10 Count Dumplings, smorgasbord for all
    Christine S.

Fun spot located in the back patio of a bar. Cheap food, quick service, and decent menu variety.

Really cute concept. It's located in a food truck nestled by hwy 40 bar and has a really nice patio setup. They have a projector, fire pits, and lots of seating. Menu items are pretty well priced and the food is alright. It's more of a quick bite. It reminds me of frozen dumplings that were reheated though. I'd go back just for the ambiance alone. Definitely a must try.

Thus place was okay. Not gonna lie, I've had my fair game of dumplings and these don't really compare to the ones I've had before. But if you're looking to get a quick bite then by means give it a try. But to me this was an okay spot.

Perfect place to chill and relax at! Especially on a chilly night! So many flavors! They will definitely be hot and ready

    Dumplings. Very affordable.

Holy moly, these dumplings are incredible. It's only right their name is Dumpling Queen! They also have noodles & more! So this little food truck is set in place & shares the fun ambience with "Abby's Hwy 40" dive bar. Just an FYI. Which I think is super awesome. Plenty of outdoor seating! & a long fireplace! So come get a beer and dumpling and enjoy next to the fire pit(: I'll probably go again this weekend lol that's how much I love their dumplings.(: Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the menu! +food +patio

Very good steamed dumplings and helpful service in the expansive courtyard. Dog friendly is a plus!

Pork dumplings and pork and shrimp dumplings. I recommend getting the Chili Crisp sauce.

Wow! Such a great find while watching live music at The Abby Highway 40. The menu had many options and we tried the pork dumplings and the pork and shrimp dumpling. Try the dumplings with the chili crisp sauce (if you like a lil heat). We also had the bbq pork bao buns and the Dan Dan noodles. Everything was delicious. The staff are friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. It's a cute lil food 'camper' that was putting out great food to many people throughout the night. I wish they had a store front location in south Reno. I'd be there a lot. If you're downtown definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Cool little spot outside next to the bar. Kinda hard to find cause the trailer is facing the back patio. I was there late so maybe it's easier during the day. I got the classic pork dumplings and it was nice waiting in their patio area by the fire. The dumplings were good I just felt like they weren't homemade. Seemed like they came from a package and were more or less steamed on site. Taste was good just didn't exactly do it for me. Although I'm probably totally wrong because they have other flavors and options available.

We ordered all three flavors (pork, chicken, shrimp&pork dumplings) and not sure which one was which but they were all good. They were out of the ginger sauce and wish I would've had it with my dumplings. I had it with the chili crunch and was still pretty good. We waited around 15 mins or so and wish our dumplings come out warmer. (I blame it on the outdoor summer breeze). The outdoor courtyard was pretty empty when we go there (it was perfect actually) and I loved the ambiance of the fire pits and various seating areas, music and the bar next door. Can't wait to try the bao buns next since they were sold out when we got there around 9pm on a Sunday. Note to self: get there earlier next time! Suggestion: perhaps write dumpling flavors on container especially when multiple options are ordered? Thank you

I found this dumpling place on Instagram and is so excited to try them out! We parked in the back and there's an open gate you can come in through. It goes straight to the dumpling food truck. We ordered the set of 10 pork and 10 shrimp&pork dumplings with all 4 different types of sauces (Black Vinegar & Ginger, Chili Crisp, Hot Mustard Aioli, and Soy Sauce). The pork soup dumplings are very flavorful, but I do wish there was more soup in each dumpling! The shrimp&pork dumplings were very good too! The dumplings did not break so there was more soup inside. When you first bite into it, the warm soup burst in your mouth with the flavors! The staff told us it was a 15 minute wait for everything. However, one of their steamers broke while it was cooking one of our orders and the guy offered us 5 extra dumplings because of the wait. This is amazing service! The aesthetics of the outside area gives a warm and welcoming feel with the extra large TV, pergolas, and fire pit seating. The areas around the fire pit was dirty from previous people spilling their sauces/food/drinks. I hate the cold, but sitting outside next to the fire pit was warm. I definitely will come back here!

I love their (2) BBQ Pork Buns! I wish we would have also gotten dumplings this time, because the Spicy Pork Noodles (Dan Dan Mian) are SPICY SPICY!!! I usually can handle some spice, but I had a hard time with this dish. My friend happily finished them. Be prepared to wait a little while, but know they're working hard in the cute food trailer. And the vibes are always fun during your wait! It was a blast to hang out with friends by a fire on a Friday evening. Definitely a gem tucked away on Fourth Street!

So.. this was a great find on a spontaneous night out. It's a food truck located downtown off of 4th St. In front of the food truck are a few pergolas with beautiful lights and heaters. There is also a long fire pit with chairs to sit in and even blankets to use if you need them. This food truck offered alcohol and other beverages, ice cream and of course steamed dumplings. We ordered the pork & shrimp dumplings with soy sauce and black vinegar w ginger. We weren't really a fan of the vinegar ginger sauce but the soy sauce worked just fine. *** Warning! If you just pour the sauce over the dumplings, the tray does not hold the sauce & the sauce will leak from the bottom. It spilled a little over my jeans but thankfully I had a napkin under to catch most of the sauce. The dumplings are cooked to order but for some reason ours were a little cold.. and we waited about half an hour for them. Other than that, they were pretty good with the basic filling and not too much going on, which in my opinion: simple is better.

Hidden in plain sight behind Abbeys is this gem. Whether you're looking for some tasty dumplings, out and about or just stumble upon it, it's always a great time for this! It's a favorite on trivia night some weeks. The chicken are my favorite but there's also pork and shrimp/pork as well. The pork bao buns are also another fan (me) fave! Food does take some time, but it's worth the wait.

    Sake!

The porky ribs have potential but It was too lightly drizzled when it needed to be drowned in that sweet and tangy sauce. It was also cooked rather dry on the exterior but the interior was nicely juicy and tender. The bulgogi bowl was actually spicy pork instead of beef. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. The tofu soup was solid. It hit all the right spots and was comfort food personified. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Overall, I am sure there are other items that might hit the spot and I would love to return and try a selection of entrees another time. The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

This long-time Reno favorite is especially popular with the younger crowd due to the South Midtown location. Popularity is its main weakness though as it makes parking a headache, (not an area to leave valuables), and there is almost always a wait, often nearing or exceeding an hour during prime weekend dinners. No reservations. Don't be surprised if you have to wait outside or in your car. Once seated, place fewer large orders instead of many small ones since staff are stretched thin. Conversation can be tough with the loud packed room and music. Sports usually on big screens. Even at the sushi bar, it is not the usual experience. You still order on paper. High bar fridges block the view, and with 6 to 8 chefs working fast, conversation is unlikely. You are there to eat, not watch the craft or make a new friend behind the bar. Fish quality is about as good as AYCE gets in Reno, and the rice is less sugary than most. Nigiri often has the best fish-to-rice ratio in town. Good roll selection, including a Salmon Skin Handroll. Like many spots, some rolls are heavy on eel sauce or mayo, making the fish secondary unless you skip sauce or choose simpler options. The baked mussel appetizer was drenched in sweet sauce and tasted like candy. Surprised there was no mayo on those too. Price is a couple dollars above average local AYCE but worth it if you tolerate the wait, still cheaper than casinos. Monday through Thursday, sake is included. Arguably the best spot in Reno right now, though on a busy night I might pick one of the close seconds if I want to eat quickly. Upon being seated, we were told to fill out the all-you-can-eat order form as many times as we wanted, which sounded great. I personally don't eat sushi, but I appreciated that they offered protein options like chicken and beef. I ordered a Bento box--simple enough. That's where things started to go downhill. My meal didn't arrive for over 30 minutes, and when it finally did, it was cold. The chicken tasted like pressed meat and was extremely chewy--definitely not what you'd expect from a basic entrée. I wasn't planning to complain, but it became clear the issue wasn't just my order. The other four people in my group were barely being served at all. Meanwhile, tables that were seated after us were receiving multiple rounds of food while we continued waiting. We asked several servers for updates, and each time we were told they'd check on it--only for them to disappear for 10-15 minutes with no follow-up. After spending over two hours there, many of us left hungry and frustrated. I understand places like this may rely on high turnover or tourist traffic, but customer service and basic food quality should still matter. If you're taking the time to read reviews before choosing where to eat, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. And just to top it off--the ice cream was so frozen solid in its pre-staged cup that the spoon couldn't even break through it.
