It's a no for me... just not feeling the flavor profiles, but you go ahead and try it. The ToTs..yes, crispy and definitely an original play on traditional tots, but the consistency is something you need to adjust to. The ranch dressing was good. Sandwich, I went with the Chicken, Provel Sauce, Red Hot Riplets and Grilled onions one. Uummm, the grilled onions threw this whole flavor off and the provel sauce lacked flavor/seasoning. I ate 3 tots and a 1/4 of the sandwich. That's all I could do. Service was fine and the dining space was clean and open, the air conditioning was definitely on blast. Like I said, check it out for yourself.

I really loved my food here. Came in with a large group for an after work happy hour and ordered some drinks at Tamm Ave. we got the cauliflower for the table and it was delish! I got the Nashville Hot Sandwich with fries! The meet was juicy, flavorful and definately packed a punch. The service was great and the person who took our order was so funny! Great food, vibe and service

Absolutely delicious!! The chicken was SO good. We got the dark meat nuggets, poutine, mac and cheese, wings, and the mother clucker sandwich. All were so delicious and piping hot. The chicken was so crispy and juicy and flavorful. Love the option of white or dark meat. The food came out pretty fast with how busy they were and the guy taking orders was very friendly. It's located inside Tamm Ave bar and we decided to go on the first Mizzou game day of the season so it was PACKED. We couldn't even get to the back patio. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves back there tho. We sat out front and it was lovely. Parking was easy. Can't wait to go back!

Awwwww man!!! When I heard Byrd & Barrel was making a return I was beyond stoked. Triumphant return to the city, and it was nothing short of amazing! Chef Bob really outdid himself with the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfectly crispy and packed with just the right amount of heat, all served on a soft, pillowy brioche bun that complemented the flavors beautifully. I couldn't resist trying the special of the day, which was the chicken and crawfish gumbo! The gumbo was rich and hearty, with tender pieces of chicken and succulent crawfish, all swimming in a flavorful, well-seasoned broth. It was comfort food at its finest. Byrd & Barrel has definitely made a stellar comeback, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their mouthwatering dishes. If you're a fan of great chicken and bold flavors, this place is a must-visit!

No complaints. Quick and simple service. I loved the cauliflower!! Fries were great too. My boyfriend liked his chicken sandwich, Mother Clucker, he didn't love it. We will definitely return!

Unbelievable, met with Cody today to create a new Moniker in the STL sandwich scene. Presenting the KCWoedy!!! A double dipped Nashville Hot covered in jalapeños and fresh made iceberg slaw. Named after Ken, Cody and Wayne. It was unbelievably good. Thank you Cody, that was Epic!!!!!

I was visiting Tamm Avenue Bar for the Love Island Reunion so I wanted a nearby place for a bite. It's literally conjoined with T.A.B. So I walked over and placed the order for my friend and I. I ordered the Sunday Sandwich with fries for myself and the poutine with mushroom gravy for my friend. They give you a table number and bring the food directly to you once it's ready. I don't know if it's because I didn't have any sauce on my burger but it was like eating a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich with only some of the love. It needed sauce and I am not sure why it doesn't come with any. The pickles were on point and was giving "we just made these pickles in house" vibes. The fries were fries and my friend enjoyed her poutine. If I order that sandwich again, I am asking for sauce of some sort. I don't care if it's pickle juice or something! All that brioche bread and thick chicken with no sauce was sadness.

Food was delicious! I got the Nashville hot chicken and the Mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious! The spice was a touch bitter but overall I loved the sandwich! Mac and cheese was amazing great complex flavor! Service was kind and fast! Ambiance was casual.

We have been really excited for the return of Byrd and Barrel we used to frequent the original location on Jefferson. We ordered quickly on a Friday night and dined in. I got the Nashville hot sandwich which had good flavor but wasn't spicy as I expected. The Mac and cheese side was tasty. We also got the mother clucker which was the better sandwich of the two. We also brought home some nugs which were as good as I had remembered!

I'm in town for a few days and this came up on my radar as a place to try. The menu is pretty straight forward. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There are two seating options, a small dining room or the bar next door that is connected through the dining room. I love a good breaded chicken sandwich and this one hit the spot. The onions with the chips and the fried chicken are the perfect combo. Wish there was a location closer to Chicago.

Jack in the Box-styled tacos? Grown up chicken nuggies? A retired college kid's dream. Within the historic Dogtown neighborhood and across from the Zoo and Forest Park, Byrd and Barrel offers a great menu (ft. nugs, tacos, sandwiches, cauliflower bites, and poutine) for to-go park picnics or or a quick bite with a pint. The style and aesthetic fits that of brother business, Tamm Avenue, with the quirky, colourful wall art and the service is friendly and gritty just like the blue collar, Irish-American neighborhood it inhabits. Walk thru over to Tamm Avenue bar and enjoy the hidden patio in the back, decorated with TVs and games within the garage.

The Byrd is the word, and it's back! Closing their og location on Jefferson during the pandemic disappointed SO many people. If you are/were as obsessed as I was you may know there were announcements they would be reopening in a larger space on Hampton around 2022. Again, disappointment came when this plan was abandoned as owner Bob Branham saw restaurants still struggling at that time. Thankfully the idea of bringing Byrd & Barrel back to life was never abandoned, and now almost 5 years later those of us that held onto hope of its resurgence can rejoice! For those who don't know, you should immediately flock to the new location! Best known for their Nugs (chicken nuggets), no dining experience here for me is complete without an order of JITB tacos, and a side of kool-aid pickles as well. These are not your smash down mcsmall nuggets. A 5pc will definitely fill you up, especially if you'll be ordering some sides and they offer both white and dark meat options. They also have a couple chicken sandwiches on the menu including their specialty, the motherclucker. The space is super hip, and retains the vibe of their original location which I love. The staff is all still super nice and inviting. The 5 year wait was worth it! It feels like almost nothing has changed, aside from being much closer to home now located in my neighborhood of Dogtown. This could spell trouble for my waistline....

Great to have the Byrd back. Nugz were just as I remembered 5 years ago at their previous location. Large tender pieces with a crispy batter packing a light heat. Or maybe the heat was from the Byrd sauce that I got. Couldn't be quite sure. The nugz come either as white meat or thigh meat. I believe you can also mix them if you get the 10 piece order. Of course the 10 piece costs 2x the 5 piece, so you could just order one of each type in the smaller size. Either way, the large size and whole meat are what help make these so good. Sauce is an extra $1 per tub, but at the lower price point for the other items I can see how the place has to make a profit with it. I couldn't remember what the Byrd sauce was like, and the guy said it "was like Chick-fil-A's, but gooderer." And that's probably the gooderest way to put it. It a bit darker, denser, and spicier than the chain's sauce. The wife also ordered a small StL salad with her nugz. The small salad is pretty good size, and perfect to go with an order of nugz. It was pretty good! Comes with provel, vinaigrette, peppadews, grape tomatoes, red onions - lettuce was probably the least component of the salad. A nice, bright complement to the chicken. I also got an order of JITB tacos (2 per order). Crispy fried and filled with chicken taco stuffing. Excellent. I can only wish JITB made them like this.

I ordered a Chicago dog as well and decided to skip sides this time. The burger might be my new favorite in town. I am a Carl's smash burger fan but the 2 parties on Vinnie's burger were perfectly smashed with crusty edges and a perfect dollop of cheddar on top. Perfectly seasoned, it was hamburger perfection. The dog was great as well with a very nice Giardiniera. I prefer Woofie's Chicago dog but this is a close second. I can't wait to return for the hot beef sandwich! Vinnie has quite the personality and is another reason I enjoyed this place so much.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating to adding or removing ingredients from sandwiches. I had Joes Italian Kicker with the homemade artichoke salad. The artichoke salad was so good. The dressing was sweet but not overly so. I am not a fan of sweet Italian so for me to actually like this item kind of amazed me but it truly was good. I did not get the tomato sauce on my sandwich, and it was far from what I had convinced myself it was supposed to be lol. I am not a fan of brats and sausages and such but I do like salami. I convinced myself that it was going to be sliced garlic and red wine salami and well that wasn't what I got but I do like to try different things so I wasn't disappointed. The sausage was amazing. So flavorful and enjoyable... again a surprise because as I said, I am not a fan of this type of sausage. Now the giardeneria, it is delicious but it says hot for a reason. It was a little too hot for me but once I removed a bit I could grab little bites with my sandwich and it was less of a mouth burning experience. The cheese and cheese garlic bread the sandwich comes with is absolutely a flavor bonus. overall this was a great meal and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Now my dining partner got meatballs and pasta salad. While she wasn't a fan of the meatballs to the point where she raves, she did say they were good just not great! However she did very much like the pasta salad. She only wished there had been less black olives. Lastly, we did ask for to go boxes for our salad Because the portion was extremely generous and we couldn't eat all of either... we started to get up to go get the containers and a staff member saw us rising and took care of getting the containers for us which was very sweet. I would like to say that a lidded bowl would be better for salads because all the dressing leaked out of the styrofoam box but that was really the only disappointment.
