Unfortunately, it's impossible to get past the wait time here to give them much of a chance. It's the slowest chick-fil-a I've ever been to. They have multiple entrances to the drive thru so you could sit in one side of the line forever while other people come in from a different direction and get ahead of you. I order on the app which makes zero difference. There's no way to let them know you are outside waiting so you just sit in the line and they make your food once you tell them at the drive through. I thought going in might be quicker, so I did that one time. Nope, I think it took longer. I'd probably come here more but it's slow and frustrating. They really need to figure out a better system to run this chick-fil-a location. Maybe create a mobile order only lane as some other locations have done. This would encourage people to use the app more cutting back on time in line. As I sit here today, there is only 1 line open at the drive through. Time to upgrade.

    Guess what's inside?

Oh, Chick-fil-A, how I've missed you. Coming from the Northeast there is little chance that I could devour Chick-fil-A. I decided to make a quick stop at this location while passing through the state during my road trip. The line outside was horrendous. Yes, I said the line outside. The line for drive thru wrapped around the restaurant and parking lot causing customers inconvenience. I waited for the cars in front of me to make their way up to the drive thru window and then parked when I could. The line inside was also horrendous, but it moved much faster than outside. The staff appeared to be stressed and overwhelmed but nonetheless friendly and efficient. I had the original fried chicken sandwich and asked for the Polynesian sauce. Phenomenal! Hoping to enjoy another meal at Chick-fil-A soon again.

Now obviously it's only drive thru, so we sit in line and finally get to the front.

When I want a bite and don't want to cook (rarely) and I'm in town I will stop and get a bite to eat bc I will be satisfied. It is definitely a vibe and of course the service is great. I love coming home (in town) and interacting with my people . There's nothing like my New Orleans people. As long as this place is around we will visit when we are in town.

Sigh. Disclaimer: the food just isn't the same anymore…read more My parents live on the Westbank, so whenever I come home to visit and stay more than a few days, I always make a stop here, specifically for their stewed okra on Tuesdays. I hadn't eaten here in over a year, but two years ago that okra SMACKED. It was so good I had to stop myself from eating the entire container in one sitting. This time, though, it tasted completely different. Honestly, I mostly picked over it. It did have a decent amount of seasoning meat in it, which I appreciated, but the flavor was just off. My mother agreed. I also ordered the stuffed catfish, and unfortunately the catfish tasted almost entirely like blackened seasoning and nothing else. It used to have much more flavor and balance than that. The yams were fine, and the seafood dressing tasted the same as usual, but I was really disappointed because the okra was always the star of the show for me. Since that's no longer hitting the same, I honestly won't be back. And mind you, this was after standing in line for ~90 minutes. I will say the workers still have that Southern hospitality, and the customer service itself was pleasant. But while standing in line and watching the workflow, it was easy to think of multiple ways the business could improve efficiency. I'm honestly surprised those issues haven't been addressed yet. If you want to go for the experience, then sure, go for it. But don't expect to be blown away. For me, the wait time, prices, and food quality just didn't live up to the hype anymore.

I would eat there more often, but the rest of my family doesn't want it as often as I do. I can't vouch for it's authenticity first-hand but it is very good. Be brave and order something that sounds weird. You will love it. (GOAT!! They have Curry Goat!!) Everything seems fresh and homemade. Fantastic. I can't stop raving about it. The vibe is a little weird at first. It is inside a Pilot gas station/truck stop with a couple of other food offerings ("food court style" there's a hamburger place and something else). It's a little overwhelming at first because there aren't descriptions of the dishes. If you go to their website you will find good descriptions and photos of everything and you can order online. If you order ahead, then your food will be waiting when you get there and you won't have to hang around the truck stop very long.

Chacha's Dhaba Indian Cuisine is hiding inside that Pilot at 802 Ave G and I am personally offended that more people don't know about it. Bold, authentic, made from scratch, and so ridiculously good that I stood there in the middle of a truck stop questioning every fancy restaurant I have ever paid too much money for. Top 3 meals in the United States. Not top 3 truck stops. Top 3 ANYWHERE. :) If you pass this exit and don't stop, that is a choice you are making against yourself.
