cook everything to order, it took a few minutes for our food. In fact, our food was still hot when we reached our hotel! They did a great job packing everything! Everything tasted good. EVERYBODY LISTEN!! JUST EAT HERE!!! Oh my goodness this place is SO good. First of all, the guy working the front was super personable and kind and helpful! It was our first time there and tbh we were a little skeptical about it since the name wasn't super appealing but MANNN the food!!! They knocked itout of the park. We got half a chicken with mashed potatoes and kale along with a chicken Caesar wrap. And to top it off we got some of the homemade bread pudding which came out steaming, gooey, and covered in their homemade caramel sauce. The rotisserie chicken rub was so flavorful, the chicken was juicy and fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted like a Michelin restaurant. The kale salad was PERFECT. We had a great dinner from Chicken Scratch. We ordered online and everything came out exactly as ordered! For my meal I got Crispy Chicken tenders with Horsey Honey Mustard as the dipping sauce. I love horseradish so I thought this sauce was delicious. It's like a really great honey mustard plus the perfect amount of kick. The chicken was really crispy and juicy. I would definitely get these again! We got a side of fries and a side of kale to split. The fries were the perfect combo of crisp outside with soft inside. The dry rub they get tossed in added a really delicious flavor (also delish dipped in horsey honey mustard). The kale was ok but next time I'd skip it to try a different side. read more

This was our first visit today, and everything was great! The location is right across from the 7-Eleven on the southwest corner of Manchester and Berry. It's where the old Fox photo was, and I think pie pizza was in there for a bit, it seems like what they have to offer here is the best fit! The owner was running the window, and her husband is the chef, very friendly service, and always makes me happy to see people who generally seem to be enjoying what they are doing. I have the Doritos burrito and added sides of the Mac salad (almost sort of refreshing with the cilantro and not so heavy feeling like some macs) and the fried chickpeas (these are super tasty and incredibly light, a really awesome snack). I got my toddler the kids meal with chicken nuggets, there are three of them so I had one of them and I can say the chicken was outrageously succulent. My wife got the main salad, I am blanking on the name and our friend the chicken wings. I'll have to check in with them for details but all accounts so far they said they really like it! I definitely want to try the rotisserie chicken style next time, today for whatever reason I was craving a burrito, but I could tell from the chicken nugget that the chicken itself seems like a must have. So four people were eating (3 adults and a toddler), and we added a couple of sides just because we wanted to see what they were all about. With tax and service charge which I think is for ordering online plus we left 10% tip (which of course is optional) it was right around $70. that seems a little pricey, but you also have to realize that prices have gone up across-the-board pretty much everywhere. It's also all higher quality stuff so I think the old axiom "you get what you pay for" rings true. Also, the website is really nice and well constructed, I also thought it was cool that when you schedule ahead on an order, they are asking you to be there at that specific time. The restaurant has a small dining area with about 12 tables. It was clean and we arrived close to opening hours, so we were the only people there. We ordered a gyro and a chicken salad sandwich, and we split a large fry. The fries were salty but good. The gyro and sandwich were okay, nothing special, especially considering the cost of the meal. They also don't have refills for soft drinks, which are served in cans. There's nothing wrong with the place, but I probably won't be going back because I didn't think the quality matched the price. read more

Chicken Scratch started out as a stall in the City Foundry food court. And it continues there, but also just opened a stand alone restaurant on Manchester Road. It's a handy location in mid-county/Glendale, and is set up for easy take out, but does have about 8 tables for dine in. The good news (not that there's any bad) is that the food is the same as at their food court spot. As I put in my review for there, "Well this certainly puts those fast food chicken joints and supermarket roasted chickens to shame." The wife and I found out last week about the new Manchester location. We grabbed lunch, with me getting a breast/wing quarter chicken and a mac salad side. The wife went with the crispy chicken sandwich. My quarter chicken was juicy and tender, with flavor from skin to bone. The dry rub on the skin will make you want to peel it off and eat it like a potato chip - very tasty. The mac salad is "macaroni mixed with a classic mayo dressing, celery, scallions, and shredded carrots." It's a decent size portion, and the scallions add some nice flavor to it. The wife's crispy chicken sandwich had a generous patty that was also well flavored, and we quite liked the egg bun that it came on. The owner, Christine?, was working the order window and chatted with us later for a bit too. She was very pleasant and friendly for the ordering, the serving of our food (since we ate in), and just chatting about their business.
