3/2026: Refused to return my money for a half gallon of tea that I didn't purchase. Didn't notice the receipt until I got home. It had already taken 3 times to get my order correct. Spoke with Ashley on the phone yesterday about coming in today 3/4/2026 to get my refund. It doesn't matter if you place a drive-thru order, door dash or whatever, they will give you whatever they want!! It almost NEVER FAILS. Tonight we placed a doordash order for a 12 pc classic chicken. Doordash had to wait to get the order almost 20 mins before leaving to deliver the food. When we opened the box, it was 12 chicken tenders. This is some mess! We had to take it back ourselves to get what we actually paid for. Another bad experience and the very LAST TIME trying to support a restaurant that gives repeated bad service all the way around. Just give ppl what they ordered, prepared according to the brand and you may get better reviews/ratings. DO BETTER!!! I'm not sure why this location has such terrible reviews. The few times I've come have always been pleasant. We came by today to try out the new pickle menu. The favorite by far was the pickle wings. The sauce is perfectly tangy, sweet, and spicy. I can't say for other Popeyes locations but the chicken here is also crispy and fresh. The pickle glaze chicken sandwich was incredible as well. Not as pickle forward as the wings but still an amazing punch of flavor. The pickle chips were just okay. It's nothing special and could use more seasoning. We were not a fan of the pickle lemonade at all. It tastes exactly how you think it would - lemonade and pickle juice. It's a unique flavor that I can see other people enjoying. We came to dine in on a weekday afternoon around 4 pm. The restaurant was empty but service was on the slower side as there was only one cashier handling both dine in and drive thru customers. The dining area and ordering counter were both relatively clean. The two sweet ladies working today chatted with us after to get our opinion on the new menu items. Absolutely the worse meal I've had in a long, long time. First of all they got my order wrong. I got dark meat instead of white meat (which I didn't discover until I got home). Just left this location without food because the delivery truck parked and blocked the drive through access. We went next door to sonic and saw two other customers pull up and then leave also. I had to back out of the drive through lane to leave. Both of the other cars had to do the same. I guess your truck driver saving a few steps just cost the company 3 customers. read more

I know it's a chain, but the food and convenience of this place has really fallen off. I understand that staffing might be an issue, but it takes forever to get your food. The app is even worse. Better check your order before you leave the window, cause it'll take another 45 minutes to tell them they messed up your order. I went to this Popeyes last night. NOTHING short of perfection. My chicken was still smoking when I got home! I don't normally order mac and cheese from chain restaurants, but the picture drew me in. Best decision I ever made! No way could this be, so I went back tonight. I am once again updating my review. Popeye's can never win the chicken war unless they take a lesson from Chik-fil-a in efficiency. I understand that things have changed because of COVID, and being drive thru only, you should adjust your production to accommodate the amount of customers. On a Saturday afternoon with the line wrapped around the building nearly twice, you should not be running out of stuff and having to wait to cook it. "Fast food" should not make people wait 30+ minutes. And the way their location is designed once you are in line there is no getting out, so you have no choice but to wait. read more

Don't believe the hype! I just returned from this location after having eaten their classic chicken sandwich. Remember the stories about long lines and outrageous demand for this sandwich? Because of the hype I just HAD to try it. Well, here goes my impression. Bun that looked like someone stepped on it. Soggy pickles. But, the most notable disappointment of all--the "chicken". I put the word in quotations because it had to be the worst chicken I have ever eaten in my lifetime. Imagine a small, rubbery cube of chicken like you find in a cheap 79 cent pot pie. Take that and form it into a sandwich size patty. That is the only comparison I can make to this putrid, vile, chicken "product". Overly dense, rubbery, non-fibrous CRAP! I had to keep asking myself..."What is this?". There was virtually no breading which may have been a good thing, since the breading tasted as if it was fried in very old oil. Bitter. We feel lucky to have found this Popeye's on the way home from the coast to Greenville. We love that chicken from Popeye's, but don't have one around Greenville, so we were thrilled to find this one looking for food around Irmo. We've only been here once, but that one visit was great, and we will definitely return! This seems like a brand new building and is extremely clean. We ordered the fried chicken spicy, and sometimes you have to wait a good long while for it, but here, we got our order fast. The chicken was big and juicy as it consistently is at Popeye's. The sides were delicious also, and consistent with our experience at other Popeye's, which is after all what franchising is supposed to be about - offering people a reliable experience from one location to the next. This location delivered for us, food-wise, service-wise, and was superior in terms of newness and cleanliness of the location. This location is particularly up-to-date, with a bar-height seating area near the middle of the restaurant with multiple charging stations. The restrooms were also clean. We'll definitely stop here again. Kind of wish it were nearer to us but also kind of glad it's not - we don't need to be tempted to eat delicious spicy fried chicken all the time! read more

Placed an order on the app for pickup to be at 5:20 pm when the store didn't close until 6pm. I showed up on time at 5:20pm and the lights were half off and an employee said "they canceled the order because they were leaving and going home" almost an hour before the closing time. Hours are set for a reason and if people are ordering food within that how can they just decide they're closing early and cancel orders without upon their convenience? read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Was asked to pull over from the drive-through line after my husband ordered online to "wait for fries". I sat there for 30 minutes while watching car after car get their order. When I finally walked in and asked for my order, I saw two bags sitting on the "warming counter". I asked for fresh food since that had obviously been sitting there awhile (no one had touched it from the moment I walked in). He assured me that it was still warm. It was NOT. I asked for extra pickles in a cup, he said they didn't do that. I asked him to put some in a bag. He said they didn't do that. I then said just give me my money back and he said you'll have to do that online just like how you ordered. Because they screwed up my online order so badly, I did not trust them to give me my money back. I went to get the bags from him, and he tried to jerk them out of my hand. This is the worst, rudest experience I have ever had at any fast food restaurant anywhere ever (that includes overseas). Never ever go to this very badly run, poor quality service restaurant. This has to be the absolute worst Popeyes location I have ever visited. Every time I go, the wait is unbelievably long. 3 cars in the drive thru line normally results in at least 30 minutes of waiting. They are ALWAYS out of everything. Never have apple pies. I went and tried to order boneless wings. Of corse they are out of that too. So then I decided to just get chicken strips. Guess what? Out of that too. This place was great when it first opened. I am only giving one star because it makes you. I had the worst experience at the popeyes location than I've ever had at any restaurant EVER. It has been a week, I am writing this review late because I have been very busy with moving into the area and with the holidays. But I have never had such an awful experience at any restaurant like I had here. I love popeyes chicken, I buy it pretty often once a week or once every two weeks. But I will be going out of my way to purchase popeyes chicken because I will never order from this location again, I would rather drive 30+ miles than to ever go to this store again...let me tell you why. 1st of all. I ordered on the app, the app gives you an option for in store pick up or to go through the drive thru. So order ahead of time like I usually do on the app and pick the instore pick up, my order was supposed to be ready at 3pm. I got there 5 minutes later because I recently had an infant and getting anywhere on time is a challenge. I go inside the store, mind you the app said I could go inside, I didn't see any sign warning me "drive thru only" or "inside closed" PLUS the store door wasn't locked! So I went inside as if this was a normal pick up. I was RUDELY greeted with " Why are you in the store, no one is allowed in the store" so I apologized and told them the app said i could pick up my order inside and it was an accident. (Even though I already paid was inside and they could of just handed my order to me because it should of been ready anyways) the male worker said "it doesn't matter, you have to got through the drive thru and the app was wrong" I was instantly upset because I ordered ahead of time, and it was starting to get busy. There wasn't a line when I went inside the store but now there was a lonnnnggggggg lunch line by the time he told me I had to get back in line in the drive thru line. BUT I did it no questions asked. So 2ndly, I wait in the drive thru line for 30 minutes I KID YOU NOT. it was the SLOWEST service I have ever had at any fast food restaurant and any popeyes I've ever been to. By the time I got to the speaker box, I explained that I was just in the store accidentally and I had already ordered on the app. The lady on the headset told me to pass the cars and park by the window. So that's what I did. At the time it didn't look wrong because they had another car pulled up....but then an additional 15 minutes passed. I continue to look to see where my order was, and I instantly knew something was wrong because the workers at the window kept making mean faces at me and looking at me like they were confused why I was parked beside the line by the window. The same rude worker knocked on my window and verbatim he said " ma'am is there a reason why you're parked in the middle of no where?" As rude as you could imagine him saying that. This was totally unacceptable. Already peeved by the whole situation I scolded the worker. I said " 1st of all I will not tolerate you talking to me like that ANYMORE, 2ndly again the app told to do A, but you told me to do B, 3rd the lady on the headset TOLD ME to move forward, and 4th I should of had my order by now it's been over an HOUR of a wait." The male employee instantly got defensive on how the app was wrong and how "he had a bad day" which i understand stressful days because I am a surgical technician in the Army BUT more than once he was rude and short and acted like I was unintelligent because YOUR app is not accurate and by THEIR mistakes. Then he told me I had to go back through the drive thru line AGAIN, even though they told me to pull forward AND I had already been inside the store. I told him " NO, I am going to park in that parking spot over there and you're going to walk my food over to me because I have been waiting for over an hour" then I parked in the parking spot because he could talk back to me. By his attitude I would not be surprised his he spit in our or other customers food. I would like a refund for my money because of the awful experience and COLD sloppy food that was given to me. Again I will never order from this location, it saddened me because popeyes is my favorite go to for a cheat treat. Simply disgusting how this location treats customers. read more

After waiting in line for 15 minutes to order, we finally make to the window to pay only to find out it's going to be 11 minute wait on the chicken. The lady at the window was rude. We asked for a courtesy drinks and she stated "you can pay for it"! How rude!! It's not our fault that you ran out of chicken. Customer service sucks at THIS location. The manger on duty should be replaced with someone who's more skilled to run a restaurant. I wish I could leave a negative 10++ review for this establishment. The drive thru is extremely slow and unfortunately the parking lot is set up in such a way that once you are in the drive thru you are trapped there. We have waited upwards of 30 minutes not even to get close to ordering. Only two cars went through within this time. Unfortunately we had this experience when they first opened but thought surely months later they had things better organized. We were wrong. Save your self much wasted time and do not go here. Chick fil a is right around the corner and even with a full drive thru is 100% quicker. I am not one to ever leave reviews but truly wanted to save others from this experience. This restaurant should definitely be under new management or should close down all together. read more

This is the absolute WORST fast food restaurant I've ever been to. Expect to wait 30+ minutes in the drive through. We ordered a simple spicy chicken filet sandwich meal, nothing unusual. Once we opened to eat the sandwich, it was NOT spicy AND instead of putting a filet on the bread, a singular chicken tender was used! Not great service either. They barely listen to what you are saying. Their COVID restrictions aren't great either! The workers were wearing the masks wrong when working drive through!! Don't EVER go to this Popeyes. Food was as expected - We love the spicy chicken and Cajun rice. We weren't disappointed. We didn't experience the bad service that was noted in the other reviews although they all can smile a little bit more and show some southern hospitality.
