I would like to say this location STILL does an AMAZING job with getting you your food fast and the staff are extremely professional and accommodating. Whenever I use the drive through, I am able to get my food within less than 10 minutes of me driving up. I went to the New Alhambra location one time and there were 4 people on their phones, talking and only one person helping man the drive thru window and handling food. It took me half an hour to get through for breakfast. I have also tried the Arrowhead location and still I have not had as good of an experience than this location at Thunderbird. So I have to visit this particular location because it's a near my work. Several times I received the waffle fries and they had way too much skin on them, black spots or they're way over fried. Excellent job at catering. We ordered boxes for a celebration of life hosted at a park. They delivered on time, and set all the boxes out for us. Very professional, and courteous to my family. I'm a big fan of Chick-Fil-A, but this location isn't great. Usually, the franchises are fast, efficient and friendly. This one? Not as much. Went there Friday afternoon. Wasn't particularly busy there. A few of the low-lights: - Pre-ordered, and went to the pick up counter. Employee 'Gabby' didn't acknowledge me standing right in front of her. Finally looked up at me after about 30 seconds and just walked away. Someone else came over to ask if I needed help. Not very Chick-Fil-A like! - The meal took about 20-25 minutes. Uncharacteristically long for this business. - Fries were room temperature. -Went back up after meal to order just one additional order of fries. Figured they would just hand them to me, but was given the table marker. Was still waiting for this one order of fries 10-15 minutes later, had to go back to the counter and ask. This is basically the only Chick-Fil-A I go to now because the food is so well prepared! I've been to other locations near here but this is by far the cleanest and best tasting location! Also, their drive thru is really well managed especially during rush hour. Came around 6 pm the other night and the drive thru line was so long that the parking lot was filled in both directions. I normally would have just left, but then I noticed the Operator himself was out standing in the parking lot helping people get into the drive thru and into the rest of the parking lot. I have never seen a person in management do this at any other food place! It was really amazing to see that instead of staying inside and letting the employees handle the intensely packed drive thru, he was right there with them! So on my lunch break my food order got messed up on Chick-fil-A at Thunderbird and 59th Ave. but when I called , the owner Troy was extremely rude and condescending and argued for 20 minutes. Then he said he wanted to discuss further in person. Then when I explained that I didn't have time to stand on the side of the curb and argue with him in person he told me he would not replace the order. Recently I had to place a large catering order for one of our local Elementary schools. At one point in time I had a catering directors contact however that person no longer works for the company. I am so fortunate and thankful for the Chick-fil-A located at 59th Ave. and Thunderbird Rd. Dalene, the Marketing and Catering director immediately helped me with my order and made this a seamless and easy process. Due to time constraints my logistics wernt going to work for pickup so Delene delivered the food to us herself. The franchisee at this location is so lucky to have her working with them. Her position is vital and she really made an impression on me. Going forward, I will be using this location exclusively for all of my catering needs. Still not opening the dinning room. They keep saying they don't know how to accommodate the very busy drive thru and dinning room. Well Its pretty simple after they open the dinning room they won't have as much drive thru. If they want to try to keep both going strong then re-locate, but the managers appear not to be smart enough to figure this out. With the way they are handling this I've stopped going there, everyone appears to be very confused on how to operate this place. If there hasn't been a accident yet there will be the parking lot was a nightmare the last time I went, cars parking every different direction blocking people trying to find a spot to park with the lot guy getting more confused as the time went by. I don't think they will ever open up the dinning room, the way they're doing this now they have less work to do, I think they enjoy what they are doin now making lots of money doing nothing for the customers. This was my first and last visit to Chick-fil-A. My 3 year old granddaughter and I arrived at noon and the line heading east on Thunderbird to turn left into the parking lot was five cars back. We were lucky to find an available space to the immediate right facing 59th Avenue. Huge mistake! When we attempted to leave at 12:45, I waited 23 minutes to back out. Not a single person would stop to allow us to do so. I was afraid my car would overheat and we were late to a dentist appointment up the street one block. How in the world the City Planning and Zoning allowed this potential debacle is beyond me. It's an absolute gridlock disaster. Considering people just can't be kind to one another, on top of the worst traffic design imaginable, perhaps CFA should hire parking attendants. Sad commentary and definitely not worth the mediocre sandwich and soggy fries. read more
