Honey garlic wings and fries combo
Timira M.

I didn't bring lunch to work today, so I decided to venture next door and try this place. When I entered, I was greeted by a polite lady who allowed me ample time to look over the menu. After a few moments, I settled on the 6 piece wing combo with fries and a drink. I ordered the honey garlic wings, but they have 30 flavors or wings. This was probably the hardest thing to figure out what I wanted my wings to taste like. I grabbed my drink and waited about ten minutes. They were busy with a lot of call-in orders but managed to handle the take out orders well. The inside of the place is clean and welcoming with two tvs mounted on the wall. The food tasted good, and I will be back to try other menu items. Until next time...

10 piece lemon pepper dry rub combo

Touchdown Wings celebrated the opening of its second location in the Central West End in Fall 2023. Like the original location, they specialize in making fried foods such a wings, fries, rice, shrimp and fish. Their menu also includes a selection of sandwiches and hamburgers. Since the name of the restaurant (Touchdown Wings) is what originally drew me into this establishment, I decided to order wings. They offer wing counts of 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30- all the way up to 100. All wing orders can be made into a combo that includes fries and a fountain drink. Wings can be seasoned or flavored using up to 2 of their 30 available sauces and spices. I ordered the 10 piece lemon pepper dry rub combo. The wings were fried to a perfect crispy finish and coated with a generous rub of their lemon pepper seasoning. I also received a generous portion of warm, fluffy fries. As someone who grew up in the south, where wings are king, I give touchdown wings my stamp of approval. I'm excited to return again to try their various flavors and seasonings!

Lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan dry rub fried wings with fries

Touchdown Wings recently opened their second restaurant in CWE, with their original restaurant located in Overland. They serve a variety of foods such as sandwiches, burgers, fish, salads, and fries rice but their signature food is their fried wings! I have been looking for a fried wing place in St. Louis and have not found one until now. For their wings, they offer 30 different flavors and you can mix and match different flavors in your order. I got their 10pc combo which comes with fries and a drink. I lemon pepper and garlic Parmesan dry rub wings and it was so tasty! I was served a generous serving of fries and the wings were fried to perfection. The price of these wings can't be beat as this whole meal was only $12.99. The service was also good. The employees were kind and patient with the customers and my food came out quickly. I would recommend this wing place to anyone!!

The room is a walk up to counter to order your food. The door lets in breezes. The order was taken quickly. Prices were reasonable, but it took 20 minutes for the food to be prepared. The seating area is tables and booths. Nothing fancy.

Medium and lemon pepper wings

The fries were soggy from steaming in the styrofoam box and the ranch was disappointing but the lemon pepper wings were fantastic. Medium sauce was just okay. My two cents, a few small things could massively improve this place. A good house made ranch, some seasoning on the fries, and maybe different take out containers so the food doesn't steam so much and get soggy - or don't close them right away? The lemon pepper wings were the redeeming factor here, I'll come back just for those. Fried rice looks good too, I'll try that instead of fries next time.

Their fries are pretty good. That's the only thing I got but they give you a pretty good amount for the price that you are paying.

It was some good food, I appreciate that the wings was small and not over grown. And I ordered the chicken well done and they delivered.

The restaurant is very casual and ultra friendly.

We ate them on Halloween instead of an Imo's pizza as usual. I was still concerned that people are waiting outside to order inside. People wait in a single line when there is plenty of room to sit at a empty table or stand inside to take your order when it is your turn. I would like to see a sign either on the doors for people who ordered on line and just want to pick up their order I met folks who stood in line for 10 minutes just to pickup an order she did not have to wait for. Perhaps a second sandwich maker could be available or have someone present asking "If anyone had an order to pickup go to the otherside to pickup your order". I was hoping that the old Dado's drive up window would take care of that. I think it is blocked by racks of chips. Maybe in the near future it will be utilized. I like that they expanded the area were the bar was and have a lot of table space and prep area. It is bright and airy. I do recommend this restaurant.

I really liked the decor and the cool vibe. We ordered the spicy chicken katsu Sando and it was delicious. The meat was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The Sando came with the side of fries. We got the togarashi fries and they were so addicting. Fries were not as crispy but very well seasoned and went perfect with the aioli sauce. We also tried the pork katsu rice bowl. I didn't like the sauce as much as the chicken Sando but it was still pretty good. I liked that the rice was well-cooked. You must try their ice cream. I would have come just for it alone. They have a good variety of flavors. My favorite was the miso taro and the yuzu caramel. The staff were very nice to us and the food came out quick. Highly recommend you guys checking this place out.

Clean restrooms and friendly staff, very important to me and this place has both! Owner or manager greeted us upon arrival and asked if we had been in before or needed any suggestions from the menu. I asked about the ice cream choices and considered saving room despite the cold outside...but sadly missed out and didn't get any at the end. Bf got the regular chicken katsu bowl and I went with the pork tonkatsu sando. Similar flavors but just depends on if you like using your hands or working with a fork. Feel like he got the right choice (but you miss out on bread if you go with the bowl) I think our favorite part was the fries, great seasoning and perfectly crisp outside.

They've renovated the space recently, and it looks fantastic, clean, modern, and way more welcoming than before. The ordering counter is right at the entrance, and once you're ready, the staff keeps things moving quickly. The menu has also gotten an upgrade with a shiny new digital display, and I'm pretty sure there are some new items on there (love to see it!). Even with the new options, I'm loyal to my go to, the turkey sandwich, because it simply never misses. After they toast the sandwich, it's topping time. I always stick with my favorites, lettuce, olives, and honey mustard, simple but perfect. Once your sandwich is finished, don't forget to grab chips (and maybe a cookie...no judgment) plus a drink cup before paying and heading to the dining area. Speaking of drinks: I cannot resist their strawberry lemonade. Not only did I have one cup, I had two. It's that good.
