I walked in and immediately was intrigued. The restaurant is so quaint. The colors are in a very chic green and the tables all have different tablecloths. My first impression was that the place was clean and pressed. It's much bigger inside than I expected. When I got up to the counter there were about 3 couples in front of me. The first twos orders were quick and easy (they were obviously seasoned vets) then an elderly couple was next. It took a few minutes for them to get through their order b/c of how many "combinations" are available. I noticed that mostly woman were working here and they were all very pleasant and patient, even the new girl behind the register (she mentioned it was her first day). After placing my Togo order it took about 10minutes for it to be ready. I thought for a pre-made salad place it would be quicker, but chalked it up as being busy b/c the drive-thru was also Hoppin'! Grabbed my Togo and left. It's a little difficult to get out of the parking lot and go the direction I needed to go, so I took the side road. It's pretty close to the YMCA. I can see a lot of ladies swinging by this place after a yoga class for "girls lunch". When I got home I was a little disappointed seeing the sides portion size. I expected a little more for a $9 meal. I had the Dixie chick w/pasta salad and my hubby had the Kickin Kay Lynn w/pasta salad and their loaded potato soup. Mine was pretty good. Needed some more spices like pepper or something. The hubby said his wasn't very spicy. The soup was awesome though! I'm surprised he let me try any at all considering the portion size vs the deliciousness. Pasta salad was better than basic but something I could make. With your meal you get a cookie, and I got an extra one b/c I checked in on Yelp!. White chocolate macadamia nut, yummy!! You don't get a drink w/ur meal. It would be nice if they let you substitute the cookie for a fountain drink. They are the same price (maybe they do, I didn't ask). Overall this was a pretty tasty place and I will probably go back if I'm in the mood for a light lunch / dinner. read more

I'm so disappointed. I've eaten at chicken salad chick about 8 times. Almost always in port orange but one time in ormond. They have changed a lot! No longer serve sourdough bread, just white , wheat and croissant. No longer serve choc chip cookie, just iced (yuk) very small sugar cookie, sandwich is smaller but still tastes good. Guess they are trying to save money. Makes me not want to go there. read more

I usually enjoy Chicken salad chic but this location is terrible. I went thru drive thru ordered a meal, a pound of chicken salad, and brocoli salad. I drove all the way home and they forgot my pound of salad. I drove back explained they forgot it. I also asked if I could order a sweet tea she said sure and rang it up . She proceeds to hand me a bowl of chicken salad through window and said enjoy. Slam.....no drink I waited to get her attention she came back and asked what I needed I said my drink oh here you go. I get home ready to eat with my family and the chicken salad has grapes the size of a silver dollar in it (Fruity Fran) not easy to make sandwiches with it. Last but not least my daughter says Mom my cookie is missing. I will not be back here. This was my second visit I figured they just open the first time I visited and it'll get better. Only my second time here, but both times have been fantastic. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and music, and some delicious food for sure! I recommend the Jazzy Julie if you want something with a kick, and broccoli salad side. Ask to try samples if you aren't sure what you want! read more

New favorite place for me for lunch! I love the variety and the atmosphere here. The music is relaxing, the decor is super cute. Even the bathrooms are accommodating! I drive a lot for work so I stop many places and this is by far one of the best. The staff is friendly and helpful. Yes there are more things than chicken salad, there are other sandwiches meats and fresh fruit and vegetable salads. I got the three scoops of chicken salad- curry, jalapeño holly and fancy Nancy (apples, pecans and cashews) with crackers. Delicious! I hope we get more chicken salad chicks around here! read more

First time visiting. Great service! Ordered the Classic Carol chicken salad on a croissant and a Fancy Nancy on a croissant. Both were good, but there seemed to be more croissant than chicken salad. If you order the Classic Carol, it is just that, very plain. Will definitely visit again. read more

I went to chicken salad chick today and was leary about trying the chicken salad as all places put celery in their chicken salads so I never get to eat it only when I make it. The gal who greeted us told me that they finely chop it and I wouldn't taste it I was very leery but they all looked so good I couldn't resist so I tried the jalapeno chicken salad and it was awesome I did not taste any celery at all and I could enjoy my lunch thank you very much for a great experience. read more

I immediately felt valued from the moment I walked into the door and was greeted by a friendly smile and offered samples of their popular chicken salad menu options. I was also greeted by the store manager and our food was ready in under 2 minutes. I ordered the seasonal salad which was AMAZING. A side of fruit which was incredibly fresh, and the Fancy Nancy chicken salad. WOW! This meal was fresh and filling and perfect for after a nice workout. This place has wonderful chicken salad and just as good as my homemade. We had been to the one in Ormond, buy a pound to bring home and loved it. So happy Port Orange has one now. I may never make homemade again. Fancy Nancy, Lula Lillie our favorites, the spicy one is a little too spicy for me. They let you sample before you purchase. Price is good. Well, I've found my new favorite place! Let me say....there is nothing about this place I didn't like. Well, except the tomato on my sandwich. More on that in a minute. The place is super clean... even the ladies room! And, there was a real baby changing table and they even provide diapers! The choices of chicken salads are amazing! And, there is pimento cheese!!!! Salads, soups, sandwiches, cookies! I finally chose a sandwich (wheat bread) with the fruit and nut chicken salad, a side of pimento cheese with crackers, a pickle AND they give you a cookie! The pimento was awesome. I will try the spicy one next time! My sandwich was absolutely delicious.... however.....now for my nit. The one thing that I personally think makes a sandwich perfect is......the tomato. A deep red, juicy, delicious tomato! The one on my sandwich was... yucky. White, chewy core. Yuk. Next time I'll say no tomato. Other than the tomato, this place is awesome. Service is excellent. Very friendly people. I can't wait to return! read more
