    This place has all the Cantonese staples. I placed a to-go order in person for the HK style spareribs and the Peking spareribs. The HK style spareribs taste very similar to sweet and sour pork but not as sour. The Peking spareribs are really tasty and are on the sweet side. And the portions were good! My order was ready 15 minutes after I placed it. If you want to eat in person, they have a lot of seating.

    We got this hugh Singapore noodle. Tad of a kick. Our go-to liver rice noodles. Chew chiu dumpling with peanut. Chicken feet. Salted egg lava bun (custard and salty egg). I love their tea kettle. No spillage. Just a bit heavy. Service was good. You do have to flag them down.

We had alot of demands as we had to cater to our elderly parents needs . We had a nice cake n Tony put on a birthday song for my 90 year father in Law. Very nice touch.     Solid Chinese restaurant. This restaurant has become go to dim sum restaurant. The portions are great and the price is about standard for San Francisco. The food tastes great and you can find your standard Chinese dim sum and noodle/rice dishes here. The staff here are friendly and quick to clear the tables. The restaurant is pretty small so the tables are pretty close to each other. This restaurant is pretty popular so expect a line especially on the weekends. You can make reservations but you may end up still waiting just not as long. There is only street parking here so come early to find parking.

    We came on Saturday around 11:30am and got seated away for 6 adults and 2 children. We ordered the usual items and everything tasted good. I like the ha cao and xiu mai were huge and fresh. One unusual item that I love is the durian pastry. I also love their hot tea, chrysanthemum. You ordered on a check list, no carts. Service was great.

    Such a disappointment after almost two years of them being open? I thought they might've figured out all their kinks out but I guess not... Made a reservation for 6pm for 8 people. Got seated quickly and had to flag down the waitress a couple times to order ... 1.5 hours later we only got served warm (not piping hot) westlake beef soup.. tofu was a bit sour Peking duck and bun (buns were cold still... like it came out of the fridge) And a fish and bok choy dish.. mind you some of the fish was still RAW. We ended up cancelling the rest of our order and left still hungry... After reading other reviews and having hope that they would fix the food/ service I would not recommend this place for anyone nor would I come back.

    Cheung Hing has good dim sum and a nice option if you happen to be in the Richmond area. It's an old school Cantonese restaurant but order via menu. We arrived right before noon on a Saturday morning. It was packed but we were seated after a short wait. It's a very basic restaurant, even the chairs and decorations still have the Mayflower branding (previous business). I observed that a customer at another table spilled some food on the floor when packing their leftovers. The restaurant could offer better service by lending a hand with packing leftovers and/or wiping up the mess on the floor before seating the next party. Overall, we'll be back. It's a fair and reasonably priced dim sum meal with tea, freshly cooked to order food, and efficient service.

    Great attentive service at this restaurant. We celebrated our family's Lunar New Year lunch and made reservations for 3 tables and preordered our food a few days before. The lines for lunch/ dim sum aren't ridiculous like other places but the food is also just average. Of all the dishes we ordered, the roasted duck with steamed buns was my favorite.

    Had a family dinner here as my cousins were going to fly back to HK. I've came here many times and always enjoyed my time here but this time was a little different. The manager? wanted to change one of our dishes to siu-yook with green beans. It was originally eggplant and green beans dish. We just said ok because we can tell she will go on and on about how this new dish will suit us better and we already had another eggplant dish, which we didn't mind. I realize she probably wanted this change as the siu yook was probably from the afternoon lunch time, she wanted to get rid of it so she came up with this dish. Just MY theory and some of me family members felt the same. She was pushing real hard for us to change the dish. My boyfriend also didn't want their dessert so I asked the waitress can you give us one less bowl of it. She was fine with it but the manager? overheard and made a big deal out of it. She wanted us to take the extra bowl even if no one was going to eat it and went on and on about it. There was a couple of other small things she did which I wasn't very fond of. All of the times I've came here I hadn't seen her before so I never had this issue. Overall, some of the food was good but some was to salty. Despite this 'bad' experience, there was many good experiences I had here and would still want to come again... just hope the manager? wasn't there LOL

    No frills Chinese restaurant. Come for the generous portions, and expect little to no service. We came in Father's Day and service was a bit slow. Lots of large parties today and it took about an hour for all our dishes to come out. But on a normal weekday, service is quick! Food wise, it's good for a casual family meal. My go-to dish is the Ying Yang fried rice. One side with a chicken tomato sauce, the other with a creamy shrimp sauce on top of a simple egg fried rice. Flavors blend so well and it's like getting two dishes in one! Eggplant and string beans - must get dish here! Green beans and eggplant are crisp yet soft. And it's all smothered in a delicious umami garlic sauce. Beef stew with clear broth - big chunks of tender beef. However daikons today were a bit tough. Broth is okay. I would pass on this. Stir fry frog - deep fried frog pieces with onions and garlic. It has a nice crunchy exterior and tastes like fried chicken. Good dish to try! At the end of the meal, we got some desserts on the house. Today it was a choice between turtle jello and red bean soup. I couldn't make up my mind so I got both! desserts are perfect for the Asian taste palate :)

    There are some mixed feelings about Cheung Hing on Geary and 27th. On the one hand, their Chinese food is good and tasty, but on the other hand, their service is just okay. To top it off, they do something really sneaky when you get the bill...they automatically add 18% tip to the bill (doesn't matter how many people are in your party)...and then they add a line item for additional tip when they run your credit card. I've been to Cheung Hing twice, once for dim sum and once for dinner. Each time, we had a party of 3. For dim sum, we ordered some of the standard dim sum items - siu mai, shrimp rice roll, spring rolls, chicken feet, bean curd tofu skin rolls, and a specialty soy marinated tofu. The food was pretty good. When we received the bill, we didn't realize there was 18% tip already added so we added tip on the tip line after the credit card was ran. When we came here for dinner recently, we ordered the honey walnut prawns, clams with black bean sauce, and the two item BBQ combo with roast duck and soy sauce chicken. The honey shrimp was good! The clams were pretty good as well, but sometimes you can get a bite that is a bit sandy. I probably wouldn't order the BBQ combo again because the duck pieces that they gave us were the worst pieces...the neck and other area that barely had any meat. Maybe getting a whole or half duck might bring about some better pieces? Cheung Hing is an authentic Chinese restaurant as most of the staff barely speak English (best if you can speak Cantonese or some Mandarin) and most of the clientele are Asian Asian. The service is a bit lacking, as we always had to flag someone down when we needed something (like water or a refill). The owner had friends singing karaoke in the corner at night. Furthermore, they automatically included an 18% tip on the bill, but didn't provide good service. I tried to ask about the auto-tip, but they barely grunted a word and walked away.

After A long back and forth my food was finally ready. The store was a no frills place. The food was delicious and they even included some steamed vegetables.

The spicy lamb dumplings were another highlight, with an incredibly thin wrapper and a super flavorful and not gamey at all lamb filling. I also loved the stir fried rice cakes, which were sliced thin enough to avoid that overly chewy texture, and the stir fried noodles Shanghai style were classic and simple in the best way, with big chunks of cabbage and meat and just executed really (the chefs clearly have some serious wok skills!). Not everything we ordered was an absolute knockout as the vegetable dishes could use a bit more flavor and seasoning, but everything overall was good, and the portions across the board were very generous. The desserts were a last-minute decision and I am so glad we went for them. The lava custard buns were fluffy and amazing, with a molten salted egg custard inside, and the sesame balls had a satisfyingly crispy exterior that gave way to a perfectly chewy interior and sweet red bean filling. The value here is also excellent. We left absolutely stuffed and spent around $30 per person, which felt like a great deal for how much food we got and how much we enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

The crispness of the sautee makes the string beans a lovely pairing with the soft yummy of the steamed buns. Last came the sesame balls as a sweet meal ending. I love donuts and fresh-made sesame balls are similar to a donut hole just with a filling that is actually food and so sweetly tasty. The outer fry was crisp and the insides absolutely perfect. Three dishes, all fantastic, and I walk home happy and thankful to Bao for a great simple meal!

Heads up that this is mostly a takeaway spot and they only have 1-2 small tables. The siu mai was fairly big and I liked that the order came with a bunch of sauces- chili oil, soy sauce, and a hot sauce. As a big sauce fan, I appreciated the selection! The baked bbq pork buns are sweet with a decent amount of filling. The deep fried dumpling is plump, juicy, and crunchy. The shrimp and chive dumplings are my favorite. It's full of shrimp with a slightly thicker skin, which I think adds a nice chewiness. The veggie egg rolls were okay. I personally wouldn't order those, even if I was craving them. The spare ribs had a really nice savory flavor from the sauce. The egg tarts were okay. I need to note that these bags are leftovers from the day, so they're not as fresh. But they held up the next day so I was able to stretch 2 meals out of them. I can't comment on service since these bags are only for pick up. But they quickly provide the bags once the window open. And it's a small space, with maybe 2 tables. So this place is probably best for to-go orders. Their 2g2g bags have more variety than their Chinatown location. Not sure how many dim sum options there are in the Mission, but I would go here if I was in the area and craving a shrimp and chive dumpling.
