My first time coming here & I can honestly say this was the best semi-fast food chicken I've had in awhile. Chicken was full of seasoning (unlike similar places *cough cough* canes) I got the 3 & 3 meal or something like that - it was 3 wings and 3 tenders, fries and a piece of toast. You can choose the seasoning for the wings but only a sauce for the tenders as they come uniformly seasoned. The highlight of my visit was the freaking strawberry cheesecake jar dessert! OMG! You can order your chicken spicy with a number of different levels of heat. You order and they bring food to the table. Food comes out in a quick 5 minutes. We had Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and fries. The chicken batter was crispy, meat moist and there was mayo and pickle on the sandwich. It was good and not too much food. At $5, it was a great deal for a good sandwich. The fries were also very good and generous portion that is easily sharable. I would have preferred a little less salt. I'm kind of disappointed in this food chain. First time going, I was under the impression that it was going to give me the same type of food style like Raising Canes and Zaxby. However, the food was underwhelming. I got the four piece tender meal. I got to pick two dipping sauces and I picked garlic parmesan and buffalo sauce. I have had better tenders. The garlic parmesan sauce tasted like the dipping sauce that you would get at a seafood boil restaurant. I do not recommend. I will say that I also got the spicy barbecue dipping sauce and the Buffalo and they were a 10 out of 10 . Any extra sauce is a $.39 charge. I tried my brother, six piece wings. He got his wings sauced in buffalo sauce unfortunately for us, the sauce was cold. He said we should've went to Buffalo wild wings that's how underwhelming it was. The sweet tea was decent. This is my second time here I went on 4/24 and again on 5/2. I live near Greenfield but this was definitely worth the travel. The homemade cayenne ranch is delicious with just a hint of heat. Chicken is crispy and the seasoned fry and so good. They also have sweet and unsweetened tea, peach tea and raspberry tea as well. What? Yummy yummo! The staff was very courteous also. Today was Grand Opening for Slim Chickens in Traders Point. They tore down the former Macaroni Grill :( and built the new restaurant over the past year. I ordered the Chick's Meal. 3 Piece chicken tenders, Fries, Garlic Toast and a Dipping Sauce. I jokingly asked the young lady to tell me about the 17 dipping sauces. We tried this location out for lunch on a Tuesday as it isn't too far from our office. It was pretty busy when we arrived but only two people in front of us in line. We placed our order with a friendly young lady who was clearly not enjoying the rush. On my last visit (which is probably the last visit to this location) the young lady that took the order spoke better Spanish than English therefore it took a minute to get the order correct. She then told me it would be .35 cents ok no problem but shut the window and started taking orders. After placing my order it took about 20 minutes. I think that's a long period of time to wait from the ordering station to the pick up window. I questioned the server at the window and her response was that they were busy. She was extremely friendly however I am sharing I felt the wait was too long. As usual the dine-in area was empty and only one person sitting out on the covered area. Not sure if she was an eating patron, employee or someone just sitting there using their LTC. My wife and I entered the store and stood for a couple of minutes and not once were we greeted or acknowledged. I told my wife let's go elsewhere within Traders Point but she was so mad she wanted to stay. After close to 5mins and more people coming in and lining up behind us, a young man with black hair with gold or bright gold streaks in his hair looked at us from the soda machine at the Drive-thru and said something. We couldn't make it out between his heavy accent and the chewing of his chewing gum, his words were indiscernible. He finally came over to take our order and even then he was hard to understand. I was so done with him and the piss poor service as I've really tried hard to give this restaurant a more than fair shot, and have offered suggestions on making it better. We finally got our two salads and even then, when Test Number 4 Manager brought our order to us, it was hard to understand what the hell he was saying. The manager Jessica Ortiz appeared to be working in the back with another cook staff member. The entire time of our visit, we only saw 4-6 cars max in the Drive- thru, no one in the sitting area and no real sense of a crowd for a Friday evening. Needless to say I'm done with Slim Chicken's. We as hard working people work too hard to go places and get bad service, watch the unprofessionalism of employees and pay them for this treatment. I was out in the area decided to have try their food on their official grand opening day of Monday Oct. 9th. The location is on the Northwest side in the Trader's Point area. There are plenty of parking spots, no stairs, accessible areas. The new fast food restaurant does have out door seating, once walking in the building since it's a restaurant everything was clean, bright easy to read menus, the dinning isn't big. For, my late lunch I ordered the eight wing meal that was tossed in honey BBQ sauce, received two ranch sauces, fries for my side, and instead of a soft drink I ordered an oreo shake with extra oreos. When they say Slim Chickens they definitely mean that since for the price of the wings were little to no meat on it. So good! Cayenne chicken sandwich is incredible, tasty blend of meaty goodness and rich creamy spicy sauce, an easy favorite sandwich of all time. Buffalo wrap also does good but cannot compete. This location recently opened when I dropped in, realized not just from the lack of landscaping but kitchen took its big time. Cannot fault that at all tho should've realized the wait would drag going in, can highly recommend regardless for a positive staff experience and amazing sandwich I was served. The setup is similar to chickfila, where they take your order outside, note your name, and color of your car. They still asked for our name at the window. My toast was soft, garlicky, and buttery. Overall, I would come back to try the wings or tenders tossed in a sauce.
