Trashed hot wings with a side of peanut sauce
    Dave F.

Bookmark checked off with trashed hot wings (added a side of peanut butter sauce & bottle of Bud select) The trashed wing only come in mild, medium and regular hot tossed in the fryer again to cook the sauce into the wing. The wing were not the slight charred trashed wings some places make them, just sauce cooked in type. The normal hot (hottest you can order for trashed) had good flavor, but not much heat. The peanut sauce reminded me of an Asian flavor when the hot wings were dipped inside. I got a lid and took the rest of the sauce to add to Thai chili eggs to create a more interesting breakfast eggs. Not sure if I want to eat the peanut butter sauce alone on something, but interesting mixed with other sauce/flavors. Bottle of bud select was just $2. With many bottles of large batch beer & only 3 taps, not a beer connoisseur type place so better to pick your favorite cheaper go-to. The building is an old franchise restaurant (I think Shoney's) with some big screens now hung up. Interesting- outside is a large tented area with a fire pit that attracted groups of friend. Looked nice, but I was alone. In the future visits- I would want more people with me to try more types of wing sauces.

I was not to impressed to be honest, got the garlic butter wings and they were bland, service was good, didn't care for the cheese sticks. Ehh.

As far as wings go, Geo's does it right, fried, naked, and soaked in one of many sauces. (Hot Chipolte Ranch is my favorite) The fries are excellent and addicting. Karaoke nights are a hoot. Geo's boasts the coldest beer in belleville, and I'll tell you I believe it. Prices are reasonable and you always get treated like friends by the Owners and Staff. Dont forget to get a wing card, after 10 full orders of wings you get one free. I'm a customer for life.

Probably the best wings in town. The prices are even greater. They have a million wings flavors to choose from. We always get the sampler platter which is 12 wings and 3 flavors of your choice. We get two platters, no shame in our game. The wings are the perfect size, not to big and not to small. They're perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp and seasoning. The staff is nice but not my kind of crowd. It's always a bunch of bikers here. I normally place a pickup order and it takes about 20mins.

Even though they were still getting ready, someone immediately greeted me and offered me a menu so I could decide what I wanted while I waited. I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture and appreciated the excellent customer service. Once they opened, I received my food very quickly. At first I was excited because I needed to get back to work and had a fairly long drive ahead of me. I had skipped breakfast that morning, so I was very hungry. Before leaving, I took a bite of the snoot and immediately noticed that it wasn't even warm. It was covered in sauce, which initially disguised the fact that it was cold. As I drove, I started eating the Brussels sprouts since they were easy to eat with one hand. Unfortunately, they were also completely cold, not even slightly warm. As I reached the bottom of the Brussels sprouts container, I felt something hard and extra chewy in my mouth. I pulled it out and It turned out to be a piece of plastic. I have no idea how it ended up in my food, but I took a picture of it and have included it with this review. When I went back to the snoot, I realized that most of the pieces were still covered in very hard whiskers. My understanding is that those whiskers are supposed to be removed during preparation. At that point, I couldn't help but feel like I had been served food that had been sitting from the previous day. Because my order was to go, it felt like there was very little attention paid to whether the food was fresh, hot, or even properly prepared. The entire experience was disappointing on several levels. I really couldn't afford to eat out that day, but I wanted to try a restaurant that was highly recommended while I was working in the area. I expected that food served right after opening would be fresh, hot, and delicious. Instead, it was cold, poorly prepared, and contained a foreign object. The piece of plastic was the most concerning part of the experience. Thankfully, I always chew my food carefully. Had I swallowed it or choked while eating during my drive back to work, it could have resulted in a very serious accident. Based on my experience, I would recommend eating your meal inside the restaurant if you decide to give this place a try. If there's an issue with the temperature or quality of your food, you'll have the opportunity to bring it to the staff's attention immediately. Unfortunately, taking my meal to go meant I didn't discover the problems until I was already on the road, and by then there was nothing that could be done.

Everyone behind the counter smiled at my father and I, which was so welcoming! The man that took our payment was also friendly. I ordered the turkey plate with baked beans and French fries. My father ordered the brisket, baked beans and asked for unsalted fries. He raved about his brisket being tender and the fries actually tasting like potato. We absolutely dislike salt so we appreciated the unsalted fries. I don't normally order baked beans but didn't want any other sides listed on the menu -- beans did not disappoint! So flavorful and not overly sweet. Super yum! I agree the fries are very good. And the turkey, so tender. I think the only thing is that I am not used to eating room temperature meat. The first bite was warm and then the rest of the turkey was not, losing a little flavor. But honestly, the BBQ sauces are excellent & still worth it. :) I would definitely recommend the root beer! It's like that old school, make ya hiccup kinda flavor -- it's stronger than any root beer I've ever had. It's amazing! Even my dad loved it. I just don't think they make root beer like that anymore. I'm impressed! Overall, the place was clean and the staff were actually cleaning all around us as there weren't many patrons present. The music isn't blaring, which I really like. It's a must chiller ambiance than I thought it would be and I do love the whole counter ordering, set yourself concept. The art on the wall is cool too! Overall, I'd recommend Sugarfire. And I will definitely go back and try more menu items, even the turkey again. Friendly staff, tasty food & drinks, chill atmosphere & very clean. Well done, Sugarfire. Cheers to you & your wonderful staff! Thank you so much.

Anything that tastes a little bit more time to prepare they will bring out to you on the floor. Keeps things flowing very well. I got the four bones (baby backs), broccoli salad (premium side, one dollar up charge), and coleslaw. I also grabbed a piece of sweet cornbread with honey butter, and fried green tomatoes with a lemon aïoli. The bones were not rendered as much as I would've liked, the fat layers were still too thick. But the flavor was good. And every table has six different sauces and you can have as much sauce as you want. I tried them all, and my personal favorites were the Carolina mustard, and the Texas hot sauce. The white barbecue was also very interesting. But they're all good. Fried green tomatoes were terrific! Broccoli salad and the coleslaw were pretty tasteless. As was the cornbread. Really wouldn't describe that as sweet cornbread. It seemed a mostly just wheat flour cornbread. The honey butter on its own was really the best side. I'm not unhappy that I came here, but would I seek it out again or try something else in the area? I would try something else in the area. And for that reason I am leaning toward 3 starts. Although the staff is terrific and really hustles here, and that is why I have to bump this up to four stars.

My wife and I have driven past the place 100 times and she finally talked me into trying it out for lunch. WOW. Awesome food. We both had ribs, I went for a double order of spaghetti as my side, the wife went with green beans and yams. The portions were large and came with a cornbread muffin. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and the spaghetti was very good. I am normally not a green bean fan, but I tasted the ones my wife ordered and they were delicious! It looked like small pieces of potato and I don't know what else in them. I never eat yams but these were great. Too sweet for my taste as a side, but I had them for "dessert" after finishing my meal. Tasted more like sweet potato pie than anything and dipping the cornbread muffin in the sauce was sinfully good. EVERYTHING was home made from scratch. We were way too full to try any of the desserts (cakes, peach cobbler, sweet potato pie) but I will sample them next trip. The menu is not large but be sure to ask as there are several items available not listed. I was craving some fried chicken, which I was told was available, but I'd already ordered the ribs. I'm going for the chicken next visit....collard greens were an option (not listed) as well but I am not a fan. My ONLY con would be no butter for the muffin..but it was moist without it and after I figured out how good it tasted dipped in the yam sauce, I would not have used it had it been there !We were totally stuffed for less than $20. We are already planning to head back next week. Give this place a try...you won't regret it!!!
