Chicken chow fun and sesame balls.
    Margie N.

I was craving for some noodles and decided to try this place. The noodles were delicious and it was enough for 2-3 people. It reminded me of my childhood when my mom made it. The sesame balls are good it taste like it was freshly made. The service is good I ordered online through an app they provided. The place was small that I saw when I picked up my food but enough for you to enjoy your food. Overall, I will come back again.

Decent food If you're looking for basic take out Chinese food It came fresh and delicious I ordered delivery and it came super fast My only complaint is the food is a tad salty after you've been eating it for a while so you need a lot of water with it I enjoyed the white rice, but the potstickers were just the frozen ones you get from Trader Joe's so I'd prob not order them again.

The best Chinese food! It's that good authentic Chinese that panda just can't do. The service is great also. Everyone is super nice and quick, they make everything fresh to order so it's not sitting under a heat lamp. Little on the pricer side but you get a lot of food so it's worth it. Def check this place out the next time you're wanting Chinese!

Today was Easter Sunday and I wanted to order Chinese Cuisine for my dinner time meal today. I placed my online order on the Door Dash App on my IPhone at 7 p. m. I ordered from the Chen's Kitchen website. It included one Chow Chicken Fen. The price was $15.99. My next order was the Pot Stickers that is filled with shredded chicken meat and it includes 8 pieces. The price was $10.00. Then I also added the one small box of White Rice. The price is $3.00. The delivery fee was $1.49. I don't have the Dash Pass Membership anymore since it has expired in December of 2023. The prices are more expensive now. The subtotal was $28.98. The Service fee was $4.35. The Estimated Tax was $2.39. The Dasher Tip for Christian was $3.50. My total cost was $40.71. Also included in my order was their condiments, one large container of Chili Sauce, 4 packets of Soy Sauce, 2 Siracha Sauce Packets, and this one small container of Sesame Sauce. Then I received a generous stack of white napkins with 2 plastic forks and 3 plastic spoons. My dessert was the 4 packages of Fortune Cookies. I charged this amount to my credit card account. The weather conditions today were really not good. It was raining throughout the day today. I looked on the Door Dash App and it said that Christian is waiting to pick up my order at Chen's Kitchen tonight. Christian delivered my Chen's Kitchen Order to my front door at 7:47 p. m. tonight. It was raining really hard when he brought my order to my home. I opened up my front door. Christian was very friendly, and he smiled then he told me that he doesn't mind the rain. Then I told him to have a Happy Easter today. Christian then handed me one large bag with my order packed inside with a brown paper bag and a white plastic bag on the outside. Then Christian said goodbye and he drove off. I took my Chen's Kitchen Order inside my house. I had to re-heat 2 of the Chicken Pot Stickers and one serving of the Chicken Chow Fen with one scoop of the white rice. I made one cup of hot tea for my beverage. I didn't see any drinks on their menu today. After I re-heated everything up tonight for my dinner time. I sat down to eat everything. The Chicken Chow Fen had the correct amount of seasoning added to it. It was flat noodles with tender pieces of chicken meat that was marinated for a long time. There was also some veggies mixed into this dish. It was very tasty. The white rice was a perfect combination with this Chicken Chow Fen. I had a lot of this Chinese Food left over because I received a generous serving of it. I only could eat 2 Chicken Pot Stickers but they were both very crispy of the outside and has delicious chicken meat filled inside. i was very satisfied with my Chen's Kitchen meal today. It was a delicious Easter dinner that I enjoyed eating.

    Order summary

Heard a few good things about this place and thought we would check it out. We ordered online for pickup. We arrived to get our order only to find that they mistakenly made us Garlic Chicken instead of Orange Chicken. The lady was nice and quickly made us the right dish. She also gave us the Garlic Chicken at no cost. Very nice of her. When we got home and unpacked everything, we found that they gave us Kung Pao Chicken instead of Kung Pao Beef. At this point I'm not going to call and complain but just enjoy what they gave us. We all ate and chatted about the taste of the food and all agreed that it was just ok, very bland and lacked flavor. The Kung Pao Chicken and Garlic Chicken were very similar in taste, enough so, that we actually thought they were the same dish. As you can see from my order summary, 4 items plus tip was over $70 and a service fee on top of that. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, especially when there are better options close by.

Fast, friendly service AND great food. We ordered wonton soup, beef broccoli, fried bananas and potstickers. We only had a chance to take a pic of beef broccoli, rest were gone fast. Lol. Everything was delicious! Support small business

Great customer service. The freshest thinnest food I've had in awhile. This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. If you're in the area order to go and feed the family with the healthy portions or enjoy the cooking going on inside. The food and service is a 10. Very welcoming staff. Ambiance is out done by the food.

Maybe I come from a different viewpoint as a retired chef. And ..... that being said ~ everyone at the table said they thought it was an experience. It's because the people in charge and the people cooking have Michelin training. It's because they are more than open in every area, to growing. I'm building a Restaurant Community, and so are they as they educate you about the many intricacies of the beautifully plated food. I must say all of us we're totally impressed at their new $100 dinner. We came in to just get a meal and within minutes we all agreed to go for the $100 choice. Debbie says: "I know they said 4 or was it five courses, but this is certainly way beyond that. I've stopped counting the number of courses". I will give you a little 'sneaky peaky' in the pictures. And I do agree it's an abundance of food and an abundance of flavors. One word of caution: do not go here for regular American Chinese style food. That's not what this is. It's way better, certainly than anything we get in San Diego called Chinese. I normally share comments in this space from the people I eat with. But this time around (since they're always changing up the menu) I don't think would be fair to you. If I talk about a dish that is unbelievable, an incredible combination of flavors (which most dishes are) you'll go in and want to order and it will no longer be on the menu because it's "chefs choice" for $100, with the waiter asking what your preferences from the menu are. So I will hold back a little in details. What I will say is this: you should absolutely try this restaurant once. And if you can afford it, invest in the $100 experience. Otherwise ask them for the top 3 dishes people have ordered and enjoyed the most. Last recommendation (because they've had it on the menu for a while, always equally good) "Don't miss the duck". The next day I was reheating leftovers (4 containers of leftovers) and still thoroughly enjoying their food and 'wow'd' by how they carefully cut the meat (not just the duck). Wines are pricey right now. But they're working on it. With garlic, gusto & gratitude, Chef Marian San Diego & Carlsbad Foodies

DONGPO PORK BELLY with tallegio-scallion polenta cake and daikon was a confusing. I love pork belly. I love grits. but in the dim lighting, it was hard to distinguish contrasting flavors and textures. I needed more visual clues. I did not properly visualize the dish until we got home and posted photos that were light-adjusted. the duck was a survey course of five regions. Lanzhou: AROMATIC CHILI and DUCK FAT condiment was one of the five regions from the duck series. server recommended as an add for the other four regions, but portion was insufficient for two, much less the other four. Guangdong: DUCK NECK CONGEE (duck-rice porridge with duck-skin cracklings and puffed wild rice). It was a lot more complex and interesting than I would have guessed from the menu description. really quite good. Shandong: caramelized honey crisp apple, parsnips, smoked bamboo, and crispy duck crackling. a muddled and incohesive dish. no center to hold things together. more quiet cacophony than robust harmony. Sichuan: Zhangcha jasmine tea smoked DUCK BREAST with charred scallions and duck jus. perfectly cooked, gorgeous presentation, but underseasoned. would have appreciated a sprinkling of flake salt and cracked black pepper to finish. the Hong Kong BREAD PUDDING with coconut-caramel sauce fell short. I'm a huge bread pudding AND caramel fan but was just okay. genius concept but for me, their reach as often as not exceeded their grasp.

Service was efficient and the food came out quickly even with our large party. Everything we ordered was delicious. The XLB soup dumplings were juicy and flavorful, the pan fried buns had a perfectly crispy bottom, and the green onion chicken noodles were fresh and comforting. The spicy mixed chicken had great flavor with just the right amount of heat. Overall the food tasted fresh, authentic, and well executed. It is not always easy for restaurants to handle a large group with kids, but they made it seamless. Great food and great service. We will definitely be back.

We started with the spicy pot, which came out bubbling hot and packed with ingredients. It had a nice kick without being overwhelming, and the flavors were rich and savory. It had a strong cumin flavor, which makes this dish pretty authentic. Get this dish with rice, the sauces goes well with it. The soup noodles with fried pork were super comforting. The broth was light but flavorful, and the fried pork added a really nice crispy texture that balanced well with the noodles. My nephew likes noodles but without alot of flavor so this dish was perfect for him. The fried dumplings were crispy on the bottom with juicy filling inside--exactly what you want. We also got the steamed chicken with chili oil, which was tender and coated in that classic fragrant, slightly spicy chili oil that adds so much flavor without being too heavy. The green onion pancake was another favorite--crispy, flaky, and airy. It tasted freshly made.
