I've visited this location at least 50+ times. They're not the fastest location, but they do a great job serving their customers and community. One example of above and beyond service is when they left out an item during a drive thru order. Before I even realized the item was missing, they called my cell and let me know they refunded the item and gave me a coupon for my next visit. read more

Great food and service at this CFA location, just like they all seem to have. CFA corporate holds their franchises to a high standard and it shows. Very friendly staff and food was ready quickly. The inside seemed clean. Weren't too busy when we visited for lunch. The chicken nuggets and waffle fries were tasty as usual. Love their dipping sauce options. My tea was just fine and the wife enjoyed her vanilla milkshake (CFA is her favorite place to get them). SLOW!!!!! The food is fine, I mean they got it wrong, so I had to wait until someone noticed me to get what I had asked for, but it was fine when I finally got it. I went inside and I was early for lunch. Now, they were already very busy in the drive through, but I went inside. I don't go through the drive through if I can help it, because it always takes at least 30 minutes to get through it. I don't know what happened to this Chick Fil A, but they are pretty awful. Don't think you can grab a quick lunch. It will not happen. Today, I waited in line to order inside. They had ONE person taking orders at the counter. A young man finally opened a second register. He took one customer's order and instead of someone else filling it, he did all of it, including delivering the food to the table, leaving the register unmanned once again. There were at least a dozen Chick Fil A workers behind the counter, most standing around waiting for something to do. When I finally got my food, I sat down and at one point, five Chick Fil A workers were waiting in line to get their food, along with at least 15 customers. At the same time, a line of at least 11 people were waiting for door dash orders, refills, other things. Finally, one young lady started helping the ones with door dash, etc. I could manage it better myself, and I haven't worked in fast-food for over 50 years. For the first time I can say I was disappointed in Chick-fil-A! We put in a catering order for a New Year's Eve party, arrived to the Ballantyne location and parked. We got a girl working in the drive through's attention and told her the name of the order, she said okay and disappeared. We waited for 20 minutes assuming that she would return with our prepaid catering order, no return. While waiting we called the catering contact number, three times all going to voicemail. Last resort to drive through the drive though line and receive luke warm food, reheating instructions and a free cookie or brownie. I would not say that's compensation for the poor service tonight. Tried a franchise fast food burger place in Irmo that's inside a gas station. Took 12 minutes for my 'Crispy' (not) chicken sandwich. It was inedible and disgusting, threw it in trash. Stopped here at 1:30 on the afternoon on Saturday and it was pretty busy, but as we walked in, it was the dirtiest Chick-fil-A I have ever been too. I was shocked! The wait was not bad but when we got our food there was a big hair in the French fries. I returned the fries to the counter and had to wait for a good 5 minutes before I finally had to butt in to get someone's attention to get new fries. They made no big deal about some big nasty hair in the fries and gave me a new one. Of course we had to use the bathroom before getting back on the road and when we walked in, I was appalled at how dirty it was. I couldn't believe how bad it was. It reminded me of a gas station bathroom not a Chick-fil-A. Needless to say we will never stop here ever again. The several Chick-fil-A's I normally go to look like a 5 star restaurant compared to this one. This Chick-fil-a - especially this specific location - might just be the best restaurant in the world. Every time I walk in the door, the wonderful aroma of chicken sandwiches and fries breathes into me. Tons of people will go to wait in line, but the line goes so quickly you can barely tell. Each employee is extremely fast and always gets your order perfect. They are also very friendly and helpful, always saying "My pleasure". The drive through is impossibly quick. While most drive through experiences include a "what", an "I can't hear you" and just a whole lot of frustration, Chick-fil-a Ballentine (AKA Dutch Fork Road) is extremely efficient and relieving. The employees always have a smile on their face as they ask for your order, and are very understanding of any accommodations you might have. This is a really nice Chick Fil A! They have Cheerios for the babies to snack on! So simple and thoughtful. Really clean and awesome customer service. I did see one cashier get an attitude with a customer because he ordered the wrong thing by saying the wrong number. Hesitant to return. I went to wipe off the door handle for the play area and the wipe turned black immediately. It obviously has not been cleaned in ages. There is visible grime all over the door. Sandwich fell from the floor to the ground behind the counter. The guy from the kitchen asked for it to be handed back to him. A few second later, he puts another sandwich on the chute. So, it hits the floor: nothing is grosser than a floor in a restaurant. The shoes from all those workers, with dog poop and urine from the bathroom floors, walk all over the place. You have a worker hold the packaged sandwich, take out the sandwich with same hands, and put it in a new one. Congratulations, Chick-fil-A, you just had one of your customers lick the floor of the back of your restaurant. I watched and nobody washed their hands after touching the sandwich package that hit the floor. This isn't hard, people. If food hits the floor, it gets trashed. If you touch your hair, money, trash, or anything that is on the floor, you wash your hands. If you go to the bathroom or put your finger in any hole in your body, you wash your hands.
