    Lemon chicken..

3/24/26- Dropped in with my visiting out of town youngest son.. Not too hungry but enough to order a few dishes.. Stir fried fish with greens - always a great tasting fish plate- Went with the lemon chicken- pretty tasty.. Spicy eggplant was really good- : special treat- they gave me a slice of coconut cake (pre birthday ).. Service always attentive- Left with some leftovers..

The place is decorated nicely and the atmosphere fits the dishes, but to be honest, the food was not worth the price point. It's a good place for a date, but the food was average. The egg plant was good, the chow fun lacked meat, the pork dish was mediocre, and the steamed fish could've been better. The service was okay, it could've been better seeing as this place is supposed to be upscale.

Fine dining Chinese food! Beautiful decor and great service. The lychee martini is delish! We came in almost at close and they accommodated us. The spring rolls and potstickers were good. The hot and sour soup was a huge bowl! The stir fried rice noodles were packed with veggies and very flavorful. The star of the night was the 1/2 Peking duck! Perfectly cooked and meaty! We ended with the complimentary almond cookies and the mango tapioca pudding.

This is the first time I came to Chi, the fancy Chinese restaurant inside the Peppermill Casino. I will say it's decorated pretty fancy in here, not like your mom and pop Chinese restaurant that's for sure. Normally, I don't come to places liker this, I'd rather go to a regular Chinese restaurant, but I'm being taken here by a local friend. I see the menu, holy crap, these prices are about double what the same food would be at a regular place. Pot Stickers for $21? Really? or chow mien for $27? OK, I didn't say anything cause I'm not the one paying. There were some real exotic stuff on the menu too, that I had no idea what it was, cause I didn't know fishes had "maws" or what a "Sea Cucumber" even looks like! He didn't order anything too weird at least! We had crab rangoons, pot stickers and beef chow fun with black bean sauce and the honey walnut prawns. I will say, all the food was pretty tasty and cooked well, the chow fun was good as were the prawns .... but I did notice they were $37 just for that dish! We both enjoyed the food here, but me personally I probably wouldn't come back, well, OK, unless I wasn't the one paying! I think a lot of the people eating here must be getting comped cause they're high rollers!

This year, we finally made it to Chi at Peppermill for dinner! Yay! I had wanted to go to this restaurant for so long! First of all, the look and decor is beautiful, sexy, downright retro swanky. See pics! The food is delicious. Each dish is served in large portions. My husband and I ordered the Mongolian beef with white rice. The meat was tender and the sauce was very flavorful, not overly sweet or salty, just perfection! Unfortunately, we had eaten a large breakfast earlier in the day so we only tasted this one dish. It was enough to make us want to come back for a larger dinner in the future, though. The service was equally excellent. Our waiter, in training, John, was terrific. Friendly, helpful, efficient. This is a great place for a romantic date night. The complementary almond cookies are sooo good as well. Wish we could have bought a box of them. Yummmmm

I love it here, my family & I came here 2x to celebrate & the first time was when we tried it and fell in love! Its pricey but definitely good! Kyra/kaira (im not sure how to spell her name) always has great customer service & GREAT recommendations! Always so full of spirit when taking care of our orders making sure everything is going good and we're happy w/ our orders! The atmosphere really sets the vibe for a nice dinner night perfect for family nights & catching up w/ friends.

Made reservations one month in advance, requesting booth, as table . One star off for not getting the booth, even there are several booths available. The restaurant over all is busy, with diners enjoying their dinner. The food is good over all, but the seafood bowl is bit salty, couple of scallops are over cooked which is not a dealbreaker... the gravy is good that will compensate for the scallops mishaps. Peaking duck is moist, perfect with the bun and hoisin sauce. I enjoyed the seafood noodles ... no complaints.

Never disappoints. From the service to the food. We chose the whole Pecking Duck. I prefer mine for the skin to be crispier but it was still good. Lemmon chicken had great flavor. The rice noodle dish was my favorite. Love the salt pepper chicken wings.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in Reno. The food, service, and ambiance is amazing. We got the honey walnut shrimp and fish with vegetables. So good. Check it out.

I frequent Peppermill a lot but only discovered this enclave of a Chinese restaurant. One can easily walk past the 2 large vases by their entrance and pass it by. I think their large video sign makes you turn to it rather to the restaurant entrance. Anyhoo, friendly hostess and personable servers. Beautiful Asian with Red mainlight decor. I like how they can place the plates on the table and everyone grab their servings or the server will make the plate and present it to each patron. A mini show presentation in itself. Best deals are their price-fix holiday menus. They do have a bar area side, too.

Not an omelet, it was supposed to be pad thai

Incredibly beautiful interior but with incredibly bad food. We let our children choose so the dishes were familiar westernized dishes like pot stickers, orange chicken, pad thai. The pot stickers tasted exactly like the ones frozen in a bag from costco, 6 for $20! The orange chicken was thickly battered huge chunks of both dark and white chicken, usually my kids favorite and they barely ate it. The worst was the pad thai, it was very very spicy with a watery vinegary taste and served with a lemon wedge and a thick blanket of scrambled eggs. The white rice was too wet/mushy. We did get a side of mixed veggies that was ok and the dessert of tapioca in mango puree was enjoyed. Server was very kind and provided good service. I noticed most of the staff appeared to be Asian, but I don't think anyone in the kitchen was. Really surprised by the poor quality of the food, especially at this price point. 4 entrees and a dessert was $120+

Updating my review from some time ago - I still think the alcoholic drinks are DELICIOUS! I love a good cocktail that you can't taste the alcohol (but it definitely is in there)! Ordered the orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Both were cooked very well, and very flavorful! Staff was friendly, and no complaints there. Considering it's a Chinese restaurant inside a casino, ambiance wasn't that bad, not too loud from my experience.

Food was waaay too pricey. Came here for my birthday. It's just another typical Chinese cuisine place inside a casino with bougie decor. I wanted the whole fish and lobster. The lobster was overpriced per pound! Like $98 per pound! The whole fish was Not the sea bass that I saw in some reviews. That was disappointing. I wouldn't go back. Spent over $500 on this meal with me and my husband and friends. I would not be going back.

The wood ear in it was excellent, but I've never seen it in pad thai. The thai ice tea was good, maybe a bit heavy on sweetener. I don't understand the high ratings here, based pireh on food. Thai Chili has far better flavors, and is rated lower. The wait staff/food runners lacked politeness, and never checked if we enjoyed our food or needed anyone. Sans the person filling everyone's water, we were never checked on in any other capacity. The restaurant was a cacophony of noise and conversation, I had to lean across the booth to have any chance of hearing my companion. The noise level is overwhelming if you have sensory issues at all. The filling was a little bit sweet, and a little bit savory, and the shell was well fried, crispy, and not oily at all. They were offering a BOGO on the combination plate, and so that's what I went for. I had the garlic chicken, and the chicken with seasonal. Veggies. On both dishes, the chicken was moist and tender. The veggies were done well. Just the right consistency, not mushy at all. The taste was great. The only thing I could say, was, the garlic chicken was a bit spicy. About medium on what I like for spice, you could definitely see the red pepper flakes on that food. Unfortunately, nowhere in the menu did it mention the spicy part of it. I did like it, and the spice was within what I like, but I think the next time I would order something else. The fried rice was very well done with a good flavor also. It was just the rice.
