Over the past eight years, it has become clear that many locations have adopted these practices, likely based on corporate directives. Portion sizes are under tighter control, which is clearly a cost containment measure. Having said that, since this location now produces portions identical to any other location, I've decided to raise my review. I still would not give five stars, as there are occasionally issues With orders at this location. In particular mobile orders are frequently delayed and even once I'm in the restaurant asking for them to complete my order, it will take often quite a while before somebody actually goes into the back to complete the mobile order. Therefore, I recommend you come in to this location and order on site. Any mobile order will take much longer than projected.

i have been wanting to try ekiben for the longest time, but it's so far from me! i finally got the…read morechance to go with a friend who was visiting from california. i told her that BTS came here 2x while they were on tour in Baltimore. the space was pretty small and had 2 standing tables, some countertop seating, and an outdoor table. i really wanted to try their soft shell crab bun, but i had no idea that it was a seasonal item! i guess i'll have to come back for that. they had a poster up showing the meals that bts got when they visited, which were: -mild neighborhood bird bowl -tofu brah bun -yuzu white peach i ordered the spicy neighborhood bird bun ($14.50), the ramen broccoli ($10), and they had a dine-in special offering the crab rangoon eggroll ($10). the bird bun is a curry fried chicken thigh in a bao bun, and it was HUGE. my friend and i barely made a dent in it and ended up taking it home to eat later. yes, it was still so delicious later! the ramen broccoli was okay. it was basically roasted broccoli mixed with shin ramyun spices. the eggroll- was not my cup of tea. it was a maryland cheesy crab dip wrapped inside an eggroll rather than an actual crab rangoon eggroll.. if you've had crab rangoon before, you know it's made with cream cheese. this was simply just a cheesy crab dip. i probably wouldn't have minded as much if it had been labeled as a cheesy crab eggroll, but i didn't like that it was called a "crab rangoon" when it really wasn't. anyway, i'll be back in the summer to try their soft shell crab bun!

There's ample seating, plenty of room, and every employee I interacted with was polite, welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. I loved it. I was in and out of there in no time. My go to here is the 'Uncle Gigli'. LOVE this 'bagelwich' (wait... did I just make up a new word?!? Ha! Check me out! Nah. I'm sure it already exists... I just like patting myself on the back when I can. lol). Turns out the 'Uncle Gigi', evidently, is a Guest Fave! Nice! It comes w/ an Everything bagel (scooped), skinnied (I leave as is) and toasted. The interior is stuffed w/ Scallion cream cheese, Muenster cheese, avocado spread, cucumber, sprouts, tomato. You can sub your choice of bread or bagel. There's even the option to make it VEGAN with vegan cream cheese and no Muenster cheese. The flavors ALWAYS hit w/ this one! I also added salmon, making this even more PERFECT than it already is. The short version is you won't find better bagels dine in or to go in the area. Their menu is well designed with a decent variety of options without being overwhelming or trying to do too much. As a regional chain, they have several locations but this one is very well situated. There's a free parking lot and free parking on the street out front. They have a decent inside dining area and outdoor seating on the patio as well. During the pandemic, they kept going with delivery and curbside pick up and eventually opened for in-store pick up and eventually for in-store dining again. Over the past few years they have been rewarded with a growing and loyal customer base. All of this means that if you want to place an order, be prepared, especially on weekend mornings, for a decent delay as they will at times become swamped with customers. I highly recommend downloading and using their app. Much better than trying to use a third party app to order. Plus you get occasionally discounts/rewards. In order to help address the breakfast rush hour, a few years ago they installed a very large wall with alphabetized shelves for pick up orders. in addition, they recently added a monitor that shows which orders are currently ready and on the shelf, and which orders are in progress with a time estimate for when it will be ready. In terms of specific food items, I highly recommend all of the breakfast egg sandwiches. Be aware that the 'ham' they list is Taylor ham; also known as pork roll. Very delicious, but not the same thing as deli ham. All of the lunch sandwiches are well-made but I am partial to the low fat chicken salad. It's great on a bagel, cold, or on rye bread as a Panini. The french fries are a must have, and I would absolutely get them with breakfast or lunch.

Pssst! Wanna know one of Baltimore's best cheap food spots? Well look no further than Chicken Rico. Yes, parking may be tough. Yes, it may look a little sketchy from the outside. And yes, your local McDonald's interior probably looks cleaner and trendier than the dining area here. But just deal with it.... because there is some seriously good Peruvian style chicken here. There's a lot of stuff on the menu...but the best thing by far--and what most people come for--is their chicken. Their rotisserie roasted chicken is moist and seasoned expertly with its blend of Latin American herbs and spices. Throw in their green and yellow sauces and you've got a flavor explosion party for your mouth. You can also add sides dishes. You can go for your typical chicken sides like rice, beans, french fries, coleslaw or go for more exotic fare such as yucca, a starchy root that tastes somewhat like potatoes, and plantains, a fruit similar to bananas. The yucca and plantains cost extra but are worth a try. There's also a refrigerator with a bunch of soda. In addition to the ever-present offerings from the Coca-Cola company, you can get more niche drinks such as the sweet and fruity Inca Cola (both regular and diet). But best of all, this place is cheap. You can get a satisfying meal for under $10 easily. So while it may not look like much from the outside, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more

I have eaten here several times over the years. In my opinion, it's either very good or very average. A lot depends on what time of the day you visit. The chicken is always very good however the quality of the sides varies. The beans are very good but a little too salty. I hate to imagine how much salt they actually put into them. The brown rice is delicious too, but again it's loaded with salt and vegetable oil. I'll continue to eat here on occasion. read more

What disappointed me most was the manager's complete lack of accountability and concern. A simple apology and a willingness to help would have gone a long way. Ordering was easy through the tablet, and the service moved at a decent pace. Our food came out in about 10-15 minutes. I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and tried the Carolina BBQ sauce, which was VERY good. The tenders were a nice size, crispy, and had flavorful breading. The fries were also a standout, the seasoning on them was delicious and made them even better. Overall, everything was good and flavorful. I'd put these in a similar category to the chicken tenders at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, which I've always enjoyed.
