I finally broke down to see what all the hype was about Chick-Fil-A and there is one downtown Indy in Circle Center. We scored as there was no line so we quickly walked up to the front and ordered the original, paid and then waited patiently for our name to be called. Our order came out in about 5 minutes. The famous red bag with the red chicken was in my hot little hands. The sandwich bun glistened as I pulled it from its foiled lined pouch. Little pieces of fried chicken hang outside the bun. I cut the sandwich in half to see a row of pickles under the juicy fried chicken. The sandwich was delicious - crispy breading perfectly seasoned with a tender chicken filet. The bun was light and buttery. I really liked it. I was surprised by the low reviews on this location. I keep seeing the little chicken bags walking all round town. Our service was good and food fresh. My advice... go off lunch hour. I'll probably be back and part of the club. Oh yeah. read more

Nuggets were to die for looked spectacular! I would eat there every day if I could! I love the waffle fries and ranch I remember when they didn't have the bottles so I would have like 5 sauce packet's now I get 2 and a bottle. Service was amazing. They brought it right to our table. The food is great, the staff is polite and Chick-fil- A is the number one ranked fast food chain in popularity. My problem is the prices have gone way up. Yes I did the math and Nuggets are now .52 cents each and you can round that up to .53. This is ridiculous! I don't normally do fast food reviews, but I had to in this case. We were at the convention center for a volleyball tournament and walked over to the mall to get Chick-fil-A. The line must have had 100 people plus in it with another 25-30 people waiting to pick up their food. The staff was awesome accomodating the crowd. They were efficient and while it obviously took some time due to the crowd I don't think any other fast food chain could have handled this crowd. Chick-fil-A does a great job training their team. I messed up my order online and didn't realize it until I had already brought it to someone's attention. They were so nice and made me the one I ordered and let me keep the one I messed up on the give to someone else in my office. I offered to pay for the mess and everything since it was my fault. They do a super awesome job during the lunch hour too given how hectic it can be. read more

I don't have any interest in trying to defend the ultra-conservative values held by some of the folks behind Chik-fil-A. And I also wish the employees wouldn't say "my pleasure" when you thank them. That's very off-putting. And I think the waffle fries are just okay. But it doesn't get much better than the Chik-fil-A chicken sandwich. It's such a terrific sandwich that I'm willing to compromise my values and hear creepy stuff like "my pleasure." read more

There is a noob guy working here named Ricky on his badge. He was supposed to ring me up first as I am waiting at pickup counter He just ignored me by calling out others in the line. After waiting for 20 mins for already placed order a lady with asistant manager asked him if he ringed up takeout order and knowing from him that he did not do that she personally did it. I don't know why Chick-fil-As in malls and airports are subpar. It should be all the same Chick-fil-A food, right? Anyway, I got a Market Salad, which is one of my favorite options at Chick-fil-A. Here, the lettuce leaves were peaked and blackening at the edges, and the chicken was weirdly gristly. It was a disappointing lunch, for sure. The saving grace was the fries -- they were nice and soft and familiarly bland. The service was OK, and pretty much what I expected for a Chick-fil-A in a mall, even though I had to keep repeating my order to the kid behind the counter. Speaking of kid, kids love this place. This is always a go-to, no-thinking restaurant to take kids because they will eat fries and they will eat chicken. The kids meals come with an option of fruit instead of fries, which I highly suggest. The fruit is always fresh, and usually comes with the kind of fruit kids like: blueberries, strawberries and apples. read more

It's hard to find a good fast food salad, but they've figured it out. The market salad is so good! I prefer the fried chicken and get the berry balsamic dressing. It comes with a few packs of crunchy add ons, which only make it better. read more

Waited 15 minutes for 1 sandwich with only 3 people ahead of me. My chicken was half the size of my bun and only luke warm. I ordered a deluxe and they forgot the cheese. I brought my sandwhich up and instead of offering to make me a new one they literally brought me a slice of cheese in their hands. I told the manager I wanted a refund and to keep the sandwhich. She seemed puzzled and said but I brought you the cheese. Probably one of the worst Chick-fil-A's I've ever been to and I don't think I've ever been to a "bad" Chick-fil-A. read more

We came to this chick Fil a for date night quick dinner. The kitchen director Larry Hurst was very amazing. We asked for two sauces and then he had to run and grab us more because it wasn't enough and not once did he sigh or huff or catch and attitude. We came back for a refill on drink and he was more than happy to service us and even gave us conversation. Very nice guy and will definitely come back. read more

Talk about quick and efficient with great customer service! I go to this Chick-Fil-A location quite often during lunch. They are always packed with a line but MAN do they know how to keep the line moving and with a friendly smile. I come here usually on Fridays for lunch (which may be the busiest time) and I've never had the wrong order. We're downtown Indianapolis for a conference and got to mall food court at closing time. There were a lot of people coming in. While other restaurants shut down, Chick-fil-A stayed open to continue to serve people. Our cashier was Cynthia and had the sweetest attitude even though it was nearly a half an hour extra! I'm all by myself at a conference in Indianapolis. Poor me. Sniff. Upon arrival I rang a couple colleagues who teach at different institutions, knowing they're here in the city, somewhere, to see if they had dinner plans, but alas, no one answered. After a couple hours, I meandered out of my downtown hotel to the city convention center, picked up my conference materials, then began wandering the streets. It began to rain, which reminded me of home. And how I hadn't eaten anything substantial all day. Not having much luck in locating take out, my eyes lit up when I saw the word, "MALL." Perhaps I might find some cool Indianapolis-esque food court options. While on the mall's second floor, I located what I thought was a food court just up one flight of steps. As I reached the top, a beacon of neon light that I hadn't seen since living in Texas beckoned to me: Chick-Fil-A. I was never a huge fast food fan, but was nevertheless drawn to Chick-Fil-A while on lunch breaks while residing in the Lone Star State. Twenty years later, here I was. But something is different now: I can't eat gluten. Well, I could, but I prefer not to spend the rest of my evening doubled over with stomach cramps. Anyway, as I cautiously approached, I was thrilled to see several salad options. I asked the very helpful server for a suggestion, and he recommended the chargrilled chicken and fruit salad. For a total of $6.20, I received fresh lettuce, carrots, apple, mandarin oranges, strawberries, red grapes, jack & cheddar cheese, a berry vinaigrette, and the wonderful Chick-fil-A chicken I always remembered. The salad was also to come with granola, but the server offered me sunflower seeds instead. Yeah! Other salad choices include breaded chicken strips & salad, Southwest chargrilled salad, and a few others I embarrassingly do not recall. A variety of salad dressings were available, too. The downside, of course, is the location: a food court, which is responsible for the four-star rating. O Chik-Fil-A of the centre city mall in Indianapolis, you do not disappoint. I live in a part of the country with the nearest Chik-Fil-A being a good 40 minute drive, and thus not really worth it. But on a fine Friday at GenCon, you are a short walk from the Indianapolis Convention Center on the skywalks, and full of yummy chicken goodness and dipping sauces. fast. tasty. i like. in fact, so much, that my wife went back the next day and got herself lunch there... picked up an order for me while i was at a seminar. good food, friendly staff. dining area is food court style - grab a table anywhere you can find room. Being in the heart of downtown, the mall is always packed on weekends and lunch hour during the week. And of all the food court options, this is always the one with the longest line. Yet somehow Chick-fil-A manages to get through the line faster than any other place in the food court. And the food is still great too! Only complaint is that your service is hit or miss. Some employees are extremely nice and welcoming, others look like maybe they'd rather be anywhere else but at work. But all in all, this is a bright spot in this mall. read more

Had a huge order and waited awhile and the food came out cold half of the drinks were watered down. And forgot some of our orders. Co-worker went back and the manager told her she was lying and she has to pay double for the food that she never even got. Very disappointing. No matter how busy this place is, the people are friendly and the service is quick. I work in a building connected to the mall so it's my lunch go-to. The owner is awesome and the food is great. I love chick-fil-A no matter what but this one is extra special. read more

We really like Chick-fil-A. Their product is usually very good. Today I tried the Fish Filets. I like cod, but the fish was very thin and mostly breading. I would recommend that you stick with their Chicken. I think the fish will only be offered during Lent. That's OK with me! read more

They gave me raw chicken. I called to ask for a replacement, so they brought me tater tots. I called and said they brought me the wrong item, they didn't believe me. I went down on my break to get my money back. They were petty enough to only refund the chicken off the receipt instead of comping the meal. I offered to give back the untouched tater tots and I was told "well we didn't give you those so you can keep them." ??? Unprofessionalism at its worst. read more

Despite expense account dinners at St. Elmo's, Shula's, and Ruth Chris, it is the Chick-Fil-A in the Indy mall that is the highlight of my trip to Indianapolis every February. I apparently am not alone in feeling this way as I seem to win new friends every year simply by bringing an assortment of chicken sandwiches, tenders, and fries back with me for lunch. The staff at this location could not have been nicer on my last visit. One of the guys I was having lunch with was recovering from shoulder surgery and still wearing a sling. The attendant actually carried his tray and entire meal over to him at our food court table so he wouldn't have to balance it. (Of course I had forgotten all about him and was totally useless.) Then when we were finishing up (aka inhaling) our meal, the same woman actually came back and asked if we wanted refills or needed anything. I don't eat at many food courts, but I have never had that experience before. I don't know if it's midwest pleasant hospitality or that Chick-Fil-A is just awesome in general. The best part of all is that if you are staying at the Westin, the Crowne Plaza, or coming from the stadium or the convention center, you don't even need to walk outside.
