Their "brunch burger" is a major missed opportunity though... this really should have a fried egg on it. You could possibly add an egg from the ala carte section of the menu, but those cost $3, so you'd be looking at $27 for a burger and a half a cup of fried potatoes. That's insanely expensive. Currently the brunch burger has two small patties which have a tendency to overcook and become dry. My patties were well-done despite me asking for medium - don't even ask if the kitchen can't deliver. Not sure what makes that a brunch burger, but it would be much better if those two patties were combined into one, and a fried egg was added, while staying below a $24 price point expensive burgers in Vancouver. Other restaurants can do it.... Oh, the other disappointing thing is that the card reader defaults to tips at 18, 25, and 28%. Not cool - we already pay servers high wages in BC, tipping should be 10% if not eliminated altogether. 28%? No thanks!

A big thank you to Mallory and the kitchen staff! This review is 3 months late, but even a few months later, we remember our meal like it was yesterday and can't wait to return the next time we're in Vancouver. Getting to experience a Michelin Guide-recommended vegan restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip! We had (from the June 2025 menu): the Bread, the Broccolini, the Chickpea Tofu, and the Potato Cavatelli. Not a single crumb, morsel, drizzle of sauce, or even pea was left on the plates! Every bite was so full of flavor and decadent, we were so sad when the meal was over ;) The stand-out though was the Chickpea Tofu, the best tofu we've ever had and it seemed to just melt in your mouth. We also loved sitting at the bar that overlooks the open kitchen. They offer those seats for guests who want a more immersive, interactive dining experience. It was really cool to watch the chefs create each masterpiece. Overall a truly memorable and delicious experience!

Would go back again -- and soon! They change their menu every few weeks.

I'm not a huge burger fan but the rice 'bread' was appealing along with their Japanese flavors. We got the beef and chicken katsu and they were neatly packaged in a takeaway box. The person working there was very friendly and attentive. Upon seeing we would eat outside he brought out additional napkins and paper plates for us. I guess he knew it could get messy unless you eat really quick. The flavor was good and I enjoyed the rice element. I found it didn't stick to my fingers, had a nice chew to it and complimented the meat. The sauce definitely made the rice crumble a bit towards the end so I would try turning it over to finish the last bites if you're taking your time.

I stopped in for supper and felt like I was stepping into a time zone. The place is full of '50s decor and Tom and Jerry cartoons play on small tvs from above. The menu includes all-day breakfast and other items. I went for a basic burger and fries. The portion size was overwhelming. The burger was thick and juicy, on a brioche bun with aioli, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. The thin fries were a mountain of crispness. Prices are quite high - my meal was $23 without a beverage and my pop was $4 with refills. Service could have been better - I pretty much had to get my server's attention when I wanted a pop refill and the bill. But the portion size and food quality was impressive.

From the moment we walked into this brightly lit and pleasantly decorated place, it was a start of a real treat. We had Tandoori chicken which was moist and nicely seasoned. The eggplant bharta was very tasty and good portion. Lamb biriyani was tasty but I wished there were more lamb though. The highlight and agreed by most of us was the Goa fish curry which has quite a few pieces of Alaska cod and not the typical cheap basa fish used by most other Indian restaurants. It was so good and creamy yet not heavy that reminded my partner of the time when we were actually in Goa having one of our best meal while visiting India. We cleaned the plate clean! lol. Service was great too. We plan to be back as we think this is one of the better Indian restaurants in town.
