Honey garlic wings and fries combo
    Timira M.

I didn't bring lunch to work today, so I decided to venture next door and try this place. When I entered, I was greeted by a polite lady who allowed me ample time to look over the menu. After a few moments, I settled on the 6 piece wing combo with fries and a drink. I ordered the honey garlic wings, but they have 30 flavors or wings. This was probably the hardest thing to figure out what I wanted my wings to taste like. I grabbed my drink and waited about ten minutes. They were busy with a lot of call-in orders but managed to handle the take out orders well. The inside of the place is clean and welcoming with two tvs mounted on the wall. The food tasted good, and I will be back to try other menu items. Until next time...

Touchdown Wings celebrated the opening of its second location in the Central West End in Fall 2023. Like the original location, they specialize in making fried foods such a wings, fries, rice, shrimp and fish. Their menu also includes a selection of sandwiches and hamburgers. Since the name of the restaurant (Touchdown Wings) is what originally drew me into this establishment, I decided to order wings. They offer wing counts of 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30- all the way up to 100. All wing orders can be made into a combo that includes fries and a fountain drink. Wings can be seasoned or flavored using up to 2 of their 30 available sauces and spices. I ordered the 10 piece lemon pepper dry rub combo. The wings were fried to a perfect crispy finish and coated with a generous rub of their lemon pepper seasoning. I also received a generous portion of warm, fluffy fries. As someone who grew up in the south, where wings are king, I give touchdown wings my stamp of approval. I'm excited to return again to try their various flavors and seasonings!

Lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan dry rub fried wings with fries

Touchdown Wings recently opened their second restaurant in CWE, with their original restaurant located in Overland. They serve a variety of foods such as sandwiches, burgers, fish, salads, and fries rice but their signature food is their fried wings! I have been looking for a fried wing place in St. Louis and have not found one until now. For their wings, they offer 30 different flavors and you can mix and match different flavors in your order. I got their 10pc combo which comes with fries and a drink. I lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan dry rub wings and it was so tasty! I was served a generous serving of fries and the wings were fried to perfection. The price of these wings can't be beat as this whole meal was only $12.99. The service was also good. The employees were kind and patient with the customers and my food came out quickly. I would recommend this wing place to anyone!!

The room is a walk up to counter to order your food. The door lets in breezes. The order was taken quickly. Prices were reasonable, but it took 20 minutes for the food to be prepared. The seating area is tables and booths. Nothing fancy.

    Medium and lemon pepper wings

The fries were soggy from steaming in the styrofoam box and the ranch was disappointing but the lemon pepper wings were fantastic. Medium sauce was just okay. My two cents, a few small things could massively improve this place. A good house made ranch, some seasoning on the fries, and maybe different take out containers so the food doesn't steam so much and get soggy - or don't close them right away? The lemon pepper wings were the redeeming factor here, I'll come back just for those. Fried rice looks good too, I'll try that instead of fries next time.

I particularly like how the menu has illustrations of the cocktails so you know how they are served. Plus everything is seasonal! For food, I give it a 4/5. I'm disappointed that it took me so long to make my way here. They won me over with the tiny dedicated parking lot. At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends

I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. The worst aspect is the ventilation which needs much work. We came out smelling so greasy and smokey. We seated ourselves and waited a minute for our waitress to assist us. She kept saying she was new, that it was like her second day or something and didn't quite know the menu. She also didn't know how to make a drink, with that being the case why are you allowed to make any cocktails. If you have a limited cocktail menu but an extensive bar selection you would think their cocktail specials were on point. Nooooo. The BF tried a margarita special and it was awful. I tried a special crafted cocktail that was cool that our waitress asked the guy bartending to specially make because she had no clue about what I was talking about. I hate going to a spot where I make drinks better than the bartenders on hand and that's your job. The BF ordered the the garlic burger and I ordered the Korean wings which NEVER came out because our waitress forgot to order them. So I shared food with the BF. The burger was extremely underwhelming, not seasoned at all. How do you specialize in burgers and mess that up. The best item we ate was the fries and the comedy show was good. I love dinner and entertainment. We are burger enthusiast and if this what your restaurant specializes in I expect to be wowed. We saw all the social media hype surrounding this place and were so excited to try them. To find out it was ALL just hype is a real let down.
