Mykell at Chicago Locksmiths is the best! He came out at 9pm on a Friday night in 0 degree weather to re-key our new home. It took him a while and he patiently sat in his car, making sure all of our needs were met. He was courteous, professional and very informative. Will absolutely call this company and Myke next time I need help! read more

Walter and Nick were awesome. Fast, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Cost was great. They also guarantee the results of their work. They even offered me a free coffee mug! I wanted to support a local business. So glad I chose them. Note: some internet sites say they close at noon on Sundays, but they are actually open until 7. read more

Chicago Locksmiths was EXTREMELY helpful when I needed my locks changed. They not only came when they said they were but confirmed ahead of time. Tory changed 4 sets of lock in under an hour and was very helpful in explaining the new system. I appreciated his professionalism and timeliness immensely and would absolutely use them again. I also got a discount for mentioning Yelp! read more

Best service. Highly recommend. Called in at 10 am regarding key extraction (my key broke in half, half got stuck in my condo mailbox, really nicely jammed all the way in there). Very pleasant lady on the phone took my info down, said a tech will call me in a few. The tech guy called not twenty minutes later that he will be there in 45 minutes. Showed up within the time frame, got to work quickly and got the broken piece out, sprayed the lock with something at the end and I saved myself a considerable headache not dealing with the condo association. By noon the problem was gone. Very reasonable prices. read more

I recently had new locks put on at my home and Haskel did a great job. He was professional, efficient and honest. I highly recommend this company! read more

These guys were so nice, and fast! Absolutely fantastic service. I needed four sets of keys and they threw in one for free

Contacted Chicago Locksmith when my key fob for my car was lost after hours. Phone was answer by a person who then check with the tech to make sure that he had a spare fob. Ben called back promptly to let me know he and that he would contact me when he was on his way. He was currently at another job. When Ben finished he called saying he was about 20 minutes away and would call when he was by my garage door. 20 minutes later he was there and within 10-15 minutes I had a new fob plus a spare. Both Ben and Melissa who answered the phone were extremely helpful and professional. Would Highly recommend Chicago Locksmith. They were very responsive and helpful. read more

Ryan came out and deleted our lock. He did a great job I would recommend this service thank you!

It was my first time getting keys made at this business. I'm glad I went into Chicago Locksmith. They were quick and friendly to boot. I've been to places to get keys made where you don't know if you should just turn around and leave because they seem angry. Prices are reasonable also. read more

I've been here twice to have keys made for vehicles i had lost keys to (old scoots and mopeds). Both times I was helped by the friendly staff immediately, with a finished product in less than an hour for very fair prices. My go-to key guys. read more

I found myself locked out of my condo for the first time ever, and I can't say enough good things about Chicago Locksmiths. Everyone I dealt with was extremely polite, the service was prompt, and my locksmith, Ishmael, went the extra mile for me by cleaning my dirty, aged locks before he left! I hope I don't have need of their services again anytime soon, but if you find yourself locked out of your home and in need of a locksmith, Chicago Locksmiths has my highest recommendation. They're the best! read more

Great service! Thank you Janet! Very helpful in an emergency. Will definetly use you all in the future.

I went in the location at 2048 N Milwaukee, this morning to get an extra key for my apartment. Jenna was great. I stopped by on my way to work. She was able to make the key very quickly and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Thank you so much! read more

I contacted Chicago Locksmiths via Yelp to receive a quotation on rekeying 4 doors to a master key for a recently purchased house. They were wonderful, responded to my request within a hour, provided a detailed estimate with Yelp discount. The next day Shawn their specialist called me to let me know he was enroute to my house within 30 minutes of the appointment window. Shawn went right to work and did a wonderful job! The previous owner of the house had lost keys to all but two of the doors, no problem for Shawn who was able to pick the locks for rekeying!! Chicago Locksmiths were responsive, competitive in their pricing, and very professional in their installation. read more

Excellent prompt service. Friendly staff and ready to help. Really appreciate having something local in the neighborhood.

Todd was absolutely great! Unfortunately my door would simply not open Wednesday night,I had my keys but the door just wouldn't budge, exactly what I needed after a long day at work . I can't say enough good things about Chicago Locksmith and Sky, the locksmith who helped us out. We just moved into a new house and wanted to change the locks - 8 of them all together. Sky (working for Chicago Locksmith) came out within the house and did the entire job quickly and thoughtfully. He made us feel very comfortable with this company. Would definitely hire again. read more

They were quick and thorough - the guy who helped us was very friendly and showed me things I could do for myself and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. He even told me not to replace a few locks I had asked for because they needed to be replaced differently and he knew I could get a better price if I did it myself. Really appreciated all his help. read more

Incredibly fast service! I stopped in on my way home tonight for a key duplication, and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The woman helping me was so nice, but honestly- so is everyone who has helped me there! I've been coming to this locksmith for all my key/lock needs and I don't plan on going else where! read more

Worst locksmith service I have EVER had. Had someone come out to unlock my car and give me a new key. After spending $220 I was given a key that does not unlock or lock any doors besides the driver side. After having to deal with the panic alarm and manually locking each door every time I finally decide to call them back because I knew it was not right. I was told the first time that it was right and I would need to pay additional money for it to lock the doors. I asked why I was never told this when I initially got the key and he had no answer for me. After talking with others, once again I knew this was not right. I call back and the customer service was rude and not even apologetic. He was constantly cutting me off and throwing me on hold while I was in the middle of talking. After re-explaining my story again the customer service finally decided the set up was most likely wrong and that I would be responsible for coming out to their shop (over an hour away) for it to be "most likely fixed". He couldn't even give me a solid answer that they would help fix the issue they caused and even said "hopefully we won't have to charge you anymore". I am beyond frustrated with this situation as there are so many other locksmiths in Chicago and clearly I just picked the wrong one. Don't waste your time here. read more

Absolutely amazing service! The workers are very nice and they can duplicate many different types of keys. They even allow you to text them a picture of your keys and they will let you know whether or not they can duplicate them. I've never seen any locksmith provide that. Lastly, their prices were competitive and they use high quality materials. I highly recommend Chicago Locksmiths to anyone who are looking to get their locks and/or keys fixed. read more

Mike is the man. Very straightforward service. No complaints

Mykell showed up early, was up front about the costs, and got done quickly. Booking and service we're both very well done.

I am writing again to acknowledge how happy I am with Chicago Locksmiths' follow-up to my previously miserable experience. The next day they acknowledged that they had contracted out to a third party due to being overwhelmed with requests and that I was overcharged, apologized, swiftly refunded me the difference, and offered to rekey my apartment. They also said they wouldn't be using that third party again. The technician who came to rekey, Richard, was as compassionate, understanding and helpful as the third-party technician was rude, aggressive, and opaque. He more than made up for the previous wrongs and allowed me to understand why the company is so highly rated. I would definitely request him if I had the chance in the future. My rating is 3 stars as an average of my two polar-opposite experiences. Thanks to the management for their recognition and handling of the situation. read more

Chicago Locksmiths was quick to respond to a quote request, setting up an appointment on short notice. Walter arrived early in the promised time window and quickly and efficiently rekeyed and repaired several locks. Couldn't be happier with the level and value of service. Thanks!! read more

Well, apparently I'm late to this party. I was all excited to get to this Yelp page and give these guys a great review, but it looks like 388 people beat me to it. I gave the owner a call because one of my solid clients with his own business saw that I needed my animal hospital's front door paddle latch fixed ASAP. He highly recommended these guys since he knew them from prior business dealings. Word of mouth and a good reputation still mean a whole lot these days. The owner passed my information along right away and one of his guys, Slava, arrived shortly after. Really great job and reasonable price. I plan to call upon them again, if needed. read more

Great place! Very helpful, courteous and quick. In and out in 3 minutes and not to mention great prices! Highly recommend!

I called Chicago Locksmith after a horrible experience with an amateur locksmith who did not know what he was doing. Long story short, I needed someone with real experience and KNOWS what they are doing and how to treat your investment with respect. I had the pleasure of having Paul Matsas come to home to install some very complicated locks and make some adjustments after the prior locksmith butchered my hardware and door. Paul came, took his time, and had the right tools for the job. Even when he dropped his Dremel and it broke, he came back with a NEW tool and finished the job. He was honest, kind and good at what he did and his attention to detail shined; loved his craftsmanship. He treated my home like it was his and he was respectful and empathic with my prior experience. Moving forward, I called Pauls supervisor after working with Paul and made a note to ensure I get him to come to my home again for future work. If you need someone to do something right, call Chicago Locksmiths and ask for PAUL MATSAS. Worth every penny. read more
