We came back for our 6th Valentines celebration and it doesn't disappoint. One of the best restaurants in Buffalo. The Lobster Bisque was amazing and had some much lobster! Our server was super friendly and helpful when I was trying to pick my items. It's a small dining area but they do have an outdoor heated covered area. It's not too busy either which is nice to have a private moment.

Been here a couple of times for happy hour, but finally went for a proper meal. I took advantage of their Buy One, Get One Free lunch special, which comes with the caveat of the second meal is covered only up to $15 (nothing is 15 dollar except the salads). So you will still spend a few dollars extra with the special. Still a great deal to get a meal for later or if grabbing lunch with someone downtown. I opted for the Chez Burger and Pulled Pork Sandwich (for later). The burger was 8oz Chuck/Ribeye Blend Angus with Fig Jam, Garlic Aoli on a Brioche bun. It came with a side of fries and was delicious! I highly recommend the burger. I took a bite of the pulled pork to try it while it was freshly served it was alright. It had a bit of a different taste to it that I'm used to with pulled pork, but that could have been due to the Citrus Coleslaw served on the sandwich. Overall it was a solid dining experience and I enjoyed my meal at the revolving bar, which is always a enjoyable time.

As mentioned in my review four years ago, great food and service. Will continue to come back many times over! As we have been here twice for brunch, we need to come for a nice dinner in the near future!

I will start by saying the positives driving some rating- our server was amazing. I can't recall his name (young kid with glasses) but he was so great and friendly and this doesn't reflect him. Additionally the appetizers we had were delicious- the burnt ends and the bread with the fig butter. But then it went downhill. We had to send back a steak for being well done when the request was medium rare. When the next steak came back it was medium rare but hardly any seasoning or sear on it. By the time the second one came out, my fiancée and I did not even get to eat together because it took so long. The potato wedges were hard and undercooked with his steak as well. Separate from the food, the hotel had what seemed to be workers who were off-shift dressed in going out clothes going in and out of the kitchen and at the hostess desk being loud and inconsiderate of those dining. That, coupled with the fact that the restaurant is not in a private area, was extremely distracting and doesn't fit the bill for an eating experience that is supposed to be more high end. Overall the cost of dining here was absolutely not worth the food quality or the ambiance which was super disappointing. Picture is of the crème brûlée and espresso martini which were both good.

Stopped in for a drink. The bartender was nice but very slow. Drinks were ok. The espresso martini was fine.

This was my first time coming here for brunch! I highly recommend making a reservation. Chez Ami is located on the first floor of the Curtiss Hotel. You can park on the street but I just parked in the garage across the street for $4. Our waiter David was very nice! I ordered the crab benedict and it was soooo good! The eggs were poached to perfection and the crab was delicious! The portions were decent for the price. My friends and I also got a mimosa pitcher to share and it wasn't bad! It was $15. Overall, I would definitely come back!!!!

We came here to enjoy a drink at the revolving bar after dinner elsewhere. They have such a unique seasonal drink menu. They also have elaborate mocktails with quality ingredients. I've noticed a lot of that in Ontario, especially Toronto, even at chains, but it's not really a thing in the States. Kudos. My husband had a s'mores martini with stoli vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, and chocolate liquor - complete with a big marshmallow and graham cracker chocolate rim. So good. I had something called a Fireside. With ingredients like Grey Goose vodka, pomegranate liquor, simple syrup, maraschino liquor, triple sec, sweet vermouth, and angostura bitters, I couldn't understand why it was called 'Fireside' but it sounded yummy. Then I tasted it. All those fruity ingredients, and it tastes like a more refined fireball. What witchcraft is this? Angostura bitters can have a hint of cinnamon. I guess it came from that. It tasted magical at any rate. Just an enchanting mix of flavors with a hint of spice. Great service. The only downside is the seats are secured to the floor. My husband and I felt very far away from each other. The lounge upstairs has the same menu. Downstairs for business, upstairs for pleasure?

One of the most beautiful buildings downtown! Appetizers were phenomenal and so was dinner! Desserts delicious as well! Loved the shuffle board upstairs and all the decorations!

This was my first time eating at Chez Ami. From other reviews, I had high expectations and they didn't disappoint. We had ordered our cocktails at the bar, just prior to our reservation time. The bartender did a great job preparing them. He was very methodical and mixed one cocktail at a time, which is probably why they turned out so perfect. I like my Martinis up. I don't know how he did it but it was the coldest Martini I have ever had. My guess is he chilled the glass with a shot of liquid nitrogen. It was great. After being seated for dinner and reviewing the menu, I ordered French Onion Soup as a starter. The soup tasted very good. The only thing that was odd about it was that there was some sort of breadcrumb/grated cheese mixture on top of the melted cheese that although tasty, had a weird mouth feel. I would still order it again. The rest of my meal was fine. I had short ribs for my entree and bread pudding for dessert. Only thing I didn't care for is that the bread pudding had a wood smoke taste. It may have been baked in a wood fired oven. I don't mind smoked savory food but I'd rather not have smoke flavored desserts. It was a very enjoyable meal that was made even better by great conversations with friends. However, next time I will order the chocolate cake for dessert. The diner at the next table was raving about it.

The ambiance is upscale and ritzy. Our waitress was super nice but she was running around the whole place. It looked like they a little discombobulated. Our food took about an hour to come out so if I had somewhere to be I would have been a little annoyed but everything was delicious! The creme brulee was an amazing way to end the meal!

I came here with my sister and her boyfriend, a little unsure of what to expect. I ordered the Goose in the Garden drink because it sounded refreshing and citrusy, but it legit tasted exactly like a watermelon jolly rancher. Maybe that sounds like a treat to you! If so, I highly recommend. I didn't hate it, I just don't think I'd order it again. We love a charcuterie board, so we got a small meat only board. It came with three meats, some bread, and a few other condiments and nuts. I wish so badly that the meats tasted better, but they were slimy and had very little flavor. It seemed like maybe they had been pre-plated and sitting in the fridge for a while. I ordered the scallops with chorizo on top, over some kind of tasty puree with apple slices. WOWWW. This was really tremendous. I don't think I've ever eaten scallops that perfectly cooked before, and I've definitely never eaten a chorizo crumble like that. The salty/sweet flavors were absolutely divine. This dish will bring me back, for sure. We finished dinner with a vanilla bean panna cotta for dessert, and much like the meats, it just didn't have great flavor or texture. Pretty bland unless we scooped up a bunch of the peaches that were on top. But those scallops though *chefs kiss*.

Shredded chicken a la vodka - small (Special)

Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. We were really impressed with the building decor and our waitress was very attentive too. Drinks - wide variety of wines ($9/glass and up), cocktail menu ($10 and up), and good selection of draft and bottle beer ($5 and up). All of the drinks were good but were very slow to come out. Food - my sister ordered the steak and pepper pizza and let me have a slice and it was AMAZING! It had a very thin crust, delicious toppings under a bed of cheesy cheese, mmmmMMM! I ordered a small sized pasta from the specials menu (shredded chicken a la vodka) which was also very tasty. And even though it was the small size, I came home with leftovers. My mom ordered a steak with a side of brussel sprouts and bacon after reading a rave review on the sprouts. Unfortunately they were pretty under cooked but the waitress did a great job getting my mom a replacement side dish. Other than the amount of flies (which were starting to get out of hand) the atmosphere was really nice and we all enjoyed our meals for the most part. The rotating bar is neat too, it's so slow you may not even realize it's moving.

Enjoyed a nice stay at the Curtiss hotel and got to enjoy some fine dining at Chez Ami. Some delicious seafood pasta in a nice white sauce with fresh chunks of lobster meat and jumbo shrimp. Other dish was a ravioli in a nice butter sauce with bacon and walnuts, unique and different. Great service and an interesting drink menu make this a place you have to try

    Steak, dig it.

Yes. There was a wide range of dress. That would be acceptable.

The protein choices are: 4 flavors of chicken, 2 flavors of tri-tip steak, Korean BBQ pork or tofu. The protein is served on purple rice with a side of Cole slaw. For our additional sides( choices were sweet potatoes, rosemary potatoes, Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese. I picked both of the potato sides. The Cole slaw seemed watery, and the steak, which had nice flavor, was a bit chewy. I think tri-tip tends to be tougher as it has little or no fat on it. The potatoes and rice were nice and flavorful. I have had very good bowl meals here in the past. I think the bowls, with more ingredients served together, is a better flavor boost than "the Box".

I overlooked all of that because they use whole foods and the taste was decent. Fast forward to 2025, I've included a photo of a turkey burgundy sandwich with a small bag of Lay's (weird choice, but ok) and a pickle spear, which costs $17.25 before you even add tax or tip. I also got the French Onion Hummus to share, absolutely delicious, we've had it before. The tables were so simple but had flowers and cool table lamps. I started with a glass of wine, and we split the whipped feta as an appetizer. They also brought some fresh bread with balsamic olive oil. Both fantastic and warmed my soul. I ordered the Filet, and it was so perfectly seasoned and cooked - I mean, can't really go wrong with steak that's drizzled with bacon butter! Hoping that they change their menu up every so often so we can try more creations!
