Clean and spacious restaurant. Staff were very friendly and engaging. Grilled cheese and burger were great. Chocolate shake was very good. Quick service for a takeout.

We placed order with the gentleman I order burger cheese fry. And west coast chicken and shake with no tomatoes. And after I pay like thirty something dollars and add 20 percent tip. My order is wrong ! Tomatoes on sandwich and no cheese fries! They get busy now and got to wait. But my food is here and I have incomplete meal. Definitely not happy! Typical ambiance for this chain .

This was my first time trying this burger chain it was good, i would not go out of my way to get it again. The patties are just a little over salted and i feel like that is what keeps people coming back, next time i will try a shake. Service was fast and staff is very welcoming. I was even handed my take out order also enjoyed to foosball table while i waited for my uber

Somehow I've never been to a Shake Shack, so I ordered delivery one day last week to work. I kept it basic and got a Shackburger with fries. I did get a little fancy and upgrade to cheese fries. The burger was good and I liked how fresh-tasting the veggies on top were. The fries were pretty good too and I appreciated the option for cheese on the side since I was getting delivery. Everything was packaged well for delivery. I think I want to be a burger person but I'm just not a burger person, which is probably why I have never gone out of my way to stop at a Shake Shack before.

Been here a few times, burger is always great. I go for the double smokestack. Got a cherry blossom shake that was awesome! Service is solid, bathrooms are clean. Store is generally clean. I will say today though while I'm eating there was a guy grinding concrete, so I got to inhale a bunch of silica dust and shorten my lifespan by a week or so. But besides that. Pretty good. A bit pricey though. 4 stars typically, 2.5/3 today due to needing a shower after.

Shake Shack always smacks, especially after a Saturday afternoon of drinking! The SmokeShack burger is always delicious.

Strawberry Frosted Donut Shake

This was my first time ever visiting Shake Shack and it was a bit....underwhelming for me. I've heard a lot about it so I wanted to try it for myself. With the word "shake" being in the name I thought that they would have top tier shakes, but that wasn't the case, in my opinion. I opted for the strawberry frosted donut shake and it was all one note. I didn't get any strawberry flavor from it and there were waxy sprinkles all throughout the shake which was really unpleasant. The staff was a bit unfriendly as well. They seemed to be bothered that we ordered at the counter instead of the kiosk. The place was very clean and spacious, but I'm not sure if we'll be returning

I ordered a cookies and creme malt shake! It was thick and Lucious! I got bits of cookies and a great taste of malt. The inside was really nice, tons of seating and tvs with sports games on! The service was nice one of the employees approached us in the self check out area and offered assistance. Solid shake spot!

I went with a friend to Shake Shack for lunch since it was walking distance from work. We arrived around 11:15 and it wasn't busy at all. It was very clean, had multiple TVs and plenty of seating. I had the Shroom Burger with Fries and my friend ordered the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar Burger with Fries. I really like how the fried portobello mushroom on my burger was really crispy and I wasn't expecting it to be stuffed with melty cheese. It was really good. The fries were also good and crunchy. However I did feel like my lunch meal was a bit too expensive and for that reason I'm not sure I would go back.

The hair in the cheese was no extra charge.

This was our first visit to this location of Shake Shack and will be our last! I ordered on the app and our Father's Day lunch was ready when we walked in. As soon as my husband opened the box his burger was in I saw a long black hair on top of the white cheese! If I saw it that quickly why didn't the employee that packaged it. I took it back up to the counter and told the employee. She apologized and said she would have another one fixed. But she didn't care. My husband ordered the new bourbon double cheeseburger. A new burger was made for him. While we were eating there was an employee in the dining room and I asked if he was the manager and he replied yes. So I told him what had happened and his reply was "well no one put it there on purpose, these things happen!" Ok, he also didn't care!

Crispy crinkle fries! So good!

First time shacker and last time shacker. Our burgers were, in a word, gross and totally bitter. Why is this place popular?

Ask the Community - Shake Shack Downtown Indianapolis

Honest question: is Shake Shack a front for selling Herbalife, Advocare or Arbonne products? There are way too many shake "pop-ups" out there that are merely a front for predatory MLM/pyramid schemes and I won't support those kinds of scams.

No It's not. Those MLM shake fronts are fronts for protein shakes, and usually small chains of chains at all. These are milkshakes, mainly a burger place and a massive chain started on the East Coast.

Vegan friendly which is great for a burger place. You can come here and pig out while bringing someone who doesn't enjoy the slaughter - a big plus for extended family outings. A couple of other pros are there is a whole freaking parking lot which is unusual but awesome. The full bar has plenty of options including great craft beer. Last but not least the cheese curds are the best in Indy that I'm aware of. I've had a couple of their burgers so far and I don't think you can go wrong with them. The Motörhead is basically a Greek style burger which I found to be exceptional. Burgers are cooked to how you like it so execution is also phenomenal. The Neurosis is your Swiss and mushroom style burger, also great. While it's tempting to go off of the name when ordering I would try to make sure the palette matches your tastes - there's way too many options. Big portions so plan to carry around a to go box after.

It fits right in with the Fountain Square neighborhood! This burger had a lot going on. Chicken, waffles, bacon and a sweet syrup making it taste like something you'd want to eat for breakfast. Everything worked, except the actual burger. And since that was supposed to be the star here, I knocked it a little for not meeting burger expectations. Unfortunately the burger was not seasoned at all. You can probably tell just by looking at it that it was also pretty dry. All the other elements were holding this together and the burger itself got lost because of the lack of seasoning and flavor. No complaints with service or presentation! Just needs improvement on the actual burger, at least with this one anyway.

Peanut butter and strawberry compote on a burger doesn't sound like it would taste good but everything complimented the burger perfectly. The patty alone was cooked perfectly and juicy. The peanut butter was actually pretty subtle and not overpowering and the strawberries definitely give it a sweet and savory type of flavor. Definitely had to add on the truffle Parmesan fries which were good too, they had the perfect crunch and seasoning level even after a 15 minute car ride home. The customer service was honestly mediocre, not rude but they didn't really greet you. Regardless, I'm looking forward to coming back to try more of their unique burgers!

Brussels were over sauced but well cooked. Our beers were basically room temp unfortunately. Not sure if there was something wrong with their kegs as it was a really hot day. Vibes were not there. It has potential but it was basically dead in there, maybe 5-6 other tables seated. As for the service, unfortunately it was not good. They had one person bartending, serving, and managing the whole place (~6-8 tables while we were there) Naturally, it took a while for them to take our orders, for our food to come, and for the check to come/be paid. They were also kind of scatter brained and mixed up a part of our order, we just went with it as we didn't want to wait longer. One couple sat down at the bar, waited around for several minutes and left the restaurant before anyone stopped to get them drinks. Just not worth coming back to again when there's so many other places to go. Maybe would order a burger for pickup/to-go as it was quite good.

We complimented it, asked where they found it, and before we knew it, we were chatting with a wonderful couple who had traveled all the way from overseas just to watch Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever play that night. Moments like that are one of the reasons I love Indianapolis on game days. The patio was the perfect place to soak it all in. Fever fans filled the sidewalks, kids proudly carried homemade signs, and there was an excitement in the air that only comes from a city rallying behind its team. We could have people-watched for hours. Our waitress was exactly what every server should strive to be. Friendly, relaxed, and genuinely fun to talk to, she somehow mastered the art of appearing right before we found ourselves looking around for her. We never felt rushed, but we also never waited for anything. The food held up its end of the bargain too. The fried mozzarella disappeared embarrassingly fast and earned a solid 9.3 on my unofficial stretch meter. Crispy on the outside, perfectly gooey inside, with a marinara sauce that was every bit as good as the cheese itself. The chef salad was fresh, generously loaded with toppings, and easily big enough for a meal. I honestly couldn't tell you what beer I ordered... Because what I remember most is the experience. Sharing appetizers on a sunny patio, meeting fellow basketball fans from halfway around the world, and watching Indianapolis come alive before tipoff. It reminded me that sports have a funny way of turning complete strangers into friends. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're headed to Gainbridge.

They primarily have table service but also a small bar "inside" - when the weather is nice, they open up the garage doors to make the entire establishment be outdoors. The staff that we encountered were all very friendly. Food is fantastic here, we ordered from the Devour menu back in August and got the burger and pulled pork sandwich with fries. They bring your food out on a giant sheet of butcher paper, so you're more than welcome to make a mess at the table! Everything was scrumptious, and the fries home as leftovers are as delicious as when you get them fresh. Perhaps that's why they're called the Best Fries in the World! They disappeared fast, came served on paper, and were crispy, hot, and delicious. We ordered the 2 10-piece wings (the biggest order available), including one batch cooked extra crispy. The wings were good, and I especially enjoyed the Fat Dan's hot BBQ sauce over the regular BBQ. I really liked the extra crispy wings. My boys also wanted burgers. One ordered the Wake N Bake Burger and the other got the Fat Dan's Burger. Both looked tasty, and neither of them complained. The ambiance strikes a nice balance between sports bar and family friendly restaurant. There is seating both inside and outside, and when the weather is nice, they open the large doors to create an open-air feel. That's where we sat, and I enjoyed it. Service was quick and efficient, which was much appreciated since my family arrived hungry. This is a solid spot for burgers, wings, and fries.
