Jonathan was great! I will definitely recommend Chicago Locksmiths to a friend in need.

I am in the process of selling my house and you can imagine the pressure of moving while selling a home. It came to my attention while a potential buyer was during their inspection that we no longer had keys for our antique garage door. I was able to contact Chicago Locksmiths in the morning and literally recurved a quote in around 5 mins. They scheduled my appointment for the evening and not only did my tech Haskel provide great service changing the locks on a near 100yr old door he was able to do so in the window of time that was original planned for him to show. Top tier service from the rep who scheduled me to the install all at an affordable price point. 5 star from me, they really got me out of a bind. read more

I lost my car keys last Sunday night, I decided to call Chicago locksmith since they had such good ratings on yelp, the representative over the phone was really nice and knowledgeable and was able to send a technician over in about hour, Tom arrived less than an hour later, cut me a key and programmed it to my car for a very reasonable price, considering it was a Sunday night... Overall, a great experience! And, if I ever get stuck again, I would definitely use them in the future!! Thanks guys!! Oz read more

Professional, friendly, and affordable. I had to get 6 locks rekeyed and RJ called 30 minutes prior to arrival and completed all doors within 20 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and provided the best and most reasonable options when asked and even prepared extra keys. I would highly recommend this company/specific service provider and would definitely use them again. Wonderful job! read more

I have used Chicago Locksmith twice in the past year as a landlord and I can't say enough about their service. Kenny is very thorough, skilled, and doesn't make you feel stupid for not knowing things like the lock is frozen and needs deicer!!! It's rare to find service like this and I would recommend Kenny and any of the employees at Chicago Locksmith. read more

Best pricing, staff, and timing around. Had available appointments within the next 24 hours. Re-keyed four locks for me and made a bunch of new keys for free! It was for my business. Take advantage of the Yelp deals! $15 for $30 certificate + $10 off for calling and mentioning Yelp. They're awesome. Couldn't be happier about the job they did. read more

This is the only place I use to get keys made. They cut them by hand and I've never had a problem using the copies. Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful! Thanks to Jenna for helping us out the other day! Really great spot :) read more

I lost both keys to my Jeep Liberty. Got a quote from Chicago Locksmiths, they gave best price. Tech named Robert came out, he was so fast and efficient. He went above and beyond to help me with my vehicle. This is the right locksmith to call, you wont be sorry! The dealer wanted me to tow car in and was more expensive. read more

Robert was incredibly responsive, patient, and thorough throughout the entire process of replacing my car keys. Not only was it the most affordable rate I found in Chicago, the entire process was painless. From the initial appointment to having the keys in my hand was less than 5 hours, and Robert's punctuality and quality of work was really appreciated. I highly recommend. read more

Had a good experience when they came out to let me in my condo. I was a bone-head and locked my keys inside. Dominic was quick and courteous, the rate was less than the other quotes and he was pleasant. I'd call them again! read more

Andrae was great! He showed up within a couple of hours of my call to replace lock on my apartment mailbox. I had lost my key, so he drilled the lock to open and replaced it, gave me 2 keys. He checked the new one with me a couple of times and adjusted it until I was comfortable with how it opened. All was done very quickly. Price was reasonable, and I had 10% coupon from the company's website. They didn't charge extra to come same day in the evening. Customer service was good when I called to schedule, broke down the pricing for me. I would recommend Chicago Locksmiths and will use them again if I have a need. read more

Amazing service and friendly staff. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I will definitely recommend my friends and family to Chicago Locksmiths for any key/lock services! read more

Went to get my keys cut and programmed and in less than 20 mins, it was all done and at a very cheap price. I was surprised when I was told what to pay. Dealers are just a rip off. This is the place to be... read more

My car key fell out of my purse and I was locked out at a grocery store parking lot. I was told on the phone that someone would be there in 15 minutes, but they "couldn't give me a price" to get back into my car. He said he couldn't even give me a range of what to expect just to open a car door. Over an hour goes by, and I'm still there waiting. I told my boyfriend that my phone battery was at 1%, so he called Chicago Locksmiths twice to track down my locksmith. Two people told him "I will check and call you right back," and they never did. The website advertises $19, and when the locksmith finally arrived he tells me it'll be $155. I, like anyone, fight back and say he can go home because the website says $19 and he had two opportunities over the phone to tell me the actual price, and then he says he will "settle" at $50, which leads me to believe he is doing nothing but taking advantage of my situation and trying to benefit from it himself. He likely assumed that once he arrived I would pay whatever he said in order to get into my car. He clearly knew that if he told me $155 over the phone, I would have called someone else and he would have lost the business, so he baited me into waiting for him in hopes I would pay what he said once he got there. You're seriously going to advertise $19 services on your website, yet allow your employees to show up and try to take advantage of people like that? I should never have agreed to give this guy a dime, but I didn't want to inconvenience my boyfriend by having him bring me the spare. read more

Had these guys out twice and both times (re-key two separate locks) they arrived within hours, once during the pandemic. Super efficient and friendly. They responded uber quickly via email and honored their coupons both times, the second time without me asking and/or remembering I had used one for the first visit. They are very honest, don't try to up-sell you on services, and have terrific customer service. Kennette and Chris were my techs. Will absolutely use them again. read more

I had a great experience with Richard C of Chicago Locksmiths. He was able to get me into my apartment unit that had one two entrances. He suggested ways where I could save money and since my landlord was threatening to lock me out; he suggested a cost-efficient solution so that my landlord could not do that (which is against the law anyway). read more

Locksmith andrew was very quick and efficient and friendly in unlocking our door for us. Thank u for the great service!

Someone entered our home and tampered with our safe and we couldn't get in to see if anything was missing so we contacted Quick Key Locksmith and they dispatched Carlos who expertly opened the safe and re-keyed our entry door locks. We can't say enough about his professionalism, courtesy, and quality work. We highly recommend Quick Key Locksmith and their locksmith Carlos. read more

Javier got here quickly and I was back in my apartment in under an hour. Very easy process

Call someone else! Quoted us $35 bucks to come unlock our car and when the tech got to the car he said $135 because it would take such a "long time" to unlock the car. It took the technician 10 min to unlock the car w/ a screwdriver and an airbag. Seriously, not worth the $135, jacking us around. The managers, when you call to discuss issuse, want nothing to do with you. Totally worthless! read more

If there is something that irritates me when I spend money, it would have to be non-transparent pricing practices. Or when a merchant provides deceitful estimates for a requested job. I needed a few locks re-keyed, and found Chicago Locksmith here on Yelp with its register of apparently pleased customers. Not having significant experience with a particular or any locksmiths in Chicago, I trusted the consensus and called Chicago Locksmith to schedule an appointment. I described that I needed several different locks re-keyed. I was impressed by the courteous phone staff and further pleased with their price estimates for the different types of locks I described I needed re-keyed. On the day of our appointment, the locksmith sheepishly arrives nearly past our appointment window time and I welcome him warmly. When we look at the locks that I needed re-keyed, his prices were literally twice the estimates I was initially provided, even though my locks are clearly at or very close to what he described as their "base level" or "basic" lock prices. Their explanation was these were "more complicated" so he charged what appeared to be arbitrarily higher prices. No explanation was ever given by either this locksmith or staff from their office as to exactly what type of locks constitute their "basic" prices and then what type(s) of locks exactly demand premium price increases (for re-keying) and how or why. So, I was stuck either paying their "trip charge" to make them go away and instead trying a more upfront and honest locksmith, or just going with this pathetic company that just baited me and totally reeled me in. They got me because obviously I don't need to go through the hassle of scheduling a completely different locksmith company, so I paid their price which was double the estimate and grumbled all the way to my pathetic box (home). The obvious implications of this experience are that my negative experience would have been avoided if the phone appointment person had been significantly more clear about their pricing methods, also so I could compare apples to apples when calling other locksmiths for estimates. Then when I suggested to one of their customer service representatives that when future customers ask them for an estimate, they should inquire about more details about the locks or work requested, so other customers don't experience the same bait and switch disappointment I had, their staff didn't acknowledge the validity of the suggestion. I guess they intend to continue giving ignorant customers (such as myself) deceitfully low estimates and then guilting the consumers into paying obscene rates once they arrive at the job. When I need locks changed or any locksmith services I am definitely going to try any one of the many other well-reviewed locksmiths in Chicago-land. Or at least one who is completely honest and upfront about their service costs. At least for me, I would rather be given a higher honest estimate for a job than a low intentionally deceitful quote. Too bad because I look forward to being a loyal customer to smaller businesses. Poop. read more

The staffs are super friendly and nice. Unlocked my bag lock in a sec. Very great service.

I highly, highly recommend this group. They went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I split time between Seattle and Chicago and was worried about my pipes freezing during the subzero temps. So the technician Tory came to my Lakeview condo in the wee hours of the night while I was gone to not only turn off the main water valve, but waited around to drain all the pipes (kitchen, bathtub, etc...). This is CUSTOMER SERVICE! The first two companies I called denied me saying,"Sorry...we aren't plumbers." I have their number saved in my speed dial just in case I need their help again. Thanks again Tory and Suzzy! read more

They were extremely professional and on time. I appreciated their expert knowledge and I would use them without question. Being locked out of my apartment is the worst. I called Chicago Locksmiths and Richard was there to save me on a wimp and they were there to save me. 100% I recommend them without question. read more

I have a multi level buidling in the city and the gated fence lock wouldn't work so my tenants couldn't use it to enter or leave and left it open. I called in on Sat morning and within ten minutes received a call from technician Tory and told me he would finish up another job up north and call me back. He did within less than an hour, came out and during this cold weather ( wind chill brutal) proceeded to repair the lock. Tory worked his magic and saved my lock so I wouldn't have to replace keys for all my tenants and charged a very reasonable fee. I would recommend this company to all my friends for any lock issues . Ask for Tory as he is prompt, knowledgeable and understands customer servic. read more

Tory came to my place to change up some very old locks. He was incredibly polite, communicative, and did the work thoroughly and for a fair price. It was not an easy or quick job, but he did a great job. Considering all the people who I've tried to have come over to help with smaller jobs that have been rude, ineffective, or absent, this is definitely a business that I would call again. Don't let the address fool you; only the business office is in the loop and they will go all over. read more

Lost my car keys and called Chicago Locksmith. ..They came out very quick and Robert the technician was the best.........

A few days after writing my last review, the company called me and offered me a 40% refund. The owner of the company has since called me back and asked me to update my Yelp review or remove it altogether. So, here I am, updating my review. I'll give them one more star for the effort. But, I am not removing my original review, especially not at the owner's request. read more

I locked myself out of my bedroom- where my phone was charging. I called Chicago Locksmiths (through my laptop..) and in less than 1/2 an hour John Rios was at my door. He was very professional, and got me in fast. Further, he made the time to install a new doorknob in my bedroom door with a working key. The whole process from call to new key took less than an hour. Being locked out really sucks, and it's so comforting to know there's a reliable, professional locksmith within a 30 minute wait that will make everything better, without ripping you off! Highly recommended! read more

Isaac was great, would highly recommend them. We needed to change our locks last minute and he came in less than hour after we called. Very fast, professional and affordable (especially after work ours). 5 stars all around! read more

Perfect locksmith experience- thanks to Jon R. I will use him for all future lock needs and emergencies.

RJ was great! He was efficient and worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Great company, great locksmiths. Thanks again!

I recently locked myself out of my car in the middle of the night. I googled Chicago Locksmiths and ended up calling this company. The tech showed up in 15 minutes, YES just 15 minutes after I hung up with the dispatcher. I was in my car and headed home 5 minutes after he showed up. He was fast, personable, and while calling a locksmith in the middle of the night is always expected to be more expensive, the price seemed more than fair for the outstanding service provided. I hope I don't lock myself out again anytime soon, but if I do I will call these guys. read more

I called Chicago Locksmith because my husband found an old "club" in the garage. The club goes over the steering wheel and locks it in place not allowing it to be driven if the car is stolen. It was the weeknd and we were cleaning out the garage. He placed the car on the street and decided to use the club. On Monday he went outside to go to work and couldn't remember where he put the key to unlock the club. I called other companies. They were rude and wouldn't give me a timeframes.I called Chicago Locksmith, I'm so glad I did. They we friendly, lowest price and there to remove the club quickly. I'll be using them again.
